Infatuation P2
Infatuation P2
Joe Goldberg x Reader x Love Quinn
Warning: Social media stalking and slight manipulation.
Notes: I’m thinking to myself... Why is this fanfic going on for so long? Then I remember this is only Part 2. I’m also going to use this time to state that I reread a lot of what I write and update older posts. If an update severely changes the story, I will make a seperate post about it!
I close and lock the door behind me, set my bag down, and open my phone.
You didn’t have a Facebook profile, but I easily found your Instagram account while searching through Love’s recently tagged posts.
Your name is Y/N L/N and you’re a writer. Bells are ringing in my ears now... you already feel so familiar.
Your account only has 4 posts. Two of which were posted no less than three years ago of a pet goldfish named Watson, the next being seven months ago of your work space. Your most recent post was a top down photo of one of your many scandalous lunches with Love.
From what I’ve gathered, you seem distant from social media. Your account is public, but you don’t actively engage with it. You stand around and allow other people to interact with you first. Now that I think about it, I don’t think I’ve ever seen you begin a conversation on your own.
You like the attention, but you don’t want to seem like someone who does... Am I getting you right?
Damn it, this is harder than I thought.
~
It’s Friday.
Love and I are setting the table as we talk. I pretend not to know which side the fork and spoons go, hoping to get Love to place them for me. Maybe I’m just being childish but I think there’s something sweet about her dedication to something so simple.
“Did Forty tell you about his story?” I ask.
“I know what’s on your mind.” Love states bluntly.
What’s on my mind...? Love is on my mind, dinner is on my mind... and in some universe, Forty is on my mind.
“If you wanted to talk about Y/N, you could of just asked.” She continued.
She’s catching on quick.
“I know what Forty told you.” Love gave me a worried look. Her usual worried look, if I may add. I would say this situation is bothering her, but I have the strange feeling that there’s more behind it. “She’s been through a lot. I know you’re probably curious, but I don’t think you should bring it up.”
“Love, it’s not my place to get involved.” Im lying. It definitely is.
“Just behave. Don’t scare her off.”
So you’re coming over to Love’s place and having dinner with her friends and I. Despite what Love has to say, a couple questions can’t possibly hurt.
No, no. Shut up, Joe, Will. Whatever my name is now. Stop thinking. Love wants me to behave and I will. In Love’s words that means don’t dig deeper.
But that only leads me to be more curious on her position with this secret friend of hers. This is the most public Love has been with you, but it’s still too private for my liking.
The doorbell rings and, before I know it, Love’s longtime LA friends are already making themselves comfortable.
Summer and Lucy are discussing something about flowers in the kitchen while Gabe is admiring the furniture.
I lean on the door frame and watch as Love adds some finishing touches to her lemon squares. She’s smiling down at them, a simple act that makes my heart soar.
The doorbell rings again and I’m reminded of you.
Love begins to untie her apron as she steps towards the front door. I follow further behind and watch her swing open the door.
“Welcome! Come inside.” She says before ushering the new guest in. It’s obviously you, you’re the only one who hasn’t arrived yet.
Love takes your coat and quickly shows you around before starting a conversation with her friends.
There were no introductions. You’ve been around these people before.
Summer and Lucy are now sitting on the sofa and Gabe is admiring the view outside the many windows.
You, on the other hand, are drawn to the lovely aromas in the kitchen.
I subtly follow you. Not to make you feel suspicious, I make my way to the cabinets and get myself a glass.
You watched me walk into the room but you’re keeping quiet.
“Hey. You’re Love’s friend, right? I don’t think we’ve met.” I begin. I know you’re not going to say anything unless I start us off, but I’m hoping things will change in the future.
“Ah, yeah. I am.” You reply. You look nervous. I won’t bite.
“My name’s Will.” I extend my hand. Will you take it?
“I’m Y/N.” You extend your hand too and we shake. Your grip is so incredibly light and your hand easily slid across my skin.
“Oh, Love has mentioned you before. She told me you recently moved back to LA. How’re you adjusting?” Im playing it cool, but I’m internally drawn by whatever lotion you used for those dainty hands.
“It’s easier than I thought... Almost feels like I never left.” You smile as you shift around on your feet.
“I recently moved here myself, though I’ve never lived here before like you.” If I open myself up, I’m hoping you’ll do the same.
“Welcome to the city!” I didn’t expect it, but you’re being playful as you extend your arms in a celebratory manner. You’re quick to retract them and cave in on yourself.
You almost seem like an outgoing girl trapped inside the body of a nervous wreck.
“So, why’d you leave in the first place?”
“Oh— uh.” Huh. Perhaps I overstepped my boundaries, just as Love had told me specifically not to do.
I almost began to overthink ways to save the conversation, but you’re already leaning in and looking around. I believe you were going to tell me something before Love walks into the kitchen.
She smiles at the both of us.
