Dragons Are Found In Every Culture On Earth From Greek, To Egyptian, To Inca, Native American, Roman,

— Dragons are found in every culture on earth from Greek, to Egyptian, to Inca, Native American, Roman, Persian, Sumerian, Babylonian, African cultures, Japanese and Chinese cultures, ancient Atlantean legends; they all speak of the power and wonder of dragons. Dragons are misunderstood they are not evil. They are protectors or guardians. In many stories, dragons were the very first creation the Gods. They are guardians of the elements, protectors of the realms, both the destroyer and the creator.

So, what is Dragon Dust?

- Dragon Dust is magical Incense designed to draw dragon magic and dragons to you. Dragons are powerful ancient beings. Unlike the fae, dragons pick who they follow. Like the fae, once a dragon picks you, that dragon is bound to you forever, even following you when you are reincarnated or reborn. The main ingredient of Dragon Dust is Dragon’s Blood resin.

~ Before I teach you how to make Dragon Dust, you first need to learn about Dragon’s Blood and its uses ~

A bit about Dragon’s Blood

- Dragon’s Blood is a bright red resin that is obtained from different species of a number of distinct plants. The most common species to obtain the resin from is Dracaena cinnabari, otherwise known as the Dragon’s Blood Tree.

- The therapeutic properties of Dragon’s blood includes the following: anesthetic, anti-allergic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, anti-dysenteric, anti-fungal, anti-hemorrhagic (reduce bleeding), anti-leukemia, antioxidant, antiseptic, anti-tumor, antiviral, neurasthenic (reduce nerve pain) and wound healer, and also includes analgesic (pain-reliever), anti-cancerous, anti-itch, anti-ulcerous, and astringent properties. It also has a protective action on the skin, and coupled with the wonderful anti-bacterial properties, makes it a natural to be included in a product to fight acne. Not withstanding the anti-bacterial effect on the skin, it also exhibits powerful anti-viral properties. Apart from all these very positive qualities, Dragon’s Blood also has very good antioxidant properties which also help to protect the DNA in the skin cell, which protects the skin from genetic alteration.

- When burnt, Dragon’s Blood creates a strong herbal and spicy fragrance. It’s traditionally used in Indian ceremonies to get rid of negative energies and spirits, and is regarded as having cleansing properties. It’s also calming, and some believe it has aphrodisiac properties too, especially if you leave a piece under your mattress. - As well as for burning, the resin has gained other uses throughout history. In the 18th century, Italian violin makers are said to have used it as a source of varnish for their instruments, and the Greeks and Romans regarded it as having medicinal properties. The warriors in ancient China used to carry it with them when going into battle. If they were wounded, they used the resin to stop their wounds from bleeding so much.

Medicinal uses for Dragon’s Blood resin

Dragon’s Blood resin is used externally as a wash to promote healing and stop bleeding. Internally, it is used for chest pains, postpartum bleeding, internal traumas, and menstrual irregularities.

Dragon’s Blood Bath Salt

Prepare yourself in style for your rituals and celebrations. Made with pure sea salt and clean, straight resin.

Dragon’s Blood Oil

Dragon’s Blood oil is good for protection and empowerment, and is especially helpful for defense on the astral plane. Like any sword, it has two sides; it can be used in offense as well as defense. On the other hand, some folks work love magick with dragon’s blood oil - its red color amplifies the passion of love magic, and its Mars association increases the power. This magick oil is made by steeping the best refined Chinese Dragon’s Blood resin in safflower oil. Like the Dragon’s Blood palm itself, safflower is a Mars plant (and even contains the Mars metal, iron), so the power of this oil is doubled. In addition, the oil is scented with opoponax, a Mars/Pluto resin that is especially effective for protection as well as for acquiring the kind of knowledge one might wish to gain on the astral plane. It’s also nicely fragrant. Dragon’s blood resin is a colorant, so this oil can stain clothes. Because this is made from resins instead of essential oils, it will settle out after it sits for a while, so shake thoroughly before using. Store in a cool, dark place.

More uses for Dragon’s Blood resin and incense

- The resin is burned to entice errant lovers to return, which is usually done by women seated near an open window looking outside at night. A stick of it placed under the pillow or mattress will cure impotency. the resin is a powerful protectorate that when carried, smoldered as incense, or sprinkled around the house, will drive away evil and negativity. A pinch of it added to other incenses will increase their potency and power. According to Cunningham, in order to quiet a noisy house, use the powder mixed with sugar and salt and place a bottle to be hidden somewhere in the house where it can’t be found. The result will be peace and quiet within the house.

