A study session from the other day! You know I gotta glamorize it to make it appear worth while-
hello,i am from China,my hometown is in Shanghai.I am glad to see you.
你好,我来自中国上海很高兴认识你。
I wanna to have some friends on tumblr to help me study English. And I can help you in Chinese.thanks you!
我想要在tumblr上找一些学习英语的搭子,或者说找一个可以帮助我学英语的人。我可以在学习中文上帮助你。谢谢!
Of course! Please dm me and we can talk

Due to unforseen circumstances, today's study session may be a little delayed...

Hello hello!
Today's Chinese lesson is on some of the most common Chinese phrases; today specifically looking at some common expressions and sayings!
I should be posting more soon enough, however my energy levels are quite low at the moment so we'll see.
Study hard everyone! We can do this!<3
Oh wow, that actually sounds really interesting!! I'm gonna watch it very soon, heheheh
I've just been diagnosed with chronic fatigue and for the past weeks I've just been so tired that doing some of the most simple things feel exhausting. I'm letting you know this out of frustration that I haven't been able to keep up with my chinese studies as much as I'd like to because of this fatigue. I think doing something more simple like watching some cdramas would be a better alternative to hard core study. I've never watched any asian dramas before but heard they can be helpful for language learning so I'm open for some recommendations!
Pls DM me or just lmk in the comments if you have any drama recs.
Love you all!<3<3

this is definitely not the link to a google drive with free mandarin chinese practice books, definitely not
Epic story idea:
The main character dies. Not of a tragic, heroic, or self-sacrificial death or anything. Just dies of choking on their fucking sandwich or something at 7-Eleven.

AYO! It's the final part of the "Most common Chinese characters" series! Here are the final 50, but I used to pen with awful ink for the hanzi this time so please lmk if you want me to redo it-
Don't give up, we've got this!<3<3<3

I have recognized the beginnings of a new favorite literary niche: cat manga in Chinese

I already own two, and someone has just recommended a third one to me as well

These are 40 of the most common chinese characters
螺髻九十九里 - ( Luó jì jiǔshíjiǔlǐ )
四川省凉山彝族自治州普格县境内景点 - ( Sìchuān shěng liángshān yízú zìzhìzhōu pǔ gé xiàn jìngnèi jǐngdiǎn )

螺髻九十九里 luo-ji-jiu-shi-jiu-li, hot spring waterfall, liangshan, sichuan province.
My hand: is itchy
Me: (scratching everywhere but somehow not getting it) Where?
My hand: wouldn't you like to know? (;
Today I learned something in the Chinese language that I think is pretty cool.
凹 means concave,
凸 means convex,
And then 凹凸 means bump/irregular as in an uneven/rough road. What I find cool about this is that each character matches its meaning in shape and that the translation to them is so literal.
Maybe it's just me who thinks this, but yeah, I think it's really fascinating for some reason that there are so many words similar by nature to these in the Chinese language!

Here are just a couple of Chinese Mandarin notes on some kitchen vocab
I used to get super confused by these when I started learning Mandarin, but I promise it gets easier every day if we keep practicing!
书 vs. 本子 – Books
Another little differences I was taught by Yoyo this week!
书 / 書 / shū / book; full-length
本子 / běn zi / book; short, a few pages
Examples:
书 = novellas/novels, textbooks, dictionaries
本子 = menus (菜谱 and 菜单), notebooks
I find this very educational and insightful.
Creating situations and conditions
English added by me :)
