Y/n heard the front door slam to her villa and she knew something must of happened to piss him off. Considering he had been gone all night and it was now pushing 4 am, anything could of happened.

“What happened?” she asked not turning to look at him but continued to poor him and herself a drink.

“Nothing.” he grumbled as he came more into the room.

Y/n tilted her head at his response. “It must of been something. You slammed the door.”

“They just won’t back off.” Nick growled raising his voice another octave.

“An it seems they kicked your ass.” Y/n stated as she turns to look at him head to toe. It took everything in her to not rush him to the bathroom and play nurse.

“Actually that would be your father's doing.” he stated shrugging off his jacket, wincing in the process. He left his jacket on the nearby chair before heading over closer to her.

Y/n looked down ashamed of her father’s actions towards the man she loves. Her father has never been a very kind, caring, or loving man. Hell, he has abused her most of her life, in so many different ways. Till Nick. He became her safe haven, and her his.

“Hey, I don’t put his actions on you.” Nick looked at her noticing the look in her eyes, so he moved forward lifting his arms up to cup her cheeks. Lifting her head so he could get her to look him in the eyes as he spoke before he leaned down to kiss her.

Y/n gave him a grateful smile before moving her arms to wrap around his neck. “It won’t be long now before you can kill him and we both will be free.”

Nick nodded brushing back her hair from falling in her face. “I promise it’ll be soon.”

Y/n smiled up at him, she didn’t think she could love him any more than she does now but he always surprises her. “I trust you.”

“Where’s Y/n?” Kylo questioned walking onto the bridge heading towards Hux.

Kylo Ren and Y/n were parameters, both apprentices of Supreme Leader Snoke. Y/n just followed Kylo, having been training with Luke before. Y/n had been an orphan and Luke took her to the temple since even at a young age she has been very strong with the force. As much as it hurt to leave Luke she didn’t have anything or anyone. With the jedi order gone where would she have gone? What would she have done? Leaving with her best friend she had always had a crush on seemed like her only option to not be alone. Y/n doesn’t want to use the force for evil, Kylo knows how much she hurt’s on the inside when they do have to use the force for some awful things. So he normally took the lead when it came to those things. Not long after going under Snoke, the two had gotten together. After all, that is allowed on the Dark Side. So when she didn’t show up to training he went asking Hux. For a reason he’ll never understand Y/n is friends with Hux.

“Infirmary last I checked.” Hux huffed out very annoyed that he was being interrupted.

“Why?” Kylo asked through his ever-growing damaged mask. Kylo knew he was annoying Hux but that was just a plus to him. But he also figured if he knew where she was then he might know why.

“Why don’t you ask her? She’s your partner and your bedfellow, isn’t she? You should know things about her but it seems you’re the last to know anything about her. Maybe even one of the biggest things.” Hux told him off, leaving Kylo to stand on the control bridge alone.

With his newfound information, Kylo headed to the infirmary. But once he got there they had informed him that she had been discharged and left about 30 minutes before he had got there. So he headed back to where he knew she probably would’ve gone. Their shared room.

When he entered their room there she was sitting criss-cross on the bed in one of his undershirts.

“Hey.” She greeted him but the expression on his face made her ask. “What’s wrong?”

“Why were you in the infirmary?” Was the first thing he asked after some silence. He decided to just get right to the point. Taking off his helmet and lightsaber.

“Always the straight shooter.” Y/n shook her head letting out a light laugh. Hoping to distract him with a  change of subject.

“Why were you there? What happened?” Kylo pushed, not wanting to drop the subject like Y/n hoped.

“I’m fine.” She shrugged smiling at him showing it wasn’t a big deal. But Kylo could see her smile wasn’t reaching her eyes.

“That’s not what I asked.” he said as he stepped forward, closer to the bed. Kylo moved to sit down across from her but not to far since he was concerned about her. He tilted his head before asking. “Why don’t you want to tell me?”

Y/n sighed slumping her shoulders defeated looking down to her lap. There was no keeping it from him now. “I don’t want to be defined by it.”

“Have I ever defined you by anything about you or something you’ve done?” Kylo said it almost as if it was a challenge. Y/n knew he was right.

