Comic by Mariam Naiem
I like to spend time with friends one-on-one. But lately there are three of us. [The silhouettes of the speaker and friend in each scene, except for the first, are always accompanied by a large humanoid shadow looming over them and listening in.] --- "In case something happens, finish my book, okay?" [my friend asked of me as we sat together] "Ok," [I said while the shadowy specter sat next to my friend.] --- "I don't have any plans for afterwards," [my friend in the military said as the specter stood behind them and we looked to the horizon.] --- "How are you?" [I asked as we knelt on either side of the flowers.] "Good! I went to the cemetery and laid an equal amount of flowers to all three of them." [The specter knelt behind my friend.] --- "I don't see my life after the war," [my friend in the military told me from across the table. The specter loomed over them and reached to touch them.] --- "I am sick of this! WHO ARE YOU? We didn't invite you," [I said, confronting the specter. It towered over me.] --- "Yes, you did not," [it acknowledged, revealing a scythe in its grasp and presenting a slip of paper to me.] --- 24.02.2022 INVITATION from Russia.
Text in brackets were added by me for accessibility purposes to help transcribe and describe the comic.

Hey fandom goers, we have the tools to prevent uncredited art. It's genuinely wild to me how many fandom people seem to be unaware of Google Lens Image search. I hate Google and AI as much as the next person but it is legitimately a fantastic very easily accessible reverse image search function. You can deep fry your image and it will still find the original. If you use art off of Pinterest etc, please PLEASE just put it into Google, find the original author in 2 clicks and credit them. And if you CAN'T find the artist (eg if they've taken the original down) maybe don't use their artwork
(And yes, You can use Google Lens on mobile too!!!)

Presenting Pearlescentmoon in Crimean Tatar national costume and with their flag!
Crimea is a peninsula in Eastern Europe, on the northern coast of the Black Sea, almost entirely surrounded by the Black Sea and the smaller Sea of Azov.

After Ukrainian independence in 1991, the central government and the Republic of Crimea clashed, with the region being granted more autonomy. In 2014, the peninsula was occupied by Russian forces and annexed by Russia, but most countries recognise Crimea as Ukrainian territory.
Throughout history, Crimean Tatars suffered from Russia, one of the largest tragedies being Deportation of Crimean Tatars 1944, when the majority of Crimean population were forecully deported from their homeland to the Uzbek SSR.
Crimean Tatar singer Jamala told the world about it in Eurovision 2016, two years after Russia occupied Crimea once again, with the song named "1944". (watch her performance here)
Crimean Tatar language is on the verge of being forgotten, and less people know about Crimean Tatars even existing, so please, educate yourself, tell others about it, share, talk, don't let all the people who fought agains their opressors die for nothing.

"Грудень" (hruden') - December Comes from the word “груда”(hruda),which means “lump” A reference to the way snow falls to the ground.
"Січень" (sichen') - January The word “сікти”(sikty) means to cut [down] People cut a lot of trees to prepare for the cold, and to prepare land for the new fields to grow crops on.
"Лютий" (lyutyi) - February “Лютий”(lyutyi) means “fierce” or “savage” This month is extremely cold, full of blizzards and storms.

Before it was razed to the ground by russians, Bakhmut was famous for its roses.

"Дати гарбуза" (daty harbuza) - "To give a pumpkin"
In older times, when somebody would want to decline a proposal, they would give the person who proposed a pumpkin, as a way to say “no”. Today, Ukrainians use this phrase metaphorically, to signify any rejection in general.

