Make This Hunger Games Dare Happen, Tumblr!

Right. I didn't expect the post I made featuring the new Mockingjay posters to garner a lot of notes considering many others also posted it around the same time as I did, but I'm rather pleased all the same. That being said, I'm gonna do something crazy in response. So basically, if the said post of the Capitol propaganda posters reaches more than 100,000 notes BEFORE the release of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 01" this November, then I'm going to dress up as Effie Trinket when I'm going to see the film in theaters and post the photos here on Tumblr. I'm pretty serious about this, y'all, given that I've only dressed up in character ONCE in my life to see a movie I really wanted to watch, and that was "Snowpiercer" back in January 2014 where I dressed up as a Tail Sectioner all train hobo and shit. So I dare y'all to like and reblog the shit out of that Mockingjay post I made to reach the goal target so I can basically make a fool of myself in public dressed as Effie Trinket. :) Cheers, everyone! Typical view of a cramped, dark, and grimy corridor within the residential areas of the Tail Section. 02. Gilliam's Tent, located at the very end of the Snowpiercer, as seen on the outside. 03. Living spaces inside the Tail Section intended to mimic the claustrophobic feel of slums in third-world countries. 04. A sketch depicting a violent, blood-soaked scene onboard the train, which was eventually realized in the film as the memorable battle between the Tail Section rebels and the Front Section soldiers at the Yekaterina Bridge and Tunnel. 05. A verdant rendering of the Greenhouse Section, where it marks the first time the Tail Section rebels encounter the vivid colors of the train. Notice a key difference: the old lady in the sketch is reading a book, whereas in the film, she is leisurely doing her knitting by the fountain. 06. I implore you to realise that you don’t have to be a minority to be bullied.

The world sucks, it’s a bunch of people trying to find their way, and you know what, sometimes they can be cruel.

I have the privilege that comes of being a white man in this world, whilst still being victim to prejudices as a bisexual. Like a lot of people I have been bullied, I have been picked on, and I have been made to feel like crap. But I can tell you now that this has rarely been a result of my sexuality. The aspect of myself that makes me a minority isn’t always the reason. People will find anything to pick on based on their own insecurities.

People are bullied for being ugly, being too pretty, too clever, too dumb, too talented, not talented enough, going against the crowd, being a sheep.

So the next time you disregard someone’s pain, experiences, or feelings, remember that pain is universal. Some people have it worse than others, true, but we shouldn’t disallow another’s pain because of that.

Because quite frankly if you’re reading this, you’re privileged, and someone will always have it worse.

TL;DR Let’s just be nice to each other, ok guys?
