Thank you for bringing the part that most people don't want to talk about or are dismissive and it's a different pov than many people so it's nice to read. Now my question is IF they have to be a little bit extra careful because they have something to "hide" why is jimin the clingiest to jungkook? As in you know sometimes how jk gets nervous around jm or when jm is coming towards him or touching him this that and you see jk maybe kinda lean from one leg to other or take a step back so it might come off as him backing off in negative way so my question is if you know this is something ur partner gets nervous about why would you do it again and Again? Like we all know jk is clingiest to hobi and jin but jimin despite being the most physically affectionate person he seems clingiest to jungkook so why is that? Don't get me wrong but i haven't seen much of jm getting nervous or backing off when jk is coming closer like the way jk might do so is jk the only one who's feeling this need of "hiding" ? What about jm? Yes he's clingy to hobi and he used to tae as well but he's always been clingiest to jungkook so why is that?
I think the simple answer here is that Jimin and Jungkook are different people with different personalities and handle things differently. While Jungkook very easily gets flustered by Jimin’s actions, Jimin on the other hand doesn’t but we have seen Jimin get flustered because of Jungkook but it he doesn’t behave the same way Jungkook does when he is flustered or panicked. They both normally have to be careful because they have something to hide but that doesn’t mean there aren’t moments where they forget or slip up and habit can be difficult to control (and that’s where they slip up and we catch them) plus, I believe they also get away with so many things because people reduce most of their actions to fanservice and they know this. Clinginess also isn’t inherently romantic and as you said, Jimin isn’t only clingy with Jungkook so maybe sometimes he is just being his normal clingy self and not necessarily having second thoughts.
I guess I should have explained more in my previous post that we see the panic more in Jungkook than we do in Jimin and this to me is just because they are different and handle things differently. I also think that Jimin and Jungkook find some sort of pleasure in teasing each other or pushing each other’s buttons to get a certain reaction. I remember that one moment from 2019 where Jimin and Jungkook were at a photoshoot and Jimin started leaning into Jungkook and you could see Jk becoming increasingly uneasy, then Jimin noticed, laughed and said he likes to do it because Jk doesn’t like it. Now, we know that it isn’t really in Jimin’s nature to push when he knows that the other person doesn’t feel comfortable because Jk himself literally said that Jimin is very good at leaving one alone after you tell him once so it is clear to me that sometimes Jimin only does it to tease because he knows how Jk would react and then some other times he probably is just being his bold and shameless self but Jk feels nervous anyway.
While many people throughout the years have claimed that Jimin makes Jk uncomfortable or Jk hates Jimin’s touches and all that, it’s always been clear to me that Jk doesn’t because when you actually listen to the things he says, you understand that he actually likes that side of Jimin .Do we remember what Jk said when he was asked to say what he liked most about Jimin? Jk could have literally said anything else but he said he likes the fact that Jimin is shameless/bold.
