Elena and Bonnie were Clearly Best Friends and they all treated Caroline lowkey like shit. they kept calling her neurotic and a control freak TO her face. and Matt was doing it when he was DATING her

was she really making it all about herself or was she just really fucking lonely. it was v obvious she was feeling that way well before Elena's parents died. it was obvious Elena was the v Center of the entire friend group and Caroline wasn't as important, ESPECIALLY when Elena's parents died

her friends called her names to her face and behind her back and she was so damn lonely. She was just a girl who had flaws and it's weird how everyone is always ready to slander Caroline, especially Season One Caroline. it seems like no one is willing to look underneath her "neurotic control freakiness" and see that girl was trying so damn hard to hold onto something concrete bec her life was in shambles
