CRINGETOBER DAY 1: SCREENSHOT REDRAW

IT'S CRINGETOBER TIME AGAIN BABY!!!

at some point i want to redraw one frame from every steven universe episode, but that is INCREDIBLY ambitious and not today's project lol. a fun side effect of that is that i have a ton of steven universe screenshots, so i redrew that one Really Famous Shot from ocean gem!

i was going to wait until the end of the season to post my artfight attacks but i think this one deserves to be posted now.

hoo boy, this attack was a doozy. i've actually attempted doing it for the last three seasons straight, but i could never manage to finish it by the time artfight ended. this year, i decided to scrap my old version of the piece and just start completely fresh - and ended up putting roughly 36 HOURS into it. suffice to say this is probably the most insane attack i've ever done (and probably will ever do for a while lmao…) but it's real!!

and for those curious, the alternian text on the status bars read (from top to bottom) "brains/brawn/health"!

They are already selling data to midjourney, and it's very likely your work is already being used to train their models because you have to OPT OUT of this, not opt in. Very scummy of them to roll this out unannounced.

hoo boy this was a doozy. a silly sketch of wanting to draw something easy and mindless turned into a non-literal self-portrait of sorts with me trying to incorporate specific aspects of things i enjoy drawing and directions i want my style to go into one piece with SIX DAYS worth of lineart and three days of colouring to stand behind it. i think i created something i can be proud of, though.

did not expect to go as hard on this as i did, but here we are! i rarely draw this kind of thing but it is kinda fun to be a bit raw and full of emotion with it.

going real hard with the cringe today!! i had no clue what to do for this but then i spent way too many hours in my survival world again and was like "hey wasn't there a minecraft creepypasta that i used to believe was real when i was like 10. i should do th-" and so i did that

wow i ended up putting in a lot more effort for this than i thought i would. while celeste isn't exactly "niche" per se, most people definitely do not put damn near a thousand hours into it and listen to the soundtrack on a regular basis so i'd count it regardless.

i've been rewatching gravity falls lately so it felt right. i would've had this done like two days ago but alas, i can't not go insane on the anti-aliasing aaaa

how do i even begin to explain this basically for sexytwt week a couple years ago i asked one of my friends to give me a pair of tumblr sexymen with no context for what i was going to do with them. he gave me these. it was for that challenge's crossover ship day. and through that, this godforsaken image was born. and keeping in the spirit, i'm fucking doing it again!

going hard on the homestuck again! struggled in the idea department for this a little bit and then i was just like "oh. wait. i can do nepeta" and it was pretty straightforward from there

being the filthy homestuck that i am, it makes perfect sense to draw Ms. Paint for today haha. still fighting with the colours but not much i can do with a lack of layers (and ability to colour-correct them).

overly complicated designs are very much not my jam but i tried to incorporate as many character design no-no's as i could. the colours were fun :D