This is yet one of those moments that easily flies over everyone’s head but there is alot of weight in Jungkook’s statement here. He never hated how bold/shameless Jimin was, he liked it actually but he just couldn’t handle it in public settings sometimes and Jimin probably knew it which is why he kept doing it and we know that Jk never felt like his personal space was invaded by Jimin because if he did, he never would have said what he said about Jimin during festa 2016 and he never would have spoken about how considerate and thoughtful Jimin is. If someone constantly invades your personal space, disregarding your feelings and making you uncomfortable, the last thing you would think of them is that they are considerate/ thoughtful
So anon, to answer your question, Jimin is clingy with Jungkook because he likes being clingy with him and because he knows that Jk really doesn’t hate it. He is clingy with Jungkook even though Jk usually seems flustered because he (Jimin) probably likes the reaction he gets out of Jk and it is fun for him as they both enjoy teasing and flustering the hell out of each other. He might also be clingy with Jungkook out of habit and sometimes can’t help it, so even though at the back of his mind he knows they have to be cautious, he probably doesn’t see some of the things he does as “telling” but he can’t help it if Jungkook gets nervous anyway. If Jimin thought that Jk really hated it, he wouldn’t have done it and we know this for a fact because Jk said this…..so we understand that Jimin actually knows how to respect Jungkook’s boundaries
So anon, my advice to you and to other people will be to let the boys do them and always try to think of context when reading into their interactions. The people who continue to talk about Jimin making Jk uncomfortable or talking about Jk not liking Jimin’s touches and stuff only do that because they are taking things at face value or sometimes are just projecting even though Jk’s words throughout the years and even his actions from behind the cameras that we have heard or mistakenly seen proves that Jk is more than ok wit Jimin’s affection and touchiness, infact he seeks it out. He wouldn’t be spending all time going to knock on Jimin’s door at 1am knowing that Jimin would probably start clinging to him if he didn’t like it, he goes there because he doesn’t mind and because he knows that Jimin understands boundaries. He likes Jimin’s clingyness, likes his touches and his shamelessness but just doesn’t know how to deal with it in public or infront of the cameras because he probably feels nervous about giving too much away. Jimin has his moments when we can see him feeling nervous with Jungkook coming too close but it’s not as conspicuous as Jungkook’s and also maybe because Jungkook doesn’t try to fluster Jimin as much as Jimin does but we know that when JK starts being shameless, Jimin can’t handle him either.

I suddenly got really emotional about the fact that jikook spent the night before jeju, and that Jimin travelled to Tokyo rather than to Sapporo directly.
It’s just Loud, you know? Their acts of devotion to one another.
You know what I’m likely not going to do after a 13-14 hr flight? Want to hang out. Hang out and cook a meal. With a person I’m going on a 3 day trip with the next day. Even a best friend.
You know what I’m not going to want to do after a two day long intense video shoot? Take a flight to spend some more time with someone who is going to be very busy with their own schedules when I’m going on a 3 day trip with them 2 days later. For me personally, for even a best friend, it would be a peace I’m going to sleep and see you in 2 days for our trip!
They prioritize and jump at the chance to spent even a small portion of time together. JK refusing a beer so he and Jimin could spend some more time alone together ahead of his next round of busy schedules. Jimin flying to Seoul rather than Hawaii to spend a few hours together. They do this consistently, and over years.
Love really is a road that goes both ways :(

One of my favourite things about Jikook is how those two genuinely just love being together regardless of the time, occasion or activity. One of my favourite things about being a jikooker is that we really don’t need to make anything up when it comes to Jikook because those two pretty much do everything themselves.
I sometimes sit and genuinely wonder how anyone could possibly believe that either of these men are with any other bandmates when they have proven over and over that in most of those moments when you’d expect a couple to be together, you would almost always see or hear that jikook were together. I mean Jungkook literally just got back from a trip and normally after trips, most people want to see and spend time with their lovers or just be alone to rest but the one who was waiting for Jungkook at home was Jimin and notice how even after the long and probably tiring trip, Jk still made sure to cook for him? Also notice how Jimin didn’t just visit and leave but actually spent the night there? How realistic is it to honestly believe that Jungkook is dating anyone else even after Jimin and Jungkook have proven over and over that in those moments they prefer each other’s company over any one else’s.
It’s the same thing that happened after PTD in Seoul back in 2022. After a 3 day tiring concerts where they probably hadn’t had anytime to spend with their loved ones since they were so busy with rehearsals and stuff, Jungkook still went immediately to Jimin after the concert was done. He didn’t go to anyone else, but to Jimin and after cooking for him, filming some content for the documentary, it seems like Jungkook actually spent the night there since they were seen together again the next day which just happened to be a couple holiday.
Like you said anon, these are moments where most people would either just want to be alone to rest or be with the most precious ones to them but here we have Jimin and Jungkook “coincidentally” always ending up by each other’s side.
Jimin and Jungkook have shown us more than enough how much they mean to each other and how much they value the time they spend with each other. Those two have over the years chosen to spend time you would expect any lovers to spend together with each other over and over again and this isn’t us making shit up or hearing snores from people’s beds at 3am. This is Jimin and Jungkook themselves letting us know that they choose to spend this time together so there is no debate here.
