OK everyone shut up I just had an idea

So you know @saraiisstanky ‘Nico di Angelo is a son of Aphrodite not Hades’ au. Yeah well I just had a thought that but with Persephone. For those of you who somehow I don’t know Persephone is Hades wife in greek mythology. So imagine Nico and Bianca are children of Persephone instead. Bianca being the more spring and nature part of her. And Nico the more queen of the underworld part of Persephone. So he still has all the summoning the dead and shadow travel stuff(also in no small part thanks to Hades liking his step-son).

And Nico is in the Hades cabin because there’s no Persephone cabin(and taking from the canon Hades wants his life to be easy)

I just thought it would be fun. Just the small idea that when Nico is excited flowers start sprouting and other small things, and everyone just thinks oh because Persephone is his STEP-MOM and likes him not the other way around for Hades and Persephone

Unless proven otherwise, Caleb initially did win that knife fight against Philip, but couldn’t bring himself to finish him, despite everything this is still his little brother. Philip then proceeded to knife his brother to death the second his back was turned, even though Caleb just showed him mercy.

Apollo Kid Headcanons!

So I'm writing a series named The Sacred Blades in which multi-mythology demigods/supernatural beings exist (the main character is a daughter of Apollo and fire mage) and I go on Tumblr often to look at (and associate with) Apollo Kid Headcanons (I'm part of the pjo fandom and I am a proud af Apollospawn through and through!!!). I have made quite a few of own headcanons of my own which I don't mind sharing! Enjoy!!! And feel free to add your own! (Pls add some! I'm pretty sure I've exhausted every single Apollo kid headcanon and I want more but I can't find any that I haven't already seen, so I'd be happy to have some new content lol. It's also kinda why I'm sharing my own headcanons)

Every single Child of Apollo has traits or supernatural abilities that are associated with one of Apollo's kinetic domains. This can be as diluted as 1 subpower from one domain and no other abilities (noise sensitivity, or Truth Sense, etc) or they can have Multi-Domain Control (MDC) over some/most aspects of any domains and kinetic abilities.

Most of us Apollo kids fall in the middle/mid-high end of the Demigod Power Spectrum (DPS). All kids are still accepted by our Cabin and loved regardless of their abilities:

Apollo's domains are:

Music, Hunting, Truth, Medicine, The Future, Reason, Civilization, Light, Logic, Purification, The Sun, Law, Order, Justice, Male beauty, Intelligence, Plague, Healing, Health, Disease, Prophecies, Archery, Poetry, Oracles, The Youth, Young Boys, Protector of Young Boys & Men, Arts, Animals, Herds and Flocks (I don't have a record of anymore so please add if you know any others)

I used to spend hours Googling all of Apollo's domains because I wanted to be inclusive of absolutely every little thing that my dad has control over

Arts include the following three categories that Ik of:

  - performance arts (eg: music, dancing)

  - literary arts (eg: poetry, singwriting, storywriting)

  - visual arts (eg: painting, sketching)

Kinetic Abilities for any of Apollo's Descendants are as follows:

Animal - zookinesis (he and Artemis and hunting gods with sacred animals that are hunters [wolves] or hunted [deer]) (imagine being stuck somewhere and using your Animal Manipulation powers to communicate with animals and get them to help. :) - although I imagine tigers would go straight for the meat, since they're Sacred to Zephyrus. How does the Sacred thing even work? Is it that any animal Sacred to a god(dess) will listen to them over anyone else? Do they do the god(dess)'s bidding in killing kids of other god(desse)s that the animal's Lord/Lady has beef with? If only Greek god(desse)s existed. I'd ask Dad all these questions I have about their culture)

Arts - artemokinesis (God of arts - performance, literary, visual- you name it) (art attacks. Draw something or point at some picture/painting, sketching and it literally comes to life. And the Apollospawn conjurer is the only one this Real Live Drawing listens to. Being able to take visual or literal art literally out of pages, etc - a bit like Clary from Shadowhunters [she's totally a child of Apollo too]

Health - vitakinesis (fucking up someone's health but also being able to fix it up at the same time)

Disease - virokinesis (Apollo is the god of disease, plagues, etc) I feel like lots of people forget this. I also wasn't able to find many headcanons about this power, so this is definitely something that will be included in my aforementioned book series on Wattpad

Sun - heliokinesis (Helios kids obviously have it to a higher power degree but it would be pretty damn powerful even for Apollo Kids) I'm thinking they get energy from the sun the way Percy got energy from the water sources. They can probably chanel this energy for pretty much anything: shields, making constructs that are tangible to Apollo/sun god(dess) kids only - or maybe tangible to the demigods of deities who have control over light, fire, heat, the sun, etc.

I also think they'd get like firebending powers during daytime, bc the sun is literally a ball of fiery of gas and plasma

Heat - thermokinesis (kinda self-explanatory. This can also be used by Apollo kids who have no/little Truth Sense, to determine if someone is lying by picking up on the heat signatures in bodies. When people lie, generally speaking, the heart beats faster, pumping more blood around the body, which I imagine has a slight raise in body temp. The REALLY powerful kids (in terms of thermoK) would be able to pick this up, most likely.)

