I've Been Working On This Scale Maille Shirt Commission For A While, And It's Finally Starting To Look

I've been working on this scale maille shirt commission for a while, and it's finally starting to look like something. When finished it'll be about mid-thigh length. Currently I've got it closing in the front with a few clasps, but I'm likely to adjust it so it clasps on the side where it's less visible.
This is the largest commission I've made so far, and I'm excited about it. I made a scale shirt for myself way back in 2008, and I'm happy that someone finally ordered one.

I made a simple mask for people who wear glasses. Finally! I was worried that the horizontal pieces below the eyes wouldn't work out, but it turns out that they're totally cool and seem to conform to the shape of different people's faces pretty well!
I'm super excited. This one wasn't even laser-cut, I just cut it carefully by hand late at night to see if it would work. But I did draw up the design in CAD, and next time I'm in the laser shop I'm making like 5 of these.
Anyway, I'm so excited about this that I just had to put it up on Etsy already. I'll get fresh photos up pretty soon. If someone buys it quickly, they'll get a fresh, non-hand-cut-late-at-night one. Here it is!

This is a scale harness that I'll be bringing to Nauticon in a couple weeks.
Nauticon is a convention that I'm excited to be selling things at. And if I don't come back from it with entertaining stories, something will be very wrong. It is a 3-day long, 21-plus, viking themed fandom convention in P-Town. (For people not from the Boston area, Provincetown is a very gay resort town at the tip of Cape Cod.) I expect it to be glorious. If you're free May 2-4, I heartily encourage you to attend.
I have a couple more harnesses that I'll probably be posting pictures of in the next couple days. Once the convention is over I'll probably put them up for order on my Etsy page. (I'm waiting because if I posted them now and they sold immediately, I would really want to remake them before the convention.)

Just a quick photo of armor pieces I realized I hadn't posted. It's 3 different types of bracers I prepared for the convention I was vending at a couple weekends ago. The dragon-scaled one in the middle is a design that I originally did some time ago, but made a fresh copy of for the convention, which sold pretty promptly. The one on the right was a plain one that I did as a quick test of buckling these on instead of lacing them. And the one on the left was a new design that I'm currently referring to as dragon-rider bracers.

Just showing off a new color that I found. I've been using some interference acrylic paints to get an iridescent sort of color on certain pieces. (The paint is made with tiny flecks of mica in it.) I have a green and a blue version of it, and they work nicely painted over black. (I primarily use it on the bubble-wave cuff I make, because I think of it as an oceanic sort of design.)
I've not been super excited about the paint when used over blue or green, though. But last time I was making a big pile of bracelets for a craft fair I decided to try the interference blue over purple. And it was fantastic.
So I'm going to start offering this as a standard color. Iridescent purple.

Aaaaalllmost done with this scale shirt commission. I successfully moved the closure so that it angles down from the neck to the armpit, then goes straight down the side where it's not very visible. Getting that diagonal overlap to look reasonable was tricky, but I'm happy with how it ended up.
All that's left is to reinforce the neck edge, trim the bottom edge, add in a slit on the left side, and check the fit on the person it's for. (Luckily they're almost exactly my size, so I don't expect to have to adjust it too hard.)