Jimin also went to Japan earlier with Jungkook even though he didn’t need to and he could have just travelled a day later. Even in the show you see how those two just gravitate towards each other and how they very naturally make plans to do stuff together. Anon, there is so much to be emotional about when it comes to Jikook and how much they truly love being around each other just for the hell of it but I still get so damn emotional every time I remember that Jimin is and has always been such a safe space and comfort to Jungkook that Jimin is who Jungkook chose to go to everytime he was lonely. There were 5 other members he could have taken turns in going to when he was bored or lonely but he kept going to one person over and over even though while there, they didn’t necessarily do anything much. If this doesn’t tell you everything you need to know already, nothing will.
Oh, to have a lover that runs through the airport to get to you sooner just so he can cook you dinner. A lover that will climb a mountain just to bring you back the snow that you adore so much. A handsome lover that will shamelessly beg you to come over while he's still wrapped up in his sheets. A lover who will plan a trip and fly you to Tokyo just to take you to Disney when the whole park is themed after the movie that inspired your signature. A lover that will remember everything about you and every experience you've shared with the most precious detail. A lover who will scold you with a smile on his face and is unafraid of looking silly just to make you laugh.
But also
Oh, to be a lover that runs across the stage to be by their side when they are hurting. A lover that will fly halfway around the world just to be with them on their birthday. A lover who will listen intently as they talk about even the mundane things like sand fleas and bikers. A lover who will give them butterflies after all these years and even while you're covered in mosquito bites. A lover who will hold them and wipe their tears when they cry. A lover who will make them feel safe and secure to be their chatty, teasy, energetic, sensitive self when they are with you. A lover who will praise them to the moon and provide constant assurance of your love for the art and things they produce. A lover who will get scolded with a smile on your face and is unafraid of looking silly just to make them laugh.

Why hello my Lovergurls, Loverbois and Loverenbies! It’s been a minute since I made a Naked post, hasn’t it? Well, need something fun to do tonight, so given a particular development that came to light because of the AYS behind the scenes, I decided that it would be fun to point out a couple of things, while we look at a couple of chronologically very interesting fact at least to me, they are quite interesting I even have a tin-hat moment for y’all! … So ⚠️SPOILER ALERT⚠️if you don’t want any AYS VOD Behind The Scenes spoilers, this is not the post for you. Ayte? Cool, lesgo! 😘💋
The date is July 13, 2023. JM, and his perfectly shaven legs, get into a flight to NYC. Nobody knows why. Most of his solos assume he must be going for a personal schedule that has nothing to do with JK. Most Jkkrs assume that he is going to support JK. Boat Blue Bird AMI feel a certain way about airport info which they can’t be completely blamed for tbh, so they completely ignore the whole thing.
At this very moment in time, all we know for sure are the following 3 things: 1. JK’s solo first single, Seven, will be released July 14, 2023. 2. JK will debut said single with a live performance on Good Morning America on that same July 14. 3. July 14 also just so happens to be Silver Day. So it is that the evening of the 13th of July pulls up and pictures of what seem to be JM and JK going about the streets of NYC start surfacing. Some believe them, some don’t and we are all left at that.
July 14, 2023, the following day, finally arrives. JK does amazing, despite the rain, and even though he let’s it slip that JM is somewhere in NYC because of a very curious TV-host, he manages to still keep JM’s presence very vague. Yet, the thing that will have the majority that was paying attention except for celebrating Capulets of course rather confused, and some even aghast, is the fact that JM was nowhere to be found at JK’s performance. This will eventually be a topic of discussion for months to come, given how JM had been physically present for every other member’s debut, release, live, or fanmeet.
Eventually, on the July 15th a video of who seem to be JM and JK on a yacht surfaces on the world wide web thanks to said yacht’s dickhead owner, as well as tells of various other people who begin to spot the two around Connecticut. As always, most AMI ignore, Jkkrs decide to die on that hill, and Capulets fight to deny everything. Regardless, eventually JM goes back to Seoul in the same way he had left, alone, and the reason for his visit to NYC, because at this point nobody believes he was in Connecticut, or even with JK at all remains a mystery.