This young artist did the same things i do - create art, share it with the world
But still russia decided that it's okay to kill people. And still westerns on the internet tolerate russians and their art, because "it's just art" or "what can they do about their government?"
Actually, they can do a lot. But what can a person do when a missile strikes exactly at them?
I hate hypocrisy of western world. Genocide is genocide and the only thing you CAN DO is support the victims - trust the victims!!!!!
So try to listen once in your goddamn life to people who really saw what russia did. To people who see it every day. Listen, learn AND BAN RUSSIA and their art
OK Tumblr Geriatric Ward, let’s talk about your posture-

there are things you should be doing now to prevent yourself from starting to look like 🥀
Why does it matter? Future you would like to avoid the pain, limited motion, and fall risk that goes along with worsening posture.
What’s the focus?
1. Keep the flexibility in your spine
2. Stretch the muscles in the front
3. Strengthen the muscle in the back
Here are some simple things you can do daily while sitting and when you get up to go into the bathroom or the kitchen
Keep the flexibility by doing these repeated movements: 10 repetitions several times a day

The goal is to give yourself a double or triple chin. Keep your nose pointing forward, don’t let it tip up or down

Thoracic extension- use a chair with a seat back that comes up to the level of your shoulder blades. Try to bend back over the top of the chair without arching away from the seat back and without extending your neck. If the pressure from the top of the chair is uncomfortable you can place a towel there
Stretch the muscles in the front by using a door frame. This one will feel good afterwards

If this isn’t enough of a stretch you can do one side at a time. If you have the right arm up step forward with the right foot and turn slightly to the left. Then do it on the other side.

Strengthen the muscles in the back by squeezing your shoulder blades together for a count of 10 and then repeating 10 times. You can do this several times a day Hint: Don’t lift your shoulder blades up

There are lots more exercises for strengthening your back muscles but this is a good starting point and easy to do. I like doing it while driving
Tips:
Do the best you can
If it hurts stop
Envision future you saying thank you each time you do one of the exercises

Вересень (veresen') - September “Верес”(veres) means “heather”. Heather is a honey plant, which usually begins to bloom in the start of this month.
Жовтень (zhovten') - October “Жовтий”(zhovtyy) is a color yellow. The name of the month comes from the color the leaves turn in autumn.
Листопад (lystopad) - November Combination of two words: “листя”(lystya) - leaves, and “падати”(padaty) -to fall. Literally means “leaf-fall”. This is the last month of autumn, which means most of the leaves would be falling off the trees around this time.

Yesterday, russians attacked with missiles a children's cafe in Malokaterinivka, Zaporizhzhia region. A 14 years old boy died, six children are in the hospital, two of them are in serious condition.
Remember who the terrorist is.
The second ‘good russians’ were freed from prison in russia as a part of the exchange, they started talking about removal of sanctions.
A good russian = a dead russian
Slava Ukraini!
Imagine that the neighboring country ruined all your plans and turned your youth into a fight for freedom? Ukraine's young people don't need to imagine.
The full scale invasion has put the lives of Ukrainians on hold for 900+ days. Every day they show heroism and fortitude. Against all odds, they are still here.
Glory to Ukraine. Glory to the Heroes.

Today is the Day of Remembrance of the Defenders of Ukraine. I don't know how to put into words how thankful I am for every single Ukrainian defender. Someone on twitter said something like "I miss the beginning of full-scale invasion, there was much more fear in us, but at least a lot of people were still alive".
in like 5-8 years when gen alpha starts really making fun of gen z no one is allowed to complain because like 99% of people do nothing but treat those kids like shit
If you want to support Ukrainians, DO NOT donate to Red Cross. Can't speak about their work in other countries, but they're useless in Ukraine. The only trustworthy international organisation I can think of is World Central Kitchen.
Donate to World Central Kitchen

And it's even better to donate directly to Ukrainian organisations. Here are a few good legit places:
hospitallers.life - "Hospitallers", Ukrainian paramedics on the frontlines
savelife.in.ua - "Come Back Alive", assistance to the army
prytulafoundation.org - "Prytula Foundation", assistance to the army, humanitarian causes
starenki.com.ua - "Starenki", helping elderly people
everybodycan.com.ua - "Everybody Can", helping disabled children, elders and hospitals
uanimals.org - "UAnimals", saving animals