“Perfect, you two can help me move things to the dining room.”
~
Dinner was what I had expected it to be.
Everyone talked but nobody directed themselves at you. I would have almost forgotten you were here if it weren’t for the fact that Love and you would exchange whispers while the others talked.
Should I expect you to always steal Love’s attention from now on? It seems to be a reaccuring theme here.
“Will, you work at Anavrin?” You asked out of the blue. Is the wine opening you up?
Love almost seems surprised aswell.
“Uh, yeah. I work at the bookstore.”
“I remember seeing you there.” You set your fork down. “You like books?”
I smile amusingly. “You can say that.”
Love scoots herself into the conversation. “Will and Forty are working on a story together.”
At the sound of Forty’s name, your eagerness to talk slips away. Something clicks in my head.
Gabe, someone I entirely forgot was even here, cuts in aswell. “Yeah? How’s that going?”
Love rests her hand on my knee expectantly and smiles in my direction, but that doesn’t stop me from seeing her do the same to you.

Valkyrie - Part Two
March 2004B
“They were all killed by a gunshot wound to the head” explained Dr Henry, pulling back the first sheet “The rest of the injuries were inflicted post mortem. Their hands were burnt, possibly with a chemical and their jaws and teeth were smashed, I’m thinking a chisel or similar tool was used.”
“It’s a forensic counter measure” explained Reid “We can’t identify them by dental records or finger prints. Is there any sign of sexual assault?”
You suppressed a shudder at the though of being touched by men like that.
“Not in the most recent body. The others are too decomposed to tell” said Dr Henry
“Hmmm”
“What are you thinking?” you asked Reid. Your stomach was in knots. When the bodies had first been uncovered you had expected them to arrest you straight away. You couldn’t eat or sleep for fear of them coming for you. You had calmed down since then when nothing had happened, but the arrival of the FBI had you on edge.
“There’s no sexual component which means that the purpose of the killing isn’t to satisfy a sexual desire or play out a fantasy. Gun shot is a hands-off way to kill someone, it’s impersonal and clean, plus the steps to obscure their identities…”
You really didn’t like where he was going with this.

Girls’ Night

Spencer Reid x Fem!Reader
BAU Ladies x Fem!Reader
A/N: Based on this scene in s7ep16 “A Family Affair” (I almost cried Bc I thought I couldn’t find the gifs). We were ROBBED not seeing anything from their girls’ night ! So I wrote a lil one-shot about what “happened” during their wild night w/ reader ofc. I hope y’all enjoy it & slide some feedback <3
“Wow you look amazing,” Spencer complimented once y/n emerged from the bathroom. After many cancellations because of cases, she and the BAU ladies were finally having their girls’ night. Penelope had insisted and convinced them to check out a new salsa club that recently opened near her apartment. Spencer had volunteered to watch Henry the couple hours they’d be gone.
Y/n finished putting on her earrings and sauntered over to Spencer who was watching her at the door. “Thanks again for doing this Spence,” she said before leaning up to give him a kiss. She intended for it to be a quick one, but as she was pulling away, Spencer had wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her back in for more.
After finally breaking apart for air, y/n’s thumb lightly traced across his bottom lip as they gazed into each other’s eyes, neither one of them pulling apart. “You’re gonna be the reason I’m late.”
Spencer sighed and gave her one last kiss before they headed over to JJ’s. The car ride was quick, even though Spencer had insisted on taking the “scenic route” so he could spend a couple more minutes alone with y/n. When they finally arrived at the house, not even 10 seconds had passed after they rang the doorbell before it quickly swung open.
“The lovebirds have finally arrived,” Penelope announced as she opened the door and ushered them in.
Emily waltzed out of the kitchen holding two shot glasses in her hands. With a big smile on her face, she handed y/n one of them. “Yessssss, we can finally get this party started!” she cheered as she watched y/n give her a fake hurt look as she grabbed the shot glass.
“You started pre-gaming without me I see,” y/n teased before tossing back the shot. Spencer’s eyes widened for a brief second as he watched y/n take the shot without a question. He’d never seen her drunk so he wondered how big her alcohol tolerance was.
“Hey you girlies can’t be too drunk before we get to where we’re going,” Penelope whined, snatching the second shot glass out of Emily’s hand.
Emily’s pleas for it back were interrupted when JJ finally walked out the living room. “Okay, so I got Henry in his little playpen watching Bubble Guppies. That should keep him pretty entertained for a while.”
“Great because our uber is here,” Penelope excitedly announced, opening the door to head out, Emily and y/n following behind her.
“We’ll only be gone for a couple hours. Please don’t hesitate to call me if you need anything,” JJ said as she headed out the door.
Seeing the worry and hesitation in her eyes, Spencer gently ushered her out the door. “I have 3 PhDs, I think I can handle my godson. Go have fun and be safe!” Watching them pile into the car, Spencer stuck his head out the door and waved bye. A hint of worry and curiosity entered his mind about what kind of trouble they would get into.
