V's Diary in Japan Weather : It's raining here.. While we were in Japan we had a showcase, photo-shoot and interview. Although we've been through it before, the first stages always seem nerve-wrecking. Actually I was shaking a little during our showcase but as I got accustomed to it I slowly enjoyed myself! Time has passed so fast since our debut showcase and that now we're having a showcase in Japan, it's honestly a whole new feeling. So that we won't disappoint our ARMYs, we've to become an even better and even more handsome BTS!! Ah also we had a photo-shoot after our showcase I was so happy because it was taken really well~ I hope it'll be revealed soon!!

Hello! ㅎㅅㅎ Jimin-ie's here after a long while hehe We've had our first Japan showcase! Our debut showcase in June feels as though it was just a few days ago but time's passing so fast while performing infront of our ARMYs, us smiling at each other and enjoying ourselves, it's honestly something I still haven't adapted to. At every moment I really do (feel that I) have to work harder. To put in more effort. Also that we've to always be thankful for ours fans. These seem like rather obvious to say but I really do think so! Everytime we see ARMYs it's really enjoyable for us but I hope that it's also as enjoyable and happy for our ARMYs when you see us~~ Thank you very much~~ -Our ARMYs always be smiling~ All the good luck~~With that in mind everybody kimchi~~~~! Today I’m thinking about the individual styles of the Bangtan Rapline:

Hobi- old school hip hop beats that represent it’s true essence yet blend it with something distinctly contemporary and unique.

Namjoon- Beautiful beats with songs that range from classic hip hop to soothing RnB, with heavy with words that kinda press on you

Yoongi- Deep lyrics on catchy pop beat that people can get on to- somehow maintains the essence of hip hop yet also attracting mainstream pop audience

And how each one is a treat to the ears but in different yet similar ways…

The “suga is a better rapper than rap monster”

I’m going to say this very practically.

Rap Monster was a rapper for 9 years, who taught himself how to rap, produce, and write all by himself with inspiration from western hip hop artists. His style is distinctly different from Yoongi’s rap style and flow. He is very articulate when rapping and is very intelligent with word play while writing lyrics. The beats he creates are clear and crisp. His message talks about sadness, lost love, and his inner feelings. Don’t forget about his emotional rapping. Songs like What am I to you and Too much where he literally spits his heart out about what he has gone through. To the point where he is screaming his emotions. His style is emotional and intellectual rapping.

Yoongi on the other hand a rapper of 5 years actually entered bighit as a producer. He is very good with creating beats and rhythms and compared to Rap Monster’s style he uses beats with a hard bass and his rap flow is aggressive and lyrics are straight to the point. He is very good with enunciating fast words and having a growl along with it.

 In his slower songs he tends to slur the words and almost gives a feel of him singing a song. His lyrics either tend to be more “diss” like. Where he shows the haters that he made it, or very personal to the point where it talks about his past. His style is trap and ballade.

Overall Yoongi and Namjoon are non comparable. Ther’ye different and I like that, but like Namjoon said “who are you to judge whats hip hop or not” Agust D is Agust D and RM is RM

People tend to go after Yoongi’s rapping because of the emotional lyrics and sick beats and I think because he is more of a trap style but I just want to acknowledge Rap Monster. Min Yoongi is a precious person who helped BTS is so many ways when it came to mental help, support, and to downright writing bts songs. But I want to clear the confusion on why people need to appreciate Rap Monster.

Kim Namjoon. Who rapped since he was 13, snuck out to underground clubs so he could perform for young artists. The Kim Namjoon who went to Bighit against his parents will in a lightly dimmed studio where he composed for hours creating songs and concepts for the upcoming group BTS.

The Kim Namjoon who basically writes every BTS song and even other idol’s songs. The Kim Namjoon who writes song about loneliness, self loving, and depression. He uses strong word play because he is a smart nerdy ass who I love. He plays with words and pronunciation.

The Rap Monster who got his heart broken so many times and to scream it out in every performance.

The Rap Monster who is neglected and messes up so many times only to be a even better person who works even harder to gain the attention of fans.

Not in no way am I saying Rap Monster is better but I definitely want to say that Rap Monster is the reason BTS is basically alive and to the point where it is now.

But you need to know the reality that both rappers are a huge help to BTS.

These 2 boys are the reason BTS’s songs are so emotional and  heart touching.

These 2 boys create lyrics from their past experiences and compose beats that people can nod their head to.

Instead of comparing them look at them as a strong duo.

Instead of fucking comparing why cant we acknowledge how strong these 2 grew out of all the pain they have gone through before debut and after debut.

Why can’t we celebrate both their major accomplishments and support the 2 for being amazing people whose message and story inspired many.

Lets appreciate Min Yoongi and Rap Monster for all the blood, sweat, and tears they have gone through.

Let’s appreciate how much they have grown and how stronger they have become.
