sometimes, just sometimes, you tend to forget that jungkook’s actually a bunny. he may be a grown boy, almost half a head taller than you (or a head taller, let’s all be honest for a second), broad shoulders and crystal eyes but in reality, when he’s feeling like he wants to shape shift, there comes this white, fluffy bunny that just pokes his ears on you and brushes his pure white fur over your skin to simmer your anger down.

jungkook takes full advantage of that whenever you’re pissed.

he had done fucked up again, that’s a given. either he ‘accidentally’ bit off an important piece of paper or he knocked over his cage again. whichever, you’re fuming with fire, steam escaping your ears, roars of rage flushing through the whole apartment that he feels like he’s about to get burnt in milliseconds.

jungkook completely ruined the proposal given to you merely days ago for your business agreement and it’s going to take days before the new one arrives. jungkook still doesn’t know, or rather, he looks like he doesn’t know what’s wrong but you know, somehow, he does. when you slam the door to your bedroom shut, you hear a thud against it. then you hear light scratches that causes you to huff, folding your arms as you shout at the wooden barrier, “piss off, jungkook! i don’t want to talk to you right now,”

you hear a mere whine and you clench your eyes shut, hoping your anger could take over completely and you’d ignore it but when you hear light paws tapping against the door, you groan and get up. with two long strides, you reach the door but just as you’re about to open it, the sounds stop. automatically, you’re confused, as to how it grows silent but then the door creaks open itself.

he’s dressed in a white sweater, black slacks and his hair is mused because whenever he shifts back to human form, his hair goes out of place but it’s just… nice. jungkook frowns at you, pulling off his best puppy (despite being a rabbit) eyes and his ears twitch slightly past his black locks.

huffing, you cross your arms and look up to him, “what do you want?”

you watch as his ears twitch and he mewls, before leaning forward to rest his head in your shoulder, his long arms coming around your waist before he murmurs, “’m sorry… i… i shouldn’t have done that…”

“so you know what you were doing?” you sound appalled, but you’re willing to listen. jungkook nods, his ears tickling your skin but you don’t react to it. instead, he tightens his hold on you, lips pressed to your neck, “i was scared…”

heaving a sigh, you finally put your arms around his larger frame, keeping him close as you whisper, “What are you afraid of?”

“that you’ll leave me for him,” he mutters after much reluctance and you exhale heavily, tugging him back so you could frame his cheeks. past his dark orbs of warmth, there’s insecurities swimming within and you rub over his cheeks before one of your hands thread through his hair. when reaching his ears, you give him a light scratch and he whimpers but doesn’t move, relaxing in your grip as you say, “it was a business deal, jungkook-ah. i’m not going anywhere,”

“promise?” he breathes, pressing his forehead to yours, his ears leaning in to your touch as you brush over them, “promise.”

Nineteen years old and still not the slightest hint of a soulmate. Nothing. No tattoo. No timer. No red string of fate tying your pinkie finger to a stranger somewhere on the globe. You were trying to be patient, but that was harder said than done. All of your college friends were slowly but surely matching up with the person meant to spend a forever with them, and you were just…waiting in the wings.

It was great to be able to focus on school, you supposed, trying to look on the bright side of things. But that was getting harder and harder as the seasons turned from fall to winter and once again, you were left without someone to shelter you from the cold.

Days passed. You buried yourself in your studies, finding a spot in the library. This close to finals, the library was open basically all night, and you were taking advantage of it, sitting at a table by the window so you could watch the snow drift by. It was nearing midnight, but you were wide awake thanks to the help of the coffee in the mug to your right.

You twirled a white earbud around your finger, scribbling some doodles on the page in your notebook. Your brain was fried by this point, but you tried to focus on your textbook…

Maybe it was the caffeine. Maybe it was the fact that you had been up for almost twenty-four hours.

“Hello?” You called. This place was strange. Everything had a sort of misty haze, and the sky seemed too bright. It made you dizzy if you thought about it too hard.

And then he turned around and everything felt right. His warm brown eyes, a soft confident smirk and a voice as deep as the ocean. You knew. You just…knew after looking at him for one second that this was the moment that would define the rest of your life.

‘’I’m going to punch you.’’ I warn.

‘’Ah that’s not a nice thing for you to say. Especially to your favorite boyfriend.’’ He coos only raising my temper as I glance above the paragraph I’ve been reading for the past 2 minutes over and over again since Yoongi decided he wanted to pester me. And the fact that he came from his studio which he barricaded himself into last night says a lot. Even more that he is pestering me in the first place and playing innocent.

‘’Kindly buzz off.’’ my frown deepens as I raise my hands up, to block my surroundings by placing my hands over the sides of my face. In return I get a heavy sigh, and additional weight being pressed over my back. Glancing to my right, he’s basically half lying over me still sitting in his own chair while I sit on my own behind the dining table I’ve settled myself at. It was quiet up until a few minutes ago as he was away in his own world so the apartment was peaceful. Perfect condition to study in, unlike most of the time where I have to block the enthusiastic talking and sometimes even shouting from my other boyfriend who spends his free time playing games.