JJ sighed once she got into the car. Sensing her worry, y/n gave her hand a gentle squeeze. The car ride was filled with JJ, y/n, and Emily profiling their driver while Penelope ranted about a woman she met in the grocery store the other day. They hadn’t realized they’d arrived until the driver hit the breaks a little too hard. Maybe he’d heard their whispers about him.
“You girlies are gonna love this place,” Penelope squealed as she got out of the car.
“As long as they got some hotties, good music, and alcohol, I’ll love any club you take me to,” Emily said as they entered, she had already starting checking out the club goers. “I’ll grab a table for us.”
“I’ll grab the drinks!” Penelope said, disappearing into the crowd. JJ and y/n looked at each other, silently communicating who should go with who. JJ going with Emily while y/n followed Penelope towards the bar.
As they were waiting for the bartender to make them the special drink of the night, y/n felt an arm wrap around her waist. She instantly shoved it off and spun around to face the stranger. Before she could even tell him to buzz off, Penelope stepped in front of her. “She has a mans already, back off! You’re no where as cute as our Boy Genius,” Penelope barked at the man, staring him down until he left.
“Aw my savior,” y/n awed as she gave Penelope a kiss on the cheek.
After finally getting their drinks and wrestling through all the sweaty bodies, y/n and Penelope found Emily and JJ at a table.
“Finally! I thought Jayje and I were going to have to send out a search party for you two.” Emily handed one of the glasses to JJ and raised hers in the air. “To girls’ night! Who knows when we’ll ever have another one.”
“To girls’ night!” they cheered, toasting.
“What did you even get us?” JJ coughed after taking a sip of the drink.
Unfazed by the strength of the drink, Emily drank every last drop. “All that matters is it looks pretty and tastes good.”
“The bartender said the green fairy was the special of the night, so I figure we go big or go home,” Penelope shrugged before downing her drink. “Now c’mon ladies, show me that them hips don’t lie,” she said as she headed towards the dance floor.
Y/n hesitated for a second before downing her drink and dancing towards Penelope, who was already mixed into the crowd.
JJ took one last sip of her drink and gave Emily her best puppy eyes. “Em come on, let’s join them,” she pleaded.
Emily sighed loudly, not being able to resist JJ, especially her puppy eyes. “The only salsa I want right now belongs on chips,” Emily groaned as she let JJ drag her towards the dance floor.
After a couple green fairies later and some sloppy dancing all night, they somehow managed to all stumble back to Penelope’s apartment. They barely made it inside before the four of them immediately collapsed from exhaustion.
“I just waaannt y’aaaall to know,… that I lurv you biiiiiitches. I’d step on anyoneee for youu beautiful angeelss,” Emily slurred before passing out on the floor in front of the couch.
“I f-feel like I wasss uh s‘posed tooo do som’thang. Sleeeeeep sounds better though,” JJ mumbled before dozing off.
The next morning, while they were all peacefully sleeping, JJ was woken up by a buzzing. She couldn’t tell if the buzzing was from her head or something else. Feeling around the couch, her hand was met with a cool object. She held it up to her face, waiting for her vision to clear up. 7:12. Seeing the time, instantly she remembered what she forgot. She sat up and threw a pillow at Emily to wake her.
“Oh no no no! I told Spencer we’d be back in a couple of hours. I left him all alone with Henry!” JJ panicked before running to the bathroom, feeling sick.
“Please. Stop. Yelling. My head is killing me,” Emily groggily muttered.
“I’m sure Will relieved him of his babysitting duties once he got home last night,” Penelope reassured, clutching her head while she went to grab some water. She didn’t make it far into her kitchen before she walked into something, well someone.
“I’m never drinking that much again. My back and my head hurts,” y/n groaned, waking up on the kitchen floor. Penelope helped her stand up before handing her a glass of water.
The next hour went by in a chaotic blur. From each of them throwing up multiple times, JJ’s panicked phone calls to Will about Henry, Emily tripping over Penelope’s shoe collection, and fighting y/n for the cereal, they somehow all managed to make it in time to cheer on Hotch. Slowly, all four of them walked towards the finish line gates. Each wearing their comfiest clothes and biggest sunglasses. They all looked like they’d been hit by a car, and sounded like it too with all the groans they were making.
“Well well well, look who finally made it. We thought y’all weren’t gonna show up till the race was finished,” Morgan teased, Jack sitting on top of his shoulders.
“Couple hours! Couple hours! ‘Oh Spence don’t worry, we’ll only be gone a couple hours.’ And you all didn’t come back home until sunrise!”
“Why are you yelling?” JJ muttered clutching her head.
“Y/n make your man stop,” Emily pleaded as she leaned on the race’s barricade.