Y/n let out a sigh and started to nervously ring her fingers together. She took a deep breath before looking up to look him in the eyes. “I have a heart condition. My heart doesn’t beat like yours.”

Kylo just sat there thinking for a moment before asking. “How long?”

Y/n shrugged shaking her head. “Since forever really. ALl y life. It’s a heart murmur.”

“Why haven’t you told me before?” Kylo asked having a lot of questions running through his head. Y/n could see the concern growing in his eyes.

“I didn’t want to be viewed as weak or vulnerable.” She spoke softly not wanting to be having this conversation and worried to know his thoughts on the matter.

“Your to strong and determined to be considered either of those.” Kylo stated scooting closer to her on the bed, grabbing her hands in his.

Y/n blushed at his stare and words, they made her feel better. Which was his goal. Kylo never liked to see her down or nervous. Then after getting her to laugh and relax, he had just thought of something he wanted to ask her.

“Can I listen?” he asked her trying not to show just how curious he truly is.

“Huh?” Y/n tilted her head at his question not understanding what he meant.

“To your heart. Can I listen?” Kylo smiled at her dumbfounded look that crossed her face. So he elaborated with a smile.

“Uh-yeah. If you want to.” Y/n stuttered out, she didn’t mind him listening to it. Not at all. He was starting to understand and that meant the world to her.

With her permission to listen Kylo went ahead and leaned his head against her chest to listen to her heart murmur. It didn’t take long for him to hear it. Once he did she was right it was slightly different than a normal heartbeat sound. But he found it oddly soothing and he liked that he would be the only one to ever hear it.

“You know what I enjoy?” he asked her with a slight smirk on his lips as he moved back to look her in the eyes.

“Well, you only enjoy a few things so please enlighten me?” She was very curious about his answer.

“I enjoy how unique the sound of your heart is. It’s different and soothing.” Kylo stated starring her right in the eyes as he told her.

Which made her heart melt. If she knew this would’ve been his reaction she would’ve told him a long time ago. But he’s just so unpredictable. Grateful for his words and actions she pulled him into a kiss that turned slowly into more. It was a moment that words could not describe between the two.

Summary: Y/n and Bruce have that talk about her having her own room in the compound/Tower.

Authors Note: This was one of the ideas I listed and someone in my inbox also agreed. Hope you all like it. Yes, I write Bruce and the reader's relationship as an awkward one because I see this as something that wouldn't be normal for Bruce Banner and obviously it gonna be alittle weird for the reader.

“Hey, how’s your week been?” Bruce asked as Y/n sat down across from him. They had agreed to meet up at a small cafe near the tower.

“It's been good. Have a dance coming up.” Y/n smiled nodding. She still got a little anxious around Bruce. The situation was still new.

“That's great. You going with Peter?” he asked curious to know.

“Yeah.” Y/n nodded her cheeks blushing.

“So you know how we talked about becoming closer and more like father and daughter?” Bruce sounded like he was rambling but Y/n got it.

“Yeah, what about it?” Y/n nodded with questioning eyes.

Bruce nodded before taking a deepbreath and continuing. “Well, I was thinking maybe you could stay at the tower some nights so we could spend more time together. Tony said he could give you your own room to make your own and it would stay yours. You could come over anytime you want.”

“So I could stay over sometimes and we could spend more time together?” Y/n asked for clarification. Just to make sure she heard it right.

“Yes. Look Y/n I want us to get closer, bond more but I don’t want to take you from May and Peter. That's not my intention. Ever. I promise.” Bruce told her with pleading eyes.

“They're my family too.” Y/n stated looking down at the tea she had ordered before sitting down. May and Peter were her family. That would never change. But she did want Bruce, Nat, and the rest of the Avengers to become her family too.

“I know.” he nodded, Bruce understood that they know her better and have known her longer. He can’t change that.

Y/n watched bruce for a moment before she made up her mind. “I’d like that. The room and bonding more thing. I’d like that.”

Bruce smiled nodding he was very relieved. “Great.”

“So how’s it feel to be back on Earth?” Nat asked the youngest Odionson who was currently sitting at the breakfast bar in the Avengers compound kitchen. It had been a while since Y/n, Thor, and Loki had been to visit. And truthfully Natasha had missed the youngest Odionson. Y/n had missed her as well, the two having had become like sisters over the years.