Little did we know that: On July 13th, not only were JM & JK truly spotted skipping around NYC, after they’d gone eating at a Korean restaurant named Antoya, with their staff and crew,
but JM had indeed gone specifically for the sole objective of being with JK and filming a single travel vlog for AMI before they left for the military.
Could he not have just shown up for JK’s debut at GMA, just like he’d done with all the other members? Yes, I’m sure he could have, but apparently JM would rather have spent the night before leisurely with JK, perhaps getting him tired enough to have him at least sleep a little, so that he’d be ready for his performance the following day, rather than staying awake from nerves and/or excitement, to then eventually relaxedly go and film their carefree and “therapeutic” content.
Eventually, we’d also have confirmed the fact that JM & JK went back to Antoya, this time alone, most likely right before JM returned to Seoul.
The date is September 23, 2023. Jungkook is once again in NYC where, and within the walls of a very familiar hotel room, he starts a WEVERSE live, right after he’s done performing at the Global Citizen Festival in Central Park:
That very day Jimin has the world in hysterics as his posts his first #ThisIsJimin reel on IG many “cried”: it was emotional. This very night JK would also get on a flight to get back to Seoul. JK lands September 24, 2023 and nothing would be heard neither of him, or JM, on this day.

September 25, 2023 quickly comes by and from this day, for a couple of more days, JM start’s to be particularly active on IG, making us believe that “Okay, interactive JM is back!” … 🤡 by first posting a video of Tae.
Tae Surprise Performance
September 28 he posts a picture of what looks like a shark eventually JK will tell us it was a whale 🙃… okay saying that JK drew it. September 29, JK’s second single, 3D, is released, and JM also posts something about it on his IG. October 1, the second #ThisIsJimin is posted on IG and, on the same day, JK also has a StationHead Listening Party with AMI. This would be the last we’d hear from JM until the day before his birthday (October 12, 2023).
Little did we know that: On September 25th, JK, JM and Tae would be boarding on a plane all the way to Jeju, to film the Autumn episode of Are You Sure?!. I guess being around Tae might have been what made JM want to post that video on that same day, but really, who knows, right? That same night, after Tae goes to bed, JK and JM spend some time together in the living room watching a performance video for SNTY and chit-chatting; the below being one of the chats:
From this convo, we gather that JK didn’t sleep, at least on the flight from NYC to Seoul, reason why he was tired, and it would appear that he’s told JM beforehand because he is searching for consensus, which JM readily gives. So at this point we are all like “He’s told JM before they travelled”.
And then this AYS behind the scenes change this whole scenario completely:
Given as to how they literally were to have met to film content together, couldn’t they just have met the following day? Yes, I’m sure they could have, but apparently JM & JK would rather have spent the previous night together, rather as JK landed in Soul as they enjoyed some makguksu made by JK at JK’s place.
Tin-Hat Moment: Remember how I’ve mentioned time and time again that I just go on the Blue Bird to silently get info? There was a rumor back in August 2023 that JK and JM were spotted in Jeju. No pictures were going around on the platform but it was all that jkkr twitter was talking about for that day as the rumor died within a day or two. It took me forever to find this tweets again but here are some:
I remember this rumor so well since, because of it, I thought that AYS Jeju was being filmed in August, which is close enough to Chuseouk. However, if these episodes were filmed at the end of September; how was there a rumor that they had been spotted in Jeju mid August? 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 …
… I guess we’ll never know.
The date is November 23, 2023. JK & JM stroll up together into Incheon and because of that nobody, be it jkkrs, be it Capulates, be it Blue Bird AMI can ignore their presence and the word of everyone’s mouth is: Why?
Reporters at the sight all have received info saying that they are working together on some kind of project. And as they make their way through Incheon greeting people, looking like the next royal couple, they eventually land in Tokyo, and after JM posts the below pictures on November 25th, chaos ensues.
