You were definitely getting punished tonight.

You put on the mask, the finishing touch. There was a ball tonight and you wanted to go, but Reiji had told you that you wouldn’t be going.

You, of course, didn’t listen.

You looked yourself over one last time in front of the mirror. You knew Reiji wouldn’t miss you, of course he’d be able to see you from the dress you were wearing. He’d seen it and it was perfectly matching his suit.

You left no hesitation as you walked out the door.

You wondered if he’d use the cat or the crop whip considering he strictly told you not to go.

He brought out the best in you.

You made it out and saw Subaru walking out of his room. He merely glanced at you before continuing his way to the ballroom.

You continued your way until you and Subaru had made it. He walked into the crowd easily and you took in the view.

Ladies and gentlemen all perfectly dressed and with elegant masks to cover themselves from recognition. The beautiful lights of the ballroom lit beautiful from every corner of the room. The open top conveying the moon in it’s highlight of beauty.

You slightly looked around as you managed to recognize blond hair and blue eyes from beyond the mask. Shu simply walked past the ladies trying to gather his attention, completely ignoring them as he made his way across the ballroom.

“What are you doing here, Little Bitch?” a familiar voice whispered beside your ear.

You looked back to see Laito. “I came because I wanted to see it.”

Laito played a mischievous smile on his lips. “I thought Reiji had told you to not come? Disobeying him I see,” he said flirtatiously as always.

You slightly rolled your eyes. “He did say I wouldn’t be allowed to come.”

“And you did so anyway. What a naughty, Little Bitch.” Laito smirked, his hand meeting your shoulder. “How about I become your escort?”

You immediately shook your head. “No, Laito—”

“Oh come on, you’ve made it this far.” Laito took your arm in his before leading you both into the crowd. “The fun is just beginning anyway.”

You swallowed.

You knew you’d get punished but a sudden chill washed down your spine, your confidence slowly melting away.

Laito continued leading you before a certain purple haired male stopped you both short. “Shouldn’t you be upstairs? Or have you finally decided to give everything to Reiji?” Kanato said, hugging his Teddy closer to him.

“She’s rebelling, the exact opposite,” Laito explained. “I’m her escort,” Laito told his brother.

Kanato slightly tilted his head. “Reiji won’t be happy about that.” Kanato’s eyes moved behind you.

“You’re absolutely correct,” a stern voice spoke. “I won’t and I’m not.”

A chill ran down your spine, your confidence washing away quicker than when you walked out the door earlier.

Laito let your hand go, waving you goodbye with a cheery and knowing smile before walking away. Kanato followed close behind.

You turned around slowly, meeting deep red eyes. His eyes burned into yours as you tried coming up with an excuse.

“You didn’t listen to me.”

No, you didn’t, but you didn’t regret it.

He looked perfect.

“Sorry,” you spoke. “I really wanted to see it,” you explained.

Reiji took a small breath before taking your arm. “Don’t leave my side. And if I ever see you locked arms or hands with any of my brothers ever again don’t expect anything good for days.” Reiji led you to a further end of the ballroom.

You only nodded as he guided you. You slightly held onto his arm, something feeling off as the clock on the wall clicked and ticked, moments from midnight. You looked around, a few people looking toward the clock every once in a while. Their eyes made it back to their partners hungrily, almost like a predator hunting its prey.

You furrowed your brows.

None of this felt right.

“Reiji,” you began.

“Quiet, just stay close and—” Reiji cut himself short as the clock on the wall hit midnight. “Don’t look.” Reiji faced you, holding you in his arms. “How repulsive,” he lowly whispered in your ear.

Your view was blocked, only Reiji’s words in your mind as he held you.

You heard a scream, immediately making you hyper aware. Another scream was heard, and then another, and more after that.

You decided to listen to Reiji, keeping your eyes on his chest. The screams of horror filling your ears as the sound of bodies dropping to the floor made your head jump up. You looked out into the ballroom, people screaming as vampires drank from their necks.

Your eyes widened as you slightly backed up, unintentionally moving from Reiji’s hold. Your eyes met his as a fiery look in his eyes made you halt.

Reiji neared you once again, a chilling fear consuming your thoughts. You took another step back and Reiji stopped in his tracks.

“What are you doing?” he asked you, now frustrated and more irritated than before. He reached a hand out for you but something in your head told you to back away as your heart tried to help you gather some sense about the man before you.

This was Reiji, he wouldn’t dare drink from you in front of others when he strictly lectured others on doing it. You tried calming yourself as you suddenly felt eyes on you, eyes that weren’t Reiji’s.

You looked to the side as a man with a sharing smile dropped the woman in his arms. He slowly began walking to you, the blood of the dead woman dripping down his chin.

A hand grabbed your wrist, making you yelp. Reiji glared at the man, signaling for him to stay away from you.

You eased slightly at Reiji’s touch.

“I told you to stay close. What? Did you think I’d drink you dry in front of all these people?” Reiji looked at you. “You must have hit your head, quite a repulsive thing to do in a room full of people.” He narrowed your eyes at you.

You looked down. What were you thinking? The thought crossed your mind and you still backed away from him, avoiding the only touch that actually managed to ease you.

“I’m sorry, Reiji.” You really were.

“Such a handful.” Reiji played an evil look as he stared at you. “I hope you’re prepared for what will come when we go back upstairs.” He smirked.

Fine I go you big meanie I hope that I could find some else that loves me like Lord Sesshomaru or Ken Kaneki ...can I leave this mansion?