“Awesome. I missed it here. Missed you guys.” Y/n smiled at the redhead and then to the others in the room. Y/n and Thor both love Earth and the Avengers are family to them.

“Well, we have a new addition to the compound that you only have met briefly before.” Tony stated telling the girl across from him, but by his tone, it sounded more like a warning.

“Who?” Y/n asked, tilting her head in a curious manner.

Before Tony could answer with a snide comment about the man in question Steve spoke up. “An old friend of mine.”

“Is it that guy- uh- Barnes? Wasn’t it?” Y/n snapped her fingers trying to remember.

“Yeah. How’d you know?” Steve asked with a confused expression about how she could have known that.

Y/n pointed towards the redheaded woman. “Nat took me to the museum about you and your team back then.”

“When did she take you there?” Steve asked slightly embarrassed. Of course, Natasha would take her to that museum.

“Nat shrugged her shoulders unaffected by caps stare, taking a sip of her drink. “Last time she was here.”

Y/n waved her hand towards Steve to get his attention. “So where is this Barnes? If I remember correctly he was pretty handsome.” She asked curiously.

Steve smiled at the goddess, he couldn’t help but think maybe someone else will be on Bucky’s side. “You’ll meet him later today.”

“You know what I’m also excited for? Last time I was here I heard of a holiday called Valentine’s day. That’s today right?” Y/n smiled bouncing in her seat. Wanda and Natasha nodded to answer her question, they had been the ones that told Y/n all about the holiday they celebrate on earth. Needless to say, it intrigued the young woman.

“What’s this Valentine's day?” Loki asked from his spot leaning against the far wall of the living room.

“Oh, brother it’s this lovely holiday here where people find love and get together if you know what I’m saying.” Thor smiled widely at their brother. He had celebrated a few Valentines day’s with Jane before while on Earth. Of course, the others jumped in to tell Lokie it wasn’t just about what Thor was implying.

While everyone was talking about Valentine’s day which did in fact happen to be today Steve went to go tell Bucky that he’ll be meeting someone new later in the day.

“Hey.” Steve spoke standing with his hands in his pockets in Bucky’s doorway.

“Hey, Punk.” BUcky greeted looking up from where he sat on his bed tying his boots. “What's up?”

“Well Thor and Loki are back and they brought their sister. You haven’t met her before but you will later. Just wanted to warn you.” Steve told him. He thought Bucky should know that there was someone he hadn’t met in the compound.

Bucky nodded appreciating the heads up. “Does she have any powers like them?”

Steve nodded in confirmation. “Yeah, she controls elements. Mainly one’s that involve heat. Fire, Lave, etc.”

Bucky nodded acknowledging that he heard him and in thanks for the information. It wasn’t but an hour or two later that Bucky and Steve joined the group back in the common room.

It didn’t take but one long look for Bucky to notice the new face in the room. “Who is that?”

Steve looked in the direction Bucky was looking in. “That’s who I was telling you about. Y/n Odionson.”

“That’s Thor and Loki’s sister?” Bucky raised his brows looking at her.

“That's the one.” Steve nodded

“She is. . . “

“What Buck?” Steve asked turning his head in his friend's direction.

“She’s gorgeous.” Bucky stated gulping. He hadn’t felt this way since before everything.

“She is very beautiful.” Steve had to agree, the girl is a literal goddess. He turned his head in a quick snap towards his friend with a shocked expression. “Wait a minute. Bucky, are you-”

Bucky nodded with his mouth still agape. “Punk, I think I-”

“Hey! You must be Barnes. I’m y/n.” Y/n introduced herself holding out her hand. Even though she cut off the super soldiers' conversation she hadn’t heard any of it. Which gave Bucky some sense of relief.

“It’s uh, nice to meet you. You can call me Bucky.” Bucky reached out to shake her hand as he looked at her more closely. He didn’t think it to be possible but she was even more beautiful up close.

“Bucky. That's from your middle name, right?” she smiled repeating his name before asking about it.

“Yeah, it is.” he nodded answering her question even though he was pleasantly shocked about her having known that.

Steve looked between the two and could read that they didn’t need him. So he patted Bucky on his shoulder and gave Y/n a smile and left the two alone.