“They are not staying in the same hotel?!” “JM has spent his whole day without JK, shopping and having fun” “JK is no where near JM” “Yeah, we’ve felt it for a while, they are just business associates kinda bandmates” “So it is just work after all” “... maybe they just happened to have business in Tokyo on the same day and went together”.
Eventually on that same November 25, JM & JK are seen leaving for Sapporo, and on November 28, they both go back to Seoul. This time around, the general consensus is that they are filming because they are seen in the airport in Sapporo with GoPros, but nobody knows what they are filming exactly. Hence, they go fairly unnoticed in Sapporo, except for a youtuber who randomly spots them, on her way back to Seoul, and who thought she’d seen JK and his blond girlfriend … 😏 .
Little did we know that: On November 23rd, JK was hella busy when they went to Tokyo, as we know, amongst the many things he did, he also filmed the Hate You video JM’s favourite song from Golden may I add:
So much so that there were sightings of JK being spot in particular restaurants and JM in others, which to be honest, given how busy JK was, I don’t have a problem believing. So then, Couldn’t have JM just meet JK directly in Sapporo? Afterall JM did fly to NYC to meet up with JK alone? Yes, I’m sure he could have, but apparently JK would rather have had JM around even if they couldn’t do much together because, from his very own words:
… Who knows what they did together in Tokyo. This, like many other things surrounding JK & JM might just remain a mystery we’ll never know 🙄.
Now let me tell you, because of what had been initially presented to us, throughout JM & JK’s “chapter 2” and thanks to what is slowly being revealed, it is safe to say that we were NEVER going to get that WEVERSE live, not for fault of JK I’d say, I think my Twinflame tried his best
Also he can lie his ass off when needed kudos to him no cap!👏🏾 This live happened after they met in NYC, on the 30th of July. I mean this the same man that pulled up on WEVERSE for a whopping 1 minute and 53 second with a 17’s member.
Basically if they wanted to have done a live together; they would have.
Ever since I’ve found out that basically JM spent every single night before filming AYS with JK, for, even though he didn’t really have to, nights during which honest to everything, they could have just done a 10sec live particularly in Tokyo, since we publicly so them go together, I’ve had Rihanna’s James Joint stuck in my head:

This song made me think about them, not because I think they are in this edgy-as-hell relationship, but because it finally dawned of me that there were a lot of things that both JM & JK rather would have done than coming on a live with us 🤡🥹🙃, which to be honest, no matter how much I am the first person who loves to see them together and would have boxed JK’s trainer for a live … I must admit … I respect their decisions, and if they really are in a relationship, I find this rather healthy NGL. Aaaand that’s all from me y’all, as always, stay sassy, but keep it hella classy 💋.

This won’t be everyone’s song preference, it’s older and has a definitive English beat from the time but it reminds me of our duo.
In every instance, from staff to members, they combine them, time spent, one brain cell, they think alike. Everyone at some point has let us know they are entwined.
We have watched them in their own bubble-stopping the world and melting together. Through their glances that make US melt, their touches, sighs, nuances.
Their stories-‘was it at my grandmother’s birthday party?’ Jimin asks, and the imperceptible affirmation nod from Jungkook. ‘I was with Jungkook when we got the Billboard News’. ‘I’m full because I slept at Jungkook’s last night and he cooked for me’. ‘Jimin Hyung would like this beef shank stew’. ‘Jimin-ssi likes the taste of sour best’. Swiping his hand, no! Jimin has never shaved his head before.
One of the most beautiful gifts they give to each other is stopping the world and melting together.
For all we think about BigHit, they can be commended for giving us glimpses of this since 2013. They didn’t have to leave ANY of it in; but they did. Sure some LIVES or Rose Bowl couldn’t be deleted, but the rest? They left it in. They allowed us to view them stopping the world and melting together.
