“Powder Snow” Spell Jar (Pokemon Inspired)
A spell jar to remove one’s own romantic feelings for an ex or a toxic lover.
You Will Need:
❅ Jar or bottle with lid ❅ White Glitter ❅ Salt ❅ Dried White Rose Petals ❅ Ground Charcoal (artist) ❅ Garnet Chips ❅ Clear Quartz ❅ White Piece of Paper and Pen
Steps:
❅ On your piece of paper write down all of the reasons why you wish to remove your romantic feelings towards the other person. Write down the pain they have caused you and your wishes to be set free. Be sure to write this person’s name on the paper too. Set to the side
❅ In a bowl mix your salt, dried rose petals, glitter and charcoal (small amount). Stir counter-clockwise to banish these feelings for this person, visualize them freezing up into ice crystals and blowing away and out of your life.
❅ Carefully pour mixture into your jar and place your garnet chips and clear quartz on top
❅ Tear up your paper from the first step into tiny shreds. Put all of your desire to rid yourself of these emotions as you rip and tear them
❅ Add the small torn pieces into your jar and close it and seal it as you see fit.
❅ Keep somewhere at room temperature and close to where you frequent. Whenever you feel these feelings rearing up again, hold the jar and take deep breaths focusing on your desires to banish them from you. Use the energy of the jar for this.
Note: to break spell unseal jar and dispose of contents (properly)
Witchy things to do when you are cleaning your room
So I just cleaned my room and I’ve noticed a few things I do that could be considered witchy so here’s some stuff you could do to not only clean physically but also brush some of those aura/energy cobwebs away. THIS POST USES THE WORD ENERGY A LOT PLEASE DONT SHOOT ME!
1) Open up your curtains/blinds and let in some light.
This is something that I think everyone does when they clean but if you’ re a witch (or anyone who practices a craft) this is SO useful. It’s kinda like an initial cleaning of energies in your room. It also lets you see everything and will - most likely - make you feel better.
2) Open up a window.
This is a great way to get the natural energies outside to flow into your room and clear out some of the stagnant energies. It allows fresh air in which always makes me feel better and more peaceful. (Also it was snowing while I was cleaning so letting in some of that purifying and banishing energies was a good call. This could work in any weather though, it’ll just have slightly different energies when you finish) On a more mundane note, it gets really warm when tidying so the cool fresh air is a necessity.
3) Listen to your favourite music.
This will put you in the mood to get up and do something - in this case clean - and it’ll give you the persistence to finish it (or dance around, but that’s fine too) The positivity the music puts in you will also be put into the space you are cleaning so it’s really good to do when you feel kinda down.
4) Now just clean your room/space.
That’s it for this step nothing witchy just clean it while listening to music with the sun and wind helping you out.
5) Only after you have completely finished tidying have a shower/bath.
Some of those energies you just tidied up and got rid of are now on you and that’s not too good. You need to get rid of those negative, stagnant energies before they bring you down so have a nice cleansing shower or bath. (This will also help wash away the sweat you worked up after all that hard work of tidying - or is that just me)
6) Use some incense aka witches best friend.
So, you can either do this step before 5 or after. I prefer to do it after as I am no longer covered in those funky energies. You can burn any incense you want, I usually go with Citronella as it cleanses energies and also protects them from becoming stagnant (it does a lot of other things like bringing out creativity and clarity which are useful) To be clear you can use WHATEVER INCENSE YOU WANT or burn anything you want for that matter (just make sure if it’s safe first.)
There we go you now have a clean room and all those stagnant energies have been whisked away by at least one of these steps.
ideas about sigils
creating a sigil
start with a phrase or short sentence, stating your will or desire, or your end goal in present tense. “I am confident.” “I can afford rent this month.”
avoid negative language; for example, use “I will pass this test” instead of “I will not fail this test”
traditionally, take out vowels and repeated letters, and shape the remaining letters in an artistic way to create a symbol
you can also turn the letters into their most basic shapes
you can use cursive versions of letters, other alphabets such as the runic alphabet
you can use a sigil wheel, a letter grid, or other alphabets such as runes
you can add flourishes, little circles, extra lines and shapes
you can make a pictorial sigil if you want, manipulating symbols or other imagery (but I’d recommend skewing them to the point where you don’t actively recognize them on sight, so it can be banished easier)
you can place a boundary around your sigil (a circle, square, or triangle, for example) if you feel it will help secure the intent
activating and charging a sigil
🔥 with fire 🔥
burn it (and place in chalice or cauldron) - you can use these ashes creatively as well!