“So my sister and your friend with the metal arm?” Thor hummed as Steve came to stand next to him and Loki. Thor had watched the whole exchange between James and his sister before Steve left them.

“It seems so.” Steve answered as he as well as Thor glanced over to watch Y/n and Bucky move over to the couch to sit.

“I like him. He seems like an honorable man.” Thor smiled taking a gulp of his drink.

“He is.” Steve nodded.

Loki rolled his eyes at his brother and the star spangled man. “He’s a trained killed. Is that who you want our baby sister to be with?”

Steve let out a sigh and had an annoyed look in his eyes. Turning to face the long black haired trickster. “Loki, he’s changed. Wakanda fixed what HYDRA did to him. Besides he didn’t have a choice when he killed all those people. Unlike you.”

With that, Steve gave Thor a tight smile before heading over to chat with Nat and Clint. Leaving the brothers to chat amongst themselves.

“The stars and striped man is right brother. Besides, look how happy they both seem.” Thor stated as they both glanced over to their sister.

Loki scoffs. “Yeah, till she realizes who he was and what he’s done.”

At least that's what Loki would like to happen but even he knew that was not likely. Y/n didn’t care about things like that, she wouldn’t care about Bucky’s past. She cared about who he is on the inside.

“Brother at least he could protect her better than any other mortal.” Thor countered.

“A single redeeming factor.” Loki grumbled shaking his head. No one was ever going to be good enough for his little sister.

“Strong, kind, protective, handsome- not as handsome as me but that’s to be expected.” Thor smiled shrugging his shoulders.

“Ever the modest one.” Loki rolled his eyes as he said his ever so sarcastic comment.

“Oh always.” Thor smiled oblivious to the fact it wasn’t a compliment.

“So I take it your onboard with the metal arm as well? He’s attached to a piece of machinery. And an exassaisn.” Loki turned his head to face Thor instead of watching his sister, closely.

“An you wear horns. Besides from what my friend Rabbit says that arm is cable of extraordinary things.” Thor smiled at Loki giving him an amused look.

“Oh I’m sure.” Loki spoke completely annoyed at the conversation and situation.

Thor nudged Loki, a little to hard. “Lighten up brother. He could be good for her after everything they both have been through. Besides, it’s Valentine's day.”

Loki had to admit he hadn’t seen Y/n that happy in years. She really did look really really happy. Maybe he could be good for her.

Later that day, well it was night now. Most of the Avengers were out at dinner with their wives or dates. Some were still at the compound. Y/n and Bucky had talked practically all day. Nothing could separate the two of them. Not till they both got hungry and Bucky suggested that they should pick up some take out. Y/n nodded and went to talk to her brothers before they leave, having sensed them watching.

Which gave Steve a moment to talk to Bucky. So he moved to sit across from Buck, trying to hold back his smile. “So, you and Y/n?”

“Punk.” Bucky grumbled but couldn’t keep his face neutral all he could do was let the smile break out across his face.

“Oh, come on tell me.” Steve let out a light laugh. He hadn’t seen Bucky like this since the ’40s. It gave him some relief.

Bucky shook his head laughing happily with a huge smile on his face. Looking Steve in the eye’s he stated. “I think I’m in love.”

“That's great, Buck.” Steve smiled at his best friend. He was happy that Bucky seemed to have found someone. An on Valentine's day of all days.

“So you and Bucky-” Thor started, wiggling his eyebrows ready to tease his little sis but Y/n cut him off.

“Thor-” Y/n whined knowing he was gonna tease her.

“More like her and a trained killer.” Loki cut in. He would tease her to right along with Thor. But Loki was always more protective of Y/n than anyone else. He won’t stop till he’s long dead. For real dead.

“Guys!” Y/n spoke up louder than before stopping both of them before they could say anymore. Looking at both her brothers with love in her eyes and pleading with them. “Please give him a chance. I think I might love him.”

Thor and Loki were silent for a moment before Thor clapped his hands together happily before pulling her into his side. “We will. Won’t we Loki?”

“Hmmmmhmmm.” Loki mumbled in silent agreement. It didn’t mean he wouldn’t be watching James Buchanan Barnes closely.