We know just how much this means to them, this sensual, flirtatious, play fighting, protective, encompassing love, dance they do means because it’s glaringly blatant when they show us instances where they didn’t stop the world and melt together.
They correct it, re-align and that’s the most beautiful of all.
‘You didn’t call me when you were busy’, ‘You practically lived at the pool hall with Taemin’, ‘You need to apologize to me for taking Taehyung’s side in the ham/pink sausage debate’, ‘I will cuddle you tonight’, ‘no, I’m fine’, ‘I’m not okay, I want you to stop and drink this iced coffee’.
When they aren’t melting, it’s palpable. But then just like the planets they represent, re-alignment is swift. Exhalations happen.
They make the world stop for them to once again melt with each other.

With the way Jungkook sometimes looks at Jimin in AYS, it almost feels like he's looking at him like it's his first time seeing him. Wonder? Amazement? Awe? I truly don't know what to make of it. And considering they have been friends for 10+ years, that says A LOT.
Now that AYS is over, thank you, THANK YOU! to everyone re-blogging their old posts of our duo from years back.

2022 our King holds back tears; we can’t tell you everything, but please if you’d just take our words as truth-he can’t go on speaking-he knows millions will twist it, distort it, call him an attention whore, a pig, ugly, a liar, a paid shill for BH.
There’s so much to say but too much at stake. He is tasked with not bringing dishonour to BTS or Korea.
He also has an obligation to himself and his partner to live a life filled with purpose, joy, meaning, radiant love.
He walks a tightrope.
KMedia, saesangs, pretend fans, stealthily in the shadows, stalk. Jikook are their prey. Bloodthirsty, vile creatures, intent on causing a downfall to what the rest of us view as a miracle of the ages.
Snippets of their union in LIVES after 2022. Until the biggest opportunity presents; AYS. In my mind, I’m hoping they did cartwheels around the house, laughing uncontrollably, like we know they can-we can show them. We can SHOW them! In 2024, they will be SHOWN!
And they did.
For us believers, their ‘together’ dance onscreen in each episode was like warm honey to a sore, screaming ’they are real’ throat. And then the icing; our high EQ King knew the backlash would be there, he’s no fool.
So he laid on the floor and told us, didn’t show us, TOLD us, how you see me here travelling with Jungkook, is how I am at home, in Korea.
He then picked himself up, let us see him teary & sad upon leaving. They let us into their world where Jungkook continues to try to lessen his sadness. Knowing he, himself, is gone away the next day, so he can’t spend too long making his man feel better. Which also breaks Jungkook.
Jimin free dove off the tightrope.
Knowing Jungkook would be there to catch him.
Knowing we would all be there to catch him in our global phalanx safety net.

Are you sure? Initial thoughts
Ah I've been rereading a post I made before AYS aired about my excitement and hope for the show.
How joyful yet filled with dread I was about what would be on display, what would be uncovered, and people's reaction.
In retrospect, I think AYS gave us everything we hoped for and more.
We saw jikook relaxed and comfortable, enjoying their time together, doing mundane stuff, with quiet and simple moments, or doing fun activities where they felt free and joyful and in the present moment.
My takeway of this show and jikook's relationship is their sense of belonging.
I hoped for a closer look into their dynamic and we really got that.
The way their relationship works is that no matter what they are doing (or not doing), you can see how much pleasure they are taking for simply being in each other's presence. There is a flow and an ease between them that never gets disrupted by anything. They simply adapt to their circumstances and keep being authentic and enjoy the time together.
They showed several times how important these trips were for them.
But in truth it showed it was not (only) about the trips.
What is really obvious is how much they value their relationship, how much care they put in it.
This is not about the trips, this is not about making a show.
This is allowing time to tend and to nurture this relationship they deeply love.
That's what most important.
It matters to them, so much.
Even with Jungkook (we can see it in I am still) crazy schedule. Maybe because of his schedule.
It was needed, it was even indispensable.
Now we have all the information, I cannot see them not making those trips before military. They craved it so much, and they loved it so much, it was for their own mental health and well-being, to keep their internal balance.
