As I read this post, my mind right away went to this one-shot story.

Blessed be all the authors on ao3 who did and still do such a crazy work to fill the holes left by Yashahime, which is even too much kind a thing to say, given that Yashahime is a huge pointless hole in itself.

Oh this got me thinking….

I cannot WAIT for Towa to meet Sesshomaru and Rin.  Beautiful Sesshomaru, with his flowered robes and long, silky hair.  Sesshomaru with his natural eye-makeup and face markings and long nails.  Sesshomaru who is completely sexy fabulous with his fur thrown over his shoulder but who is also a fierce, manly warrior is not going to give one damn about gender roles. 

Rin, who grew up as a complete outcast, who for much of her young life said to hell with living like a regular human, who if she is indeed the mother (she is), clearly gave up life in Kaede’s village and bucked all expectations for a human peasant girl by marrying and bearing the children of a powerful yokai, do you think she cares if her daughter wears pants and gets in fights?  She will not.

I cannot wait for Towa to meet her dad and have him tell her the most beautiful words of all:  “Do as you please.”