Realizing she and her friends have suffered enough, Y/n wrapped her arms around Spencer’s neck and whispered something in his ear before giving him a quick kiss and turning back towards the race. No one heard what she said except Spencer, whose face immediately turned red. He remained quiet the rest of the race, only until he spotted Hotch reaching the finish line.
“So what’d you say to Pretty Boy to get him to shut up?”

There’s something about things that are taboo that just makes them exciting. Whether it be clandestine lovers meeting in a grimy, cheap ass hotel room to escape from the reality of their day to day lives or the way swingers conspire to share a night with someone else’s body.
What really sucks about the taboo stuff is that it’s that way for a reason. Which explains why I’m currently standing in the middle of a sex dungeon with a dead body in the corner.
Great.
I rubbed my neck as I looked around at the plethora of familiar toys and tricks hanging in the basement. Although it seemed counterintuitive, it was hard for me to imagine how something like this could go so wrong.
Color me surprised when it seemed like the person least preoccupied in this den of sin was Reid, who was currently crouched in front of the victim like she was the only interesting thing in the room.
“See anything Reid?” I called from across the room, currently inspecting the rack of whips and paddles to spot any freshly drawn blood. No dice.
“Yeah, it’s weird…” That was the understatement of the century. “What specifically? There’s a lot of weird down here.”
“I… don’t see any evidence of sexual assault, or a sexual component of any form.” He stood up as he heard me approaching him, still fixated on the woman in front of him. Never once did he take a glance at the objects surrounding him, even as he was clearly talking about them.
Did he just have a really tough stomach, or is he lowkey a little freaky? I wasn’t sure, but I did make a note to figure it out later.
“We’re literally in a sex dungeon.” I remarked, motioning my arm to the room around us. That was the first time he looked around, but even then it was with the most disinterested face I’ve ever seen from a guy who is almost never disinterested. Not even when someone was talking about the fucking Kardashians.
“Yeah, I know. That’s why it’s weird. It’s almost like someone put her here to make us think that it’s involved.”
That was when the local sheriff finally piped in, now that he was apparently done gawking at the contents of the room. “You don’t think it is?”
I hated how judgmental he sounded. It was very clear that he felt this was the poor girl’s fault that she was murdered. Luckily, Spencer did not share that belief.
“No, I don’t. I think she was placed here on purpose, but I don’t think it was a member of the community.”
Dipshit wasn’t taking the answer lightly.
“You’ve gotta be kidding me. These people tie each other up, choke each other, and draw blood for fun. They’re all batshit crazy.”
Reid watched as I rolled my eyes, biting on my tongue as I turned to him with a pissed off face. He shared my frustration with raised eyebrows, but then decided he wasn’t going to leave it at that.
“You know, contrary to popular belief and to some extent our own intuition, psychopathic sexual sadism is incompatible with the BDSM community at large. I don’t think this unsub is part of the community at all. Or at least, he hasn’t been for some time.”
My mouth dropped open a bit as Reid spoke with such confidence on a topic like this. Sometimes this boy made me wonder…

Valkyrie - Part Eight
C/W: Violence. Also this chapter is a bit of a beast in terms of length
September 2011
The few days that Hotchner and Spencer stayed yielded nothing. You spent every night like that first night, reciting the stories from the book from memory as Spencer held you. It was almost enough to make you want to give up and run away.
Almost.
The second night Spencer woke just after midnight with a headache. You found him kneeling in your bathroom, forehead pressed to the cold tile floor.
“How long?” you asked, once he was back lying down in bed, a cloth full of ice pressed to his head.
“Just before JJ left” he mumbled thickly.
“Have you seen a doctor?” you asked.
“I feel like I’ve seen every doctor” he snapped “Sorry, I don’t mean to take it out on you.”
“What do you need?”
“Tell me another one of those stories?”
“Of course”
You spoke softly and gently threaded your fingers through his hair to soothe him but it didn’t seem to help much and finally he brushed your hands away before rolling away from you. You left the story unfinished.

All These Scattered Dreams - Two
Series Masterlist // Main Masterlist
The feeling that overwhelmed you most, apart from abject embarrassment, was grief. You headed back to your apartment and it was only when you were on your couch with a large glass of wine that you allowed yourself to cry. Almost non-stop for an hour you let the tears fall and the alcohol slowly take the edge off of your sadness.
Then when no more tears would come you berated yourself for thinking Spencer could feel the same way as you and for thinking he would fall for someone who couldn’t keep up with his intelligence in the way that Maeve obviously could. Then you berated yourself for allowing yourself to get so invested in a relationship that wouldn’t happen in a million years and for getting so upset over a man. You were a badass FBI agent, strong, independent, and fierce. You shouldn’t be sobbing over the fact that the guy you liked didn’t like you back.
But you were and that wasn’t going to go away any time soon.