When your world turns upside down, when you are faced with the Unknown, your first instinct is to reassure yourself, is to go home, and make yourself a cup of warm tea, and do the things that makes you feel calm and relaxed. As humans we tend to do this, to take cover, to retreat, in the safest place we know, to ease our hearts and to make us think everything will be ok.
That's what Jimin & Jungkook did.
They went home to each other. They took cover into the ease and softness of their relationship, because that's known. Because that's safe. It's where they feel they belong and they can rest.
I understand why.
Such relationship is an oddity in the real world, it's once every blue moon, it doesn't come easily, sometimes people spend their whole life searching for it.
We can see also how much the dynamic is different with other members. Nothing compares to them.
I think jikook are aware of this (because they are smart people) so when you find something so precious, you want to care for it and keep it close to your heart.
It shows in how much tenderness they have for e/o.
Jungkook plays the "baby alpha" yet with Jimin he transforms into the most caring and protective.
Jimin is a selfless guy in general but we see how he truly deeply enjoys seeing Jungkook happy. "All for your happiness".
Damn it makes me tear up just to think about it.
They are SO LOUD. My god.
It is so goddamn beautiful to witness.
At this point I am simply happy for them.
Happy they have each other. Happy they got to show who they are together with no repercussions (because thank god people are still stupid! Blessed be the ignorant)
This show was a rollercoaster of emotions, but now we know, now we see, now we say "Ah yes, that's it. This is what this is about"
Forever grateful to them for trusting us like this with a huge part of themselves.
They really do love us a lot.

When AYS started out there was question on mind which my more delulu side wanted an answer to but didn't want to get my hopes up on receiving.
How did jikook come to the realisation that the needed to enlist as companion soldiers ?
I honestly didn't expect them to broach the topic until Sapparo so when they begun talking about going together in Jeju, to say I was surprised, was an understatement.
They openly talked about what they're hoping their experience will be like and how they'll be glad to support one another while joking about getting to see the other comforting bald heads each morning. It was all really sweet but it felt like edging, almost?? Like they were almost on the brink of telling us why they decided to go together cause it is obviously a decision they've carefully thought about and is something none of the other members had even considered so naturally a simple explanation should go along with it right?
Yet instead we're left with jikook just casually displaying how confident they are in their bond to know they'll be fine no matter what the military throws at them.
And then comes Sapparo and it's like the undercurrent melancholy of their impending enlistment is attached to every experience they're having in Sapparo. The soft, gentle moments like the train rides or the late night snacks or the long drives all feel heavier even when it's light hearted fun.
And you feel.... surely now ? Surely now they'll finally divulge why it was so important for them to enlist together?
Except the series ends on the bittersweet note of us, quiet literally, sending off the two of the them to the military after spending the latter half of the last episode watching them try and fail to lift their spirits up, knowing their trip was coming to an end.
It was definitely the bluest episode yet.
Yet my annoying brain wouldn't shut up? Cause narratively it didn’t make sense right? They've somehow broached the subject of military enlistment without giving us a solid explanation of how that decision came to be ??
And then as the credits rolled and I sat there rolling in melancholy too it hits me.
AYS is the answer.
Watching the two of them co exist around one another in perfect haphazard harmony for the past 8 episodes is all the reasonable explanations one would need to know to come to a conclusion on how buddy enlistment came into the picture.
Because it was a given.
Connecticut was a reaffirmation for themselves and also perhaps army's who'd gotten too comfortable dismissing their bond in chapter 2 that jimin and jungkook are well,, jimin and jungkook.
Jeju and Sapporo were a display of just how well the duo embodied 'the you are me, I am you' they've claimed for themselves years ago.
If you're still asking why jikook would enlist together when there were 20 other better alternatives, you've not been paying attention.
Cause once jikook were back in tandem, they were never not going to enlist together.
Them: JK has two motorbike helmets in his house, one for his gf and one for him.
Jikook: wearing motorbike helmets on their show.