- Magickal Herbalists have been stirred by the properties and uses of the resin for generations. Due to its color of red and its pleasing odors, Dragon’s Blood is widely used in love magick and workings of the heart. Also widely used as a funeral herb, it is most common to burn the resin as incense during funeral rites, for ease of transition. It is said that placing a piece of the plant under the mattress cures impotency. It is also added to love sachets and spells to give greater potency of other herbs for magick and rituals when blended together.

Dragon Dust

1 ounce Dragon’s Blood resin (you can grind up Dragon’s Blood incense to use in place of the resin if you don’t have any, but the resin will be more powerful)

½ teaspoon Frankincense powder

½ teaspoon Benzoin powder

1 teaspoon Sandalwood powder

¼ teaspoon Myrrh powder

1 tiny Seashell

A pinch of Sea Salt (regular salt will work fine, but sea salt will be more powerful)

¼ teaspoon Cinnamon (fresh grated is best, but not necessary)

¼ teaspoon dried Marigold petals

¼ teaspoon dried Mugwort

¼ teaspoon dried Mint

¼ teaspoon dried Yarrow petals

1 or 2 small pieces of Jade, Agate, Quartz, or Lapis Lazuli

Red or White candle

Mortar and pestle

- Using a mortar and pestle, grind the plant ingredients together. To this base, add the crystals and seashell for your specific need. you can also add any essential oil you wish. When done, place the dust in a small glass jar or bottle. If possible, find a bottle colored the same as the dust’s purpose. Light a white or red candle before mixing the dust, drip the candle wax to seal the bottle.

Dragons: Offerings

Dragon Magic is a very hard topic to find resources for, and therefore, it can be extremely difficult to find specific offerings for them. However, if you know more about the kind of dragon and its potential clan or elemental classifications, you can find even more distinct and personal offerings.

Offerings are never a necessary thing, and neither is working with any kind or form of spirit. Although offerings are incredibly helpful in displaying faith and appreciation if you wish to or currently do maintain a partnership with a Dragon

Below are an assortment of concepts of offerings that most general dragons would enjoy, ranging from free to costly ideas. I truly hope this is beneficial for those who desire information on this topic. Feel free to use this for other spirits if desired.

Artwork:

Dragons often appreciate any form of art from any medium, especially about them. There is no bad form of art. Examples include carvings, illustrations, painting, reading, sculpting, sewing, sketching, and writing.

Crystals:

Although dragons love any stone to gem, there are shapes they enjoy as well. Shapes such as dragons, eggs, palm stones, skulls, and spheres. Specific gems they generally enjoy (from my experience) are Apophyllite, Dragon’s Bloodstone, Labradorite, Petrified Wood, Selenite. and Quartz.

Decorative:

Artwork, crystals, dragon statues, flowers or herbs, sea shells, skull figurines, or magical instruments even can always serve as a decorative offering (especially if you use it in rituals for or with them.)

Divination:

Not only is Divination one of the only ways to communicate with Dragons, but it is one of their favored forms of spell casting. Methods range from Astral Travel, to Meditations, Osteomancy, Pendulums, Rune casting, Tarot Readings, and Tasseomancy.

Instrumental:

In my personal experiences, I’ve found Dragons quite enjoy the sound of classical music, cackling fires, strummed harps, Hertz frequencies, meditation music, thunderstorms, running water, and heavy winds.

Knowledge:

There are very few things Dragons appreciate more than the pursuit of knowledge and traits of intelligence. Researching alongside them, or the topic of Dragons directly, is a phenomenal offering if you desire to please them.

Spell Work:

You will often find that if you work with Dragons, they will more often then not be willing or even desire to join you in hands on magic and spell work. Dragons can immensely amplify the energies or even give suggestions if you just ask them.

The Dragon's Claw: An Exercise for Dragon Magic

A few paths of dragon magic will have the practitioner make use of some sort of tool with the purpose of directing and manipulating energy/intent/will/what-have-you: usually a staff or a blade of some kind. But what would a dragon use for the same purpose? Well, the perfect equivalent is at hand… literally.

It's not so different from some techniques in modern witchcraft that have you use your finger in place of a wand/blade for those who practice on the down-low. In fact, it's heavily similar, in that at its most basic, the only tool required is your finger(s) and some visualization/energy work. If you do want to get fancy with it, you can utilize some sort of claw-like adornments as a physical component, be it naturally long nails, acrylic nails shaped like claws, those gardening gloves with the claws on them for digging, or some of those claw rings from the edgy mall shops that were popular a while back (or if you were like me in middle school, wasting a couple rolls of scotch tape to make long tape claws on each finger and coloring them with sharpie). Point is, the physical claws are simply a fun option: the meat of this is more energetic.

