Even though I will always be just another fangirl in the sea of others, I will always support you until the end. I'm just a musical girl who writes fanfiction, does art, watches anime, Obsesses over Marvel comic/ movies.

The circle of life is sad today. Rest in the stars Robert Guillaume (November 30, 1927 – October 24, 2017), the eternal voice of Rafiki ♥ Thank you Robert!

Thank you for posting this
social anxiety isn’t just quiet people who are shy!!! i may be talking a lot but internally i’m panicking and punching myself in the face for every word that comes out of my mouth thank u
So, my theory is that fangirls/boys get attached to fictional characters and celebrities so much because it’s like a one sided friendship. You feel like you know the person and have developed a deep bond with them. You get all the happiness, but none of the first awkwardness or fighting of a two-sided relationship. It’s almost like an instant friend who you can get to know in just a few short days.
Why do we seek these “fake friendships?” Many fangirls/boys joke about their lack of friends. Maybe the reason we look for the easy relationships is because irl friends are too difficult. Maybe you don’t live close to anyone who shares your common interests, or maybe you have a hard time connecting with another human.
Fictional friendships, on the other hand, take little to no effort. You just have to read all the books, watch the whole series, follow all their social media, and you know as much about them as anyone! Except you don’t, really. Nothing can replace a true friendship, where each person relies on the other. That’s why many of us may feel like we are lacking or something is missing.
