So... I found this and now it keeps coming to mind. You hear about "life-changing writing advice" all the time and usually its really not—but honestly this is it man.

I'm going to try it.

"Love is just a chemical reaction in your brain"

And a painting is just chemicals on a canvas.

Music is vibrations through the air.

Your condescending snark is also a chemical reaction in your brain (as are all human thoughts and feelings).

Something being made of matter doesn't make it any less profound.

Actually this reminds me.

I see a lot of people on apps like tiktok talking about how "modern poetry" is nothing but dogs or pomegranates. As if these topics have been watered down and there's not much you can do with them anymore because it's beating a dead horse at this point. But I think there's good reason for why they're popular and it's because we can connect to it or find solace and further meaning. And this is just such a beautiful way to take a popular subject for poetry and turn it into a unique, soul-crushing poem.

I also think trying to put young poets/writers down for connecting with popular subjects is counterintuitive to letting artists bloom into themselves. We say so much about supporting young artists in visual forms, but what about young artists in writing formats? From the logic that everyone starts somewhere, and practice/encouragement help people hone their passions, then we shouldn't dismiss novice poetry for being "simple" or "shallow."

this made me cry so now i need everyone to see it

Chat they made Minecraft into a silly goofy cringe movie even through Minecraft is actually about life and earth and the universe and tearing meaning out of the ground and molding it with your hands into something that you can be proud of. They made the pink sheep look ugly and funny for a cheap laugh when it should’ve been a beautiful moment where you, age eleven, come across this rarity, this beautiful anomaly and you hold its face in your hands and stare into its chocolate brown eyes and you realize what the whole world is about. Chat they made it into a joke
