The thing with "Love Like You" (From Steven Universe, for context) its not that its about Pink's love for Blue, or Rose's love for Greg, or Pearl's love for Rose, ite that, it fits every single relationship based in love, in and out of the cartoon.

It always fascinated me how this song fitted every character, every ship, every relationship, and it always resembled me as a song to describe love itself, how to love is to ask "How are you so special, and see me as such too?"

Because its based not only in admiration, but in adoration, in learning how to love yourself as the other does, I dont like the whole "You have to love yourself to someone to love you", I dont think the show intended to give this message, Pink is the message that when loving others truly, you learn to love yourself as others do, she only fighted for her wants when she loved Earth, she only saw the others Gems worth when she saw Garnet, how they can love too.

I dont think you have to love yourself in order to others to love you, you have to learn to love yourself because other people love you too, and you have to see by their eyes how you are, because then you will see how worth of love you are.

Idk this post is a whole mess but i just love this song so much, I always felt this way towards friends and family because of how good I saw them but it was hard to me to do this for me too, the fact you dont love yourself doesnt make you unworthy of someone's else love, simply because it IS hard to love yourself, its not a piece of cake that you'll start abruptly being "Oh im all okay i love myself and everything about me", but its a journey you'll see the worth when learning with others to love you how they do.

i cant stop thinking about how kenny and anthony have a similar arc to johnny and daniel, the only difference is that it was reversed, in a way.

Johnny and Daniel, both kids, Daniel moves in town and meets a girl, who ends up having ties to cobra kai through johnny. They get in some type of rivalry, and he learns karate because of it. He is automatically sick of getting his ass beat

With Kenny and Anthony, its similar. Kenny moves into town, likes a girl, Anthony gets mad because he does too, and just like with soccer, Kenny shows off with basketball. The things he’s interested in are used against him, and eventually he wants to fight back.

One of the main differences though is that Kenny is eventually portrayed as an antagonist, while even though he does similar things to Daniel, hes taught in a way thats considered wrong, and anthony, just like johnny, started it, but anthony is eventually portrayed as a “good guy”