I also do want to preface this: while this is ideal for dragonkin, it can technically be used by anyone.

So, how do we do this?

To start, you need to approximate the feel of claws in some way: those physical components I mentioned were optional can help with this, but curling your fingers like you’re about to rip someone's soft vital bits out also helps. If you’re the sort that experiences ‘phantom claws’ as a natural phenomenon, that’s what we’re attempting to induce. If you practice any sort of body energy awareness (ie. Robert Bruce’s NEW energy techniques are good for this, if you’re unfamiliar), you can use this to project your energy beyond your fingertips for a sort of energetic claw extension. If you regularly work with dragons and have a good relationship, you can try asking them to lend you their claws in a sense. You can even create a chant to help you focus (“My will is iron, my word is law, magic flows from dragon’s claw.” or anything you like) In any case, the specific method you use to ‘feel’ claws isn’t as important as the end result. If you can sense them, that’s the point.

Now, you can basically use your fingers/claws for much the same magical purposes as you would a blade, minus sharp physical cutting (though if you did opt for the physical accoutrement and it’s capable of it, it’ll add a decent dragony boost to anything you carve into a candle or other softer materials).

Examples: cutting energetic threads or doorways (creation thereof), magical defense/attack, drawing of sigils and ritual circles, etc. If you can think of other uses, feel free to try them out and see how it works.

Once done with this, you can expel this energetic augment a few ways: by shaking your hands, like you’re shaking water off of them, with the intention of the energy dissipating; by drawing the energy back into the rest of your body; or just let them fade on their own. For those who normally experience phantom claws, well, no worries for you! It’s business as usual.

Candle Magic Beyond Colors

Candle Magic Beyond Colors

A lot of people talk about color correspondences with candles, but a candle's potential in magic runs way deeper than that! Here's a list of things I don't see people mention as much:

Loading a Candle

Carve out a small hole in the bottom of the candle and stuff it with herbs, a name, whatever else you want to "fill" the candle with.

Carvings

Etch sigils, symbols, names, and other things into the candle before burning! (I like the idea of writing my problems/worries onto the candle then watching as they burn and melt away.)

Dressing a Candle

Much like loading a candle, mix your herbs in an oil or have a pre-made magical oil ready to cover your candle in before lighting.

Reversals

Chop off the top of the candle, flip it upside down, and carve a new wick out of the bottom (now top.) This is a good way to inverse its symbolism!

Shape of Candle/Container

Not all candles are little cylenders. Candles shaped like pyramids, spheres, hearts, skulls, or animals can all have those correspondences taken into account as well.

Life of the Flame

Some candles are meant to only burn for a short period of time then be blown out. (Like birthday candles.) Others are meant to burn continuously over multiple days (like yahrzeit candles or seven-day candles.) Others can be lit or extinguished as you please. Which one makes the most sense for your goals?

Burning or Beacon?

A candle flame is a light in the darkness, drawing things near. It's also literal fire which can burn away whatever it touches. Which one is your candle trying to do, burn out something undesired or serve as a beacon for what you DO desire? Plan accordingly.

Read the Wax

Always a classic, you can read the shapes made from the wax once the spell is complete to get a gage of how things went/are going. Followup information is always good and can tell you a lot!!

Self-Love Herbal Tea

This was a tea I intended to upload around valentine's day. I recommend making a big batch and drinking it every Friday (the day of Venus). I keep mine in a mason jar, dated and labeled.

Ingredients:

• Rose (for enhancing beauty, attraction, passion, sex, increase confidence, open your heart to healing)

• Lavender (for anxiety surrounding loving yourself, protecting the inner child, peace & harmony, attracts self-love)

• Jasmine (for bringing the affirmations to life, heighten attractiveness & seeing the beauty within yourself, luck with love)

• Damiana (for sexual passion, lust, attracting love, makes you aware of your emotions)

• A pinch of cinnamon (adding this boosts spellwork around love & lust, success around your goal, motivation to love yourself, deep inner healing, protection)

• Honey (to sweeten yourself, attraction, to make the intentions stick)

The herbs are in equal ratio - one part each. After boiling water in your kettle, drink intentionally for however many cups you desire. Stir in the cinnamon and honey, drawing a self-love sigil. I recommend creating your own. Speak positive self-love affirmations as you sip on this, aloud or in your head. I find this to be amplified. If there are parts of your body you find difficult loving, say affirmations that entice love for them and why.

