ok but i'm curious tho... almost everyone in death valley tells oc that they won't let anyone hurt her but it just ends up being words so,,, is there actually someone who means that or are they all just saying that..yk🤔

id say only two of the characters are genuinely in love with oc

those same two are also the only ones who’ve gotten like very worried or upset when hearing that oc is in danger, and then also did something (or tried to) about it with the intent of getting her out of harms way

one character thinks he is trying to protect her but really he’s got more selfish intentions in doing that. this character has also directly threatened to hurt her / has hurt her physically

but yea, the rest of them are just using the idea of keeping her out of harm as a way to gain oc’s trust and don’t mean it completely
