More About TIMEZONE

More about TIMEZONE

So Steve wrote this about his relationship with Eddie because there were a lot of times when they had to be apart because of their jobs.

At some point, Eddie goes on tour and, two to three months in, Steve starts his own tour so not only are they apart all the time but they can barely speak on the phone due to their schedules being a mess.

So, as a surprise, after his tour ends, Eddie plans to crash one of Steve’s show during their song (TIMEZONE if you couldn’t guess). He calls Robin and she plans everything with the band (behind Steve’s back of course).

The time comes and Eddie walks in on the stage, swaps places with Billy and plays the song like it’s nothing.

Steve, being the passionate person that he is, always gives his whole attention to his public during a performance. The only time he turns to his band is during the music solo when he stops singing. Because of that, it takes him some time before he realises that Billy is no longer on stage and, in his place, is his boyfriend who he hasn’t been close to in MONTHS.

No need to say that it made him blue screen entirely and not only did he not turn back to his public after the solo be he simply didn’t sing at all.

Eddie had a mic himself since he had planned on finishing the song with Steve, but, since Steve was no longer mentally responsive, he just finished the song himself.

And it’s not like it was a problem considering Eddie knew that song more than he knew his own.

It also took all of Steve self control to not jump him right there and then with all the accumulated desire of the past months spent apart.

He may or may not have also finished the show with uncomfortably tight pants but that’s another story…

So Steve is the lead singer, but who are the other members?

Carol is the bassist, Thommy H. is the drummer and Billy is the guitarist.

Robin is the band’s manager (and Chrissy is CC’s manager).

I’m not saying he won’t understand. She’s going to tell him everything and be upfront and he’ll be able to see in how bad a situation she was in. Still, she could have been honest from the start (‘I’m not supposed to be here’ or ‘They don’t want you in the society because they think you shouldn’t exist or something’ or ‘I know it’s shitty but I can’t risk getting kicked out because I can’t go back to my dimension’ yada yada)

Also, like I said, it’s not just her. It’s also about Peter and Penny. He will still care for them (of course he will) and they will all be friends again (why wouldn’t they?) but it’s going to take time to get back to what it was.

I mean, speaking from experience, having something like that happen to you (not like that like that but still), it’s not fun at all and really hard to just get over it, emotionally intelligent or not. It took me some time to even have trust in people I had just met and who had never hurt me before. (Not saying it’s going to happen with Miles but still)

Having someone break your trust hits hard and, unfortunately, it takes time to get it back…

Disclaimer: I am not hitting on poor Gwen who was homeless and didn’t have much of a choice (scared kid with nowhere else to go) but

From Miles point of view, who doesn’t really know about her situation, what she did was betrayal. She chose the society over him when it came to letting his dad die and she chased after him when he tried to go home. She was his friend and she broke his thrust.

But she’s not the only one.

Peter and Penny also sided with the society and they also ran after Miles when he tried to escape. Peter went as far as trying to slow him down with the baby-holding talk.

(There is nothing anyone can say to change my mind, that was entirely intentional! How were they supposed to know that Miles would be with Peter and to locate his watch otherwise if he hadn’t planned it)

Because of this, I feel like it would be natural for Miles to not go back to being friends with them (not just Gwen but really the three of them) once everything is over. It’s really easy to break someone’s thrust and really hard to build it back. I’ve seen once to many times in series and movies where someone just forgives and forgets even if they were really hurt by a close friend.

That’s not how that happens in real life most of the time.

I’m not saying that they are never getting back to what they were but that it’s going to take time. Miles is going to need time to learn to thrust them again even if he still cares for them and they helped him the Spot and all.

(because yes you can still deeply care for someone and distrust them)

Anyway… that’s my take on things I know it’s really not everyone who thinks that

CC having to listen to Maneskin's music, because they had never heard of them before learning they would be their first part.

CC not being able to enjoy most of their songs, even if it's their style, because they couldn't understand a word of italian to save their lives.

CC not knowing who Steve is when he asks them if they need anything before the show starts, because he's that much of a gentleman.

CC taking him for some sort of errandboy and Steve going along with it, because why not.

CC (especially Eddie who was flirting like his life was on the line) wanting the floor to open and swallow them whole when Steve comes on stage with his group.

So, a bit more about THE LONELIEST

Steve’s breakup with Nancy was nasty.

So, after that, Steve being in shambles, the band disappeared from the world.

No shows, no interviews, no media posts

Nothing.

And, after about seven to eight months of just being dead to the world, they came back in some small, shitty dive bar in an equally small, nowhere town of Italy.

That night, they did a small show and some people just so happened to recognise them. These people filmed their representation and posted it on social media, being absolutely ecstatic that Måneskin was back.

That video was the one and only proof that THE LONELIEST existed. The band never sang it again and never talked about it even when they were asked. The title came from the fans after being called “the secret song” or “the grieving song” for so long.

That being said,

At his first meeting with Corroded Coffin (you know the one were the boys thought Steve was the errand boy?), he talked with them just for the fun of it. CC were the first people to ever be told the meaning of the song (apart from Steve’s friends and family of course).

Which Garreth and Grant (“the freak”) found weird that this random errand boy knew about this because they had done some research about the band (more than Eddie and Jeff) and they hadn’t found anything about that song.

Doesn’t mean they were able to figure out that Steve was the lead singer of Måneskin and that they really were basically treating him like a glorified servant.

For those curious and wondering,

THE LONELIEST was Steve’s way of officially closing that chapter of his life and saying his final goodbye to the one he thought he would spend his life with.

Warning: This post will contain spoilers about AC Valhalla, Origins and somewhat Mirage so don't read if you are currently playing or are planning to!

I went absolutely mad with a conspiracy theory I made up from scratch I could get left and right while playing Valhalla and Origins. I was so convinced I could be right and, looking back, it really just looked like I needed to be locked up for good... 😅

So I played Valhalla and met this little guy Reda and thought he was real nice and funny.

And then I played Origins and who do I meet? Reda! In the flesh!

And he doesn't seem a day older (or younger) than in Valhalla so my thinking is

There is two options: either both games take place in a relatively close timeline or

Reda is a god (which could be confirmed by the fact that he was literally in Valhalla with Odin but anyway...)

So, like any sane person would do, I assumed that it was the first choice (unknowing that Reda would be speaking with Odin later on in the game)

Starting from there, I only saw connections.

Bayek's son was killed and Basim told Eivor that his son was killed by someone he trusted (I didn't know yet if Bayek trusted the killer as I had not finished the game yet)

While playing Bayek, we can go around Alexandria and Basim said to Eivor that he grew up near Alexandria

Both are members of the Hidden Ones, not Assassins

Coincidence? I think not! (I feel like there were more but it was some time ago so I somewhat forgot...)

I know they don't have the same name but I simply thought that Basim must have changed it from Bayek at some point in between the two games...

Boy was I wrong!

Turns out it wasn't Basim talking about losing his son to his mentor but Loki losing Fenrir to Odin.

And Bayek didn't know the guy who killed his son.

I was so out there, it's crazy 😅

Also, because of that wild theory, my panic induced brain sometime calls Basim "Bayek" when I'm in a thight spot...