*Please remember, as with any herbal tea, that if you have medical conditions to check with your doctor to make sure this doesn't interact with medications. There are herbs in this tea that you should not take while pregnant.

Phoenix Ash

This ritual creates a ceremonial ash that can be used for a variety of purposes. It is a useful component for spells of elemental fire, healing, and ritual purification.

Needed:

• A square of paper, decorated on only one side (origami paper is ideal)

• Pen and ink

• Essential oil of frankincense or cinnamon

• Matches

• A heat proof bowl or cauldron

• An envelope or container to store your ashes

Instructions:

On the blank side of the paper, draw a sigil for the intent of the working(s). If the ash is to be for general us, use an intent such as, 'lend power to my work'. Fold the paper, decorated side out, into an origami crane. Anoint with the oil and place in the heat proof bowl, then ground and center yourself, focus on your intent. Finally, when you are ready, burn the paper to ash. When the ash is cool, gather into an envelope or container.

Fetches, Familiars, and Fylgjur

Fetches, Familiars, And Fylgjur

These titles have seemed to have been blurred or the meaning completely lost in modern day because they are conflated to mean the same thing when they are not the same things at all. So this post is gonna clear all that up.

Fetches:

A fetch is in Irish and English folklore, the term for one’s Double, an apparition of a living person. The fetch is also called a “co-walker” in England. Seeing a fetch is a sign of ill-boding, although in Irish lore, to see a fetch in the morning means one will have a long life. When seen at night, however, the fetch is believed to foretell a person’s death.

Fetches are seen by persons with clairvoyant ability, or by friends or family of the living person just prior to, or at the moment of, that person’s death. As such, the fetch is the equivalent of certain crisis apparitions, a term applied in psychical research and parapsychology. Sometimes the fetch is witnessed by the person who is to die several days or weeks prior to his or her death. As such, it is similar to the Germanic doppelgänger and to some conceptions of the British wraith. Francis Grose associated the term with Northern England in his 1787 Provincial Glossary, but otherwise it seems to have been in popular use only in Ireland.

Corresponding to its contemporary prominence in "national superstitions", the fetch appeared in Irish literature starting in early 19th century. "The fetch superstition" is the topic of John and Michael Banim's Gothic story "The Fetches" from their 1825 work Tales by the O'Hara Family and Walter Scott used the term in his Letters on Demonology and Witchcraft, published in 1830, in a brief reference to "his … fetch or wraith, or double-ganger".

Familiars:

Familiars are (usually animal) spirits that can guide us and aid our magical practice and rituals. They can appear in the form of animals we are partial to and will change their form to be a more comforting animal for us.

In European folklore of the medieval and early modern periods, familiars (sometimes referred to as familiar spirits) were believed to be supernatural entities that would assist witches and cunning folk in their practice of magic. According to records of the time, those alleging to have had contact with familiar spirits reported that they could manifest as numerous forms, usually as an animal, but sometimes as a human or humanoid figure, and were described as "clearly defined, three-dimensional… forms, vivid with colour and animated with movement and sound", as opposed to descriptions of ghosts with their "smoky, undefined form[s]".

When they served witches, they were often thought to be malevolent, but when working for cunning folk they were often considered benevolent (although there was some ambiguity in both cases). The former were often categorized as demons, while the latter were more commonly thought of and described as fairies. The main purpose of familiars was to serve the witch or young witch, providing protection for them as they came into their new powers.

Since the 20th century some magical practitioners, including adherents of the Neopagan religion of Wicca, use the concept of familiars, due to their association with older forms of magic. These contemporary practitioners use pets or wildlife, or believe that invisible versions of familiars act as magical aids.

(familiars are almost NEVER physical, so that cat you adopted from the shelter is almost certainly not your familiar. I have only ever seen one physical familiar in my entire life and it is an EXCEEDINGLY rare circumstance)

Fylgja:

Fylgjur (plural of Fylgja) (pronounced "feel-hyur" & "feel-hya" respectively) are supernatural guardian spirits, bound to a family line, who are said to accompany a person throughout life. Like many concepts in Norse mythology, the Fylgja is sometimes hard to comprehend or explain.

Fylgja, translated from Old Norse, means "someone that accompanies". They can appear in two ways.

The first is an animal form, which can be described as an extension of an aspect or characteristic of a particular family. They seem to embody the spirit, and guide the one they choose, or work deeds for them.