Them: Jimin is going to debunk Jikook because he went to shoot with women in a hot-spring in Budapest
Jikook: give us endless footage of them in a hot tub/ jacuzzi playing and having fun with each other.
Them: JK didn’t want to do the show, JM and the company forced him.
JK: I love the show so much, this is so much fun, I want to do this till we’re 50, I want to go back to the first day of our trip, we should reboot this after our service, these were the best trips in my life. I feel so free!
Them: JK wanted to do his enlistment with V, JK is only going to train with Jimin for 5 weeks then he’ll move to another base, JK doesn’t want to be with Jimin! They won’t sleep in the same dorm
JK: We’ll be going together, I hope we sleep across from each other, why wasn’t I in the dream when we’re going together? I’m hurt. Talks about their enlistment in the presence of V who isn’t the least bit bothered!
Them: stop romanticising the show!
JK: I prefer streets to large roads because it’s more romantic. This is romance!!!
Them: Jikook don’t care about Tokyo GCF! OMG, their ship tanked so hard
Jikook: When we came here for our trip seven years ago, we had so much fun! That’s why we came back.
Them: Jikook didn’t see each other in 2023, this proves that their relationship was fake and they were only close because of work.
Jikook: spends time with each other in 2023 both in private and in front of the camera despite knowing they will be enlisting together.
Them: Jikook didn’t sleep in the same hotel! JK went to his husband’s house and left Jimin alone in a hotel.
Jikook: not only slept in the same hotel but the same room.
Them: Jikook don’t know each other’s schedule, they don’t even talk.
Jikook: singing each other’s unreleased songs, being aware of minute details of each other’s daily activities.
Them: JK didn’t even want to shoot the show with him, he kept wishing other members were on the show! How embarrassing.

Jimin has to be so tired of always trying to hold it down and be the older one who keeps things from getting all out whack. When he's sober & clear headed and in his head space, he will ignore everything Jk says to him that flirts past friendship lol. Jokingly calls his compliment lame. Downplays JK being romantic with snarky replies. Yet you put some alcohol in that man and all that weight is gone. Then we have him laying on the floor spilling his guts and the boyfriend pops right out. "Honey" "baby" "boyfriend pic" "My Jungkook". Okay, tell us more Jimin. He really has so much weight & pressure he carries on his shoulders & probably overthinks so much, including dealing with hate. Wondering how his relationship with JK will affect BTS, his dad's business, everyone but thinking about himself really. This is where JK comes in and is loud for the both of them. So it was so nice to see Jimin just let his guard down, so much so he let us see he was down cause the trips were coming to an end. I started crying too, cause you know when Jimin lets his guard down, its major. Jimin doing this for JK, when he saw that JK needed him and went to him to make it up to him and Letter, is probably two of the boldest things we ever seen him do, besides enlisting with Jk. He really let his guard down and let us see his vulnerability. I feel so honored esp knowing how private Jimin's become.

That's a perfect description of Jimin or at least how I see him in their dynamic. Just perfect. I just realised its the last time im going to say it...for now... because I know that there will be more seasons in the future:)
I won't be able to watch the episode until this weekend due to my schedule but I hope you all have or can watch it today and whilst watching it I hope you'll are the happiest and enjoy the final episode of our jiminie and kookie having the best time together. I just wanted to share something on here (after contemplating for 2 whole weeks)...I used to sketch/pencil shade a lot as a child...I gradually just withdrew myself from art beacuse I prioritised other things and really missed it so much. The last time I held a pencil to draw something was during lockdown, which is almost 5 years ago. I am not the best I completely agree. This picture right here sparked something in me to just bring out my small sketching notepad and use my pencil not to make notes this time but to finally do something I enjoyed doing in the past and oh how much I missed it.
It's not the best I know, but when I drew the outline, I literally sobbed in the corner of my room for 15 minutes. I drew this in 30 minutes cause I didn't have enough time and you know the feeling when you haven't done something in so long that you feel you don't have it in you anymore? I really felt that way before I bought out my notepad, but then I realised something that you will always love doing can never be forgotten.