Fire - pyrokinesis (due to sun powers. I think they draw power from the sun, like the concept in Avatar about firebenders rising with the sun)

Plasma - plasmokinesis (the sun is made of hot gas and plasma) (also see below for electrokinesis)

Light - photokinesis - seriously look up Light Manipulation. I get my info from superpowers wiki. There's so MUCH that Rick could've done if he had just ONE child of Apollo with photokinesis (more on this later, on another post hopefully I will put up within the week [hopefully] bc it's too much for me to add into this post, not to mention slightly irrelevant - I WILL elaborate on the rest of the powers I'm listing here too, going into much more depth in future posts)

Laser - léizerkinesis (falls under light manipulation) (I'm thinking of Iron Man's laser beams or Superman's laser eyes. Imagine either of them in a fight with a child of Apollo who has abilities that cross over ALL if not MOST of Apollo's domains. That'd be sick as fuck!)

Electricity - electrokinesis (I feel like this might be a rare af ability but a few of my siblings may have this ability. Most likely in the form of plasma as that makes sense, given the sun's plasmatic state) idc if plasmatic isnt a word - it is now.

Colour - chromakinesis (falls under light manipulation) imagine an Apollispawn being able to change their own eye colour, or skin colour to blend in (camouflage on secret missions). They're literally chameleons!)

Star - asterokinesis (the sun is a star) (this power alone is so dam potent and destructive as fuck and its terrifyingly amazing!!!!!!) (Srsly look it up! You will NOT regret it if you're as nerd and invested into this as me lol) (you don't have to look it up. I WILL elaborate on this in a separate post)

Intelligence - noimosýnikinesis (god of intelligence) (imagine being able to alter someone else's intelligence, or absorb it. Or do literally anything with it! You could even take away the intelligence they have in a certain topic (a bit like a memory spell)

Knowledge - scientiakinesis (see above)

Literature - bibliokinesis (imagine being able to write poetry or anything really that can LITERALLY attack your opponents. A description about a 3 headed hydra, with one head breathing poisonous gas, one head breathing fire and another head breathing ice transforms into an ACTUAL hydra of that caliber - the Apollospawn to conjure this up would be their master. Imagine having a pet hydra. Fucking rad! I'm sure Dad coined the phrase "the pen is mightier than the sword". In this case, LITERALLY.) I think maybe this particular one may work out as writing a description about something (the hydra from above) and having the physical form of the hydra made out of words.

[If you couldn’t already tell by my tone, I'm EXCITED AS HELL for elaboration on all of these, some more than others]

Dance - saltatokinesis (is a form of art) (dancing your opponent to death sounds fun. Who's in? "Dance-off bro. You and me." Anyone? Or even cursing them to dance while you do your shit and go with them still dancing.) The Nyan Cat Song was Hell for me. I'd totally curse someone to do this.

Music - symphokinesis (imagine someone you don't like and you're in class/a room, somewhere with them. This person is plugging into music which you can hear bc kid of Apollo superhearing. Or even better: you don't hear their music but you know they have it on. There's a song they hate and they're not nice to you (at all) so the obvious thing to do is fuck up their music and absolutely obliterate their happiness. Even if you're just getting even for one simple thing (they pushed you or called your friend names, laughed at someone's attempt to try something new, ANYTHING)

Sound - audiokinesis (linked to being the god of music) (glass shattering screams. Singing so high pitched that glass breaks is an Indiana Jones thing. Also an Apollokid thing)

Bow - tóxokinesis (forming bows is rad as fuck, idc what anyone says) (also totally an Apollo Kid Thing.) (Photokinetic bows and arrows is what MC in my aforementioned story does. Also makes a light saber bc of her other ferrokinetic abilities and light manipulation powers. She'd be more powerful that Percy, technically, and that's just counting her Apollp powers, so I'm really unhappy that Rick downplayed Apollo kids!!!! (He wanted his MC to look more cool so he did my siblings dirty)

Honesty Manipulation (kinda scary tbh) Evil Apollokids could be successful gaslighters.

Transparency (Clarity) Manipulation (not sure what to put here tbh. A little help?)

Precognition Manipulation (foreshadowing your own future.) (I once wrote a poem when I was around 8 or smth about a poor animal which was neither here nor there - not male or female, not a cat or a dog but it was there and it existed - who lived in a family and all it really wanted was to feel loved and worth something, to feel cared for and to feel like it belonged. My family got v concerned when they read it - on the family tablet - and they deleted it bc they got worried etc. They probs thought I felt unloved, worthless and neglected. But I am now, at 20 yrs, the literal embodiment of what that animal was back then, 12 yrs ago when I made that animal come to life via a poem. I redid this poem, so it's Itshee 2.0 but the Original is gone 😪 Kinda scary tho foreshadowing ur own future. But think of all the other cool things you could do with this) (will be explored in a different post)

Harmony (Order) Manipulation (imagine being able to create complete and utter chaos or force everyone into your idea of harmony just by will alone. I don't know how they'd use this power in a good way. I'll figure it out though)

Hunting Manipulation (maybe this could include setting hunting animals on those hunting you? As in an evil demigod hunting you. Like Artemis and the guy she turned into an animal to get torn to shreds by his own hounds, except in this instance, it's the animal's will/attention that has been bended) (would this work with hellhounds? Bc they're part hound, which is dog and dogs are descendants of wolves who have been domesticated for over hundreds of years)

Creativity Manipulation (see art, music and dance manipulation). Also maybe they're able to change one kinetic form into another bc of this streak? So turning photoK energy into plasmaK energy or pyroK energy just by willing it or maybe the assistance of magic spells?

Serenity Manipulation (idk where to go with this. Any ideas?)

Medicine Manipulation (imagine being able to manipulate effects if medicine after someone has already taken them - I'm thinking with the destructive mindset) (nullify the effects of painkillers, double up the effects of other medicines, maybe with incantation or spells, etc.) Fucking terrifying.
