Every year you still see them at Adepticon tucked away in one of the smaller rooms with their table sized pillar of autumn model.

Honestly surprised at the lack of halo war games. Like, Bolt Action- or 40k-style.

A smaller kill-team focused style like Necromunda's probably a good idea, rather than whole armies. Just because the factions I can think of are kinda limited. Like, the biggest changes between some would probably be perk/ability/traits.

You've got UNSC, Insurrectionists, Covenant, Heretic Covenant, Flood, Prometheans, Banished, Swords of Sanghelios... maybe ONI? Kig'Yar pirates?

I dunno.

Do you have any tutorials on how you do the 6mm buildings? I have some of lazyforgers stuff in my queue, and ive been putting it off out of color choice paralysis.

i can give you a step by step of how i did them. its very simple!

Base them with a dark or medium gray blue. I used Scalecolor's Anthracite Gray (love this color, its the best jerry, THE BEST)

While the base coat is still wet, get an orange brown (I use Orange Leather) and blob it on in random places. Let it mix with the blue at random amounts. If you mix it too much, then just add more! you cant really mess this step up

Then while all that mess is still wet, add some spots of bright orange. I use Mars Orange. Let it mix a bit randomly too. You want some spots of mixing and some spots of bright orange.

Once the whole thing is FULLY dry, you're going to edge highlight along the ridges with a gray. I used Rainy Gray. This should be easy because they are raised up significantly. If the paint runs into the recesses, you're using too much or its too thin. I don't thin the paint at all for this step tbh

lastly, you're going unevenly edge highlight with white. The edges of metal panels should get highlighted more.

Pick out doors and cords and random panels in darker colors. I like to base them with Red Leather and edge highlight them with a flesh tone

My horny ass could NOT be the sole mechanic for a mech, alone in the repair bay, talking to the mech's AI core, discussing the harsh reality of the war we've found ourselves in. Me discussing my mortality, the 50ft entity I've spent the last several years learning the intricacies of and is fully aware of the fact that as a tool of war it'll either die in battle or end up abandoned as it's systems all fail until emergency back-up power keeps it awake for possibly thousands of years. We talk about how neither of us has felt a connection between ourselves and anything else worth dying for like that, except maybe... Well, the rest of the base has almost certainly gone to sleep by now. The cockpit clicks shut with a soft "click" and I. I mean uh, I forgot where I was going with this.
