This Is Another Of My Older Mask Designs, But Again One That I Like A Lot. The Slashing Diagonal Slits

This is another of my older mask designs, but again one that I like a lot. The slashing diagonal slits over the eyes work like shutter shades, so you can see through them pretty easily, but they obscure your eyes from view. I think of it as a subtly sinister design that would fit in reasonably with goth/punk or fetish outfits. I'd expect to see this mask worn by a villain, not a hero.
This mask takes a bit longer to form than others of the simple masks I make. Getting the little bars that go over the eyes to bulge outwards evenly takes some care. But I think the effect is worth it.
This mask could be yours!

Update of the anodized titanium dragon tail with metal spikes installed down the spine. You can see in the close-ups how irregular and varied the titanium scales are, which I really enjoy. This was for a commissioner, but I'm very much considering a similar one for myself.
Not as many photos of it this time as the previous set, because it was getting dark.

Prototyping in paper with scissors and tape. Then I transferred that into a CAD program, cut it out of leather, and stained it. Next comes sewing everything together.

I had a table at a craft fair called stART at the Station in Worcester MA on Sunday. It was highly successful. Here is my table setup, with my boyfriend sitting behind. He helped with getting there and manning the table, and I would not have made it without the help.

This tail has a lot of stuff going on. It used 6 different types and sizes of metal claw spike down the spine, with a big increase and decrease in size towards the middle. It also has a diamond-shaped spade tip that attaches to the tip, made of leather and painted gold.

This dragon tail commission was pretty straightforward compared to others I've done recently. It's made of anodized aluminum, primarily green, with an underbelly of brown and a single line of brown down the spine. As always, the scales are linked together with stainless steel rings in a chainmail pattern. This one is 30 inches long, slightly smaller than my default length. Good for someone who's a bit shorter than I.
I had a lot of fun getting photos of it swinging around.
Daylight Savings Time meant that it was dark by the time I was able to get photos taken, but oh well. I'll be shipping this out to the commissioner tomorrow.
