At this very moment, my family in Gaza is living under constant threat and indescribable fear. Every second is filled with anxiety and anticipation. Terrifying random bombs rain down from the sky, and the sound of warplanes never fades. They can’t sleep, they can’t find safety, and they can’t escape the terror that surrounds them on all sides.
My loved ones are trapped in a never-ending nightmare, living under the constant threat of destruction. Their streets, once full of life and laughter, are now empty and shattered. There is no electricity, no clean water, and barely any food. They gather together, praying that the next explosion won’t be the one that takes everything away from them.
I can hear the fear in their voices when I speak to them. They try to sound strong, but how can they stay strong when everything they’ve ever known is crumbling before their eyes? How can they hold on to hope when the world around them is falling apart?
Their suffering is real, their pain is unimaginable, and the world cannot turn its back on this tragedy.

Black Thorn: The White Rose & The Rabbit Hole
From denial to hatred. The rabbit hole of conspiracy runs deeper than you may think.
Black Thorn: The White Rose & The Rabbit Hole is the most ambitious project I have ever undertaken, incorporating three months of monitoring, research, writing, and editing.
Detailing the descent into unhinged conspiracy stemming from a "White Rose" anti-lockdown sticker seen while out with a friend, Black Thorn has given me an opportunity to test my skills in investigation, structuring a meandering story within a script, and editing with little to no pre-existing footage.
Black Thorn: The White Rose & The Rabbit Hole has been my most challenging project. In retrospect, it would have been given more justice if I had collaborated with others as this would've allowed for a more detailed interrogation of "The White Rose ideology". But equally, I don't regret undertaking Black Thorn alone.
I hold Black Thorn: The White Rose & The Rabbit Hole up as the best piece of independent work I have yet completed.
