what I got from the newest crk trailer
lord the peasants are so loud today

Part 1 of big "how to chibi-fy this flower????" guide is here!!! 🥰

So I kinda want to discuss the Crunchy Dreams Version of the White Pearl story as... I've been seeing people say its different than what really happened, but really I don't think the differences lie where people think they do.
According to the bedtime story Oyster was told as a girl, the mermaid found the cookie dying of thirst and hunger on a shore. She approached, despite being warned not to, and fell in love instantly. She thereafter offered her pearl to them as a sign of attachment.
The two big differences that jump out are a. this beach was not where the two of them met and b. Lord Oyster didn't find himself shipwrecked after setting off on his own. But the reasons for giving the pearl remain the same.
... and in fact this version of meeting Pearl makes Lord Oyster look /better/. The idea they instantly fell in love, rather than what really happened (he met her while she was a a hostage on a ship he was on) removes the baggage of their meeting.
It also frames her as falling for him first when he was intrigued by her before she ever returned feelings; looking at her and asking for stories long before he began trying to help her escape.
Any way I look at this, the current changes to their narrative serve to in fact make the story she was told as a child more palatable rather than serve to make the audience think he was an asshole than he was in reality.
