My Mom who’s been our cornerstone since the death of our dad(I was a kid) has been fighting ovarial cancer. We’ve done everything possible to beat the cancer until few months ago when we got a news that it has affected her kidney. She told us to let her die, but we are not giving up on her- she celebrated her birthday a few days ago- where a lot of people on tumblr sent their well wishes and good will messages. We turned all the messages and wishes into a blanket for her and that act made her want to live again. She said she’s ready to fight for the random strangers that believed in her. Now she needs a Ureteral Stent Placement surgery and she’s ready to fight, but we, on the other hand, can’t afford to get the surgery done at the moment as we need at least $1200 to what we already have to begin the surgery. It’s more than a week after her birthday (Sept. 11) and her fighting spirit is starting to dwindle. We need all the support we can get before she reverts to her dying state of mind.