carve it into a candle and let it all melt away
draw it on a firework and set it off
⛰️ with earth ⛰️
bury it and let it decompose (make sure it is biodegradable!!!)
draw it in dirt somewhere it will be worn away
craft it with twigs, leaves, stems, etc, and burn it
carve it into bark or draw it on a stone (be nice to earth, I’d recommend doing this to loose bark, trees/stones you “own” like potted plants or trees in your yard, or dead trees… use good sense!)
draw it somewhere with salt
🌊 with water 🌊
write on body in eyeliner or other makeup before bathing
carve it into a soap bar and bathe with it
draw it on something that will dissolve and dissolve it
draw on a tea bag (with something edible like honey or edible ink), steep it, and drink the tea
🌀 with air 🌀
wave it through incense
draw it on a balloon, blow it up, and pop it
draw it on a kite and fly it
✨ other neat ways ✨
use it while cooking - oil on a pan, stirring a spoon in a pot, adding sauce, pouring honey into tea, etc.
write it with something (a colored ink, essential oil, food dye, etc.) on an eggshell and crush it into eggshell powder (great for sigils and spells to do with rebirth/rejuvenation/fertility/the new moon, or others that include eggshells)
write it on a bay leaf or other leaf that corresponds with your intent - and then maybe wrap it up into a spell jar, keep it in your wallet, crush it into a powder for a spell, etc.
write it on a piece of paper with invisible ink or a white crayon
write it on a piece of paper and seal it with wax
paint it with glow in the dark paint
paint it on an empty canvas before painting something else on top
place it in a music box, wind it, and let the music charge it
place it under your pillow at night (great for sigils to do with dreams/sleep, or studying/recalling knowledge)
paint on nails before painting them with nail polish
place in sun or moonlight
draw on a foggy mirror
use it as a background on phone/computer and leave it up while charging the device
draw it on your body
focus on it while orgasming
focus on it while experience pain or another extreme emotion
add a drop of blood to the sigil
okay, so what happens next?
once you activate and charge your sigil, laying it deep down into your unconscious mind, banish it. destroy it. forget about it entirely so it can work its magic.
go do something entirely unrelated shortly afterwards, like watching a movie or cooking dinner. forget about it entirely so it can work its magic.
you may elect to display it in a place you’ll see it often, but passively - such as the side of your bathroom mirror or on your fridge. the idea is to let it trigger your unconscious mind, instead of focusing on it consciously. if you find yourself thinking about it every time you see it, consider removing it.
Tarot Idea: Shuffle your deck. Take the cards from the very top and very bottom. The bottom is buried pain, whilst the top is divine advice.
Comfort Items + Witchcraft
A collection of ideas on how you may incorporate your comfort item/s into your craft. Be creative, be specific, make it your own! This is just to get some ideas flowing <3
Stuffed animals:
Put small tumbled crystals in with the stuffing.
Make a crystal bracelet/necklace for them.
Make herb/spell sachets (or even a teeny spell bottle) and place inside.
Alternatively, sew on a little pocket and place the sachet/bottle in that!
Enchant to bring comfort/protection.
*Use as a physical tie for wards or spells.
Make little outfits - incorporate color correspondences, stitch sigils in them, add little pockets to hold herbs/crystals, etc.

Blankets:
Stitch a sigil onto a corner (or use fabric paint).
Add a small pouch/pocket (with a flap) for herbs and crystals.
Spritz with an herbal spray.
Enchant to bring comfort/protection.
Color correspondences.
Make your own blanket and infuse magic into the stiches/rows. Be creative with the colors and patterns - how do they tie into what you intend to use the blanket for?
Other items/general ideas:
Hold and channel your energy + intention into the item.
*Use as a physical tie for wards/spells.
Draw/stitch/attach sigils.
Attach/include crystals.
Spritz with an herbal spray or attach herbs.
Utilize color correspondences/material correspondences.
Enchant the item itself, or attach something enchanted to it.
Things to keep in mind:
Cleansing. If you are using your comfort item to help protect from negative energies, I’d recommend cleansing it frequently!
Charging. How do you charge the magic you’ve added to your item?
Refreshing. With wards, spells, and enchantments, they tend to fade with time. When was the last time you refreshed it?
*Risks. Physical ties for wards can be affected when the ward is attacked/broken. Do you want to risk it? Also realize that there can be multiple layers to wards, you might use your comfort item as a smaller, more specific ward. (I recommend having multiple ward layers).
Have fun! Your comfort item is important to you, so what you do with it magically should feel good–not stressful or overwhelming!