Maria Kvilhaug translated and summarised Professor Else Mundal's academic paper on the topic, “Fylgjemotiva i norrøn litteratur” (Fylgjur Motifs in Norse Literature):

"The animal fylgja motif is sometimes blended with the húgr-motif. [Húgr (masculine singular) means “intent”, “desire”, “thought”, “soul”, “heart” and seems to have been a part of the human soul that could move outside of the body in animal shape]. Manna hugir ["the intents of men"] sometimes replace the term manna fylgjor [the “followers” of men] and usually then appear in the shape of wolves. Wolves, being associated with fierce passion and desire (or greed and hunger) are closely connected to the húgr. The other animals appear as manna fylgjor."

The second description from “Fylgjemotiva i norrøn litteratur” explains how Fylgjur are female entities. They act as a guardian for a family, and attach themselves to an individual at birth, following through the generations down a certain lineage. They are likely to represent an ancestral mother. We know that the mothers were celebrated, with female ancestral spirits being described as "Dísir" (meaning "Ladies"). These female spirits are bound to a family of which they are matriarchal ancestors, and can be both benevolent or malevolent.

In the Anglo-Saxon and later English superstitions, an animal Fylgja became known as a fetch. Whether this was originally the same creature that appears in Icelandic literature, or whether this is a similar concept, it is hard to tell. A fetch in the British witchcraft tradition is an animal spirit, or living animal, that would allow its "owner" to travel with it or send it on errands for magical workings or spirit travel.

It is more common for us to see the witch's fetch depicted as a familiar; a physical animal that aids the practitioner in her works. Many folk tales describe how these animals might also be the witch transformed, and physical injuries suffered by the animal matching those of the witch once she is restored to human form. This shape-shifting also appeared as a Norse concept.

In modern reconstructed Heathen spirituality, a Fylgja can be seen as an attendant female spirit or animal, which may visit you in dreams, or appear if you are practising Seiðr, trance-working, or going on a spirit journey. People sometimes feel that their Fylgja has run on ahead of them when travelling in a physical sense.

How to use Celestial Energies and the Elements of the Periodic Table to magically charge your items or The Periodic Spell of Elemental Items.

Things needed

·        Object to be charged

·        Paper to write the sigil on.

·        Pen, pencil or marker to make the sigil.

·        Starmap or a starmap app.

Preparation

1) On paper make the sigil* of the element you using based on the periodic table.

*The sigil of the element you choose is basically an atom diagram with electron shell of the atom with dots representing the nucleus and the electrons of the element.

image

 2) Write your intention between the spots that reparent the electrons in the electron shells.

Ex: Using the element Aluminum as an example you would write the things you want to invoke in your object that you assonate with the element you are working with. Aluminum is assorted with Preservation, Self-Preservation, Protection, Discipline and Self-Discipline.

image

3) Place the object you want to charge in the center of the sigil (atom).

4) Pick the celestial body you want to work with.

5) Using a sky map locate where that celestial body is in the sky so you can draw down the energies from the celestial body.

Casting

1)     Focus on the celestial body you want to harness energy from.

2)     Meditate on your intent.

3)     Imagine a trail of stardust/starlight coming from the sky where the celestial body you are working with is located enter your body through the top of your head, and vibrating throughout your body and being.

4)     Once you feel a warm tingly sensation, focus your hands on the sigil and the object on top of the sigil.

5)     Visualize the energy accumulating into the sigil and the object on top of the sigil at the same time.

6)     When you are done charging the sigil and the object let the charging of the object continue from the energy from the sigil. This will give you the energy from the element as well as the intention going toward your chosen object.

7)     When you feel that your object is completely charged, you can now use it.

8)     After accumulating the energy of the celestial object and focusing the energy to charge the sigil and object ground yourself completely.

*Caution!!!*

When choosing your celestial body, you want to harness energy from, be aware of what celestial body you call upon. The following celestial bodies have extreme and very powerful energies that should be used with extra caution and care, otherwise your body should overload.

·        Supernovas

·        Novas

Free mini tarot readings are open!

Free Mini Tarot Readings Are Open!

What they are: I am going to pull. one tarot card for your question to give you insight on your situation.

How it works: I pull tarot cards with the help of my spirit guides to intuitively pick the best card for your question.

Rules: One question only, please! Add your initials and star sign if you feel comfortable doing so. If you reblog, you will get a higher chance of getting an answer. I cannot guarantee answers due to some energy blockages that may arise.

Readings: Message me to request a full tarot reading! If your question needs a lot of in depth analysis, it is better to have multiple cards drawn for you. I can work with you on the pricing. If you can only afford a five dollar reading, we will work with it! I will get back to you with your reading within 24 hours of your purchase.

I have been reading tarot cards for over ten years now, and my interpretation skills are advanced. I read parties as well as individuals, in person and online. I look forward to reading you, free or privately! Please consider tipping me here
