I know I've said this here before but I frequently view Anidala through the lens of WWII marriages. Situations where young soldiers got married after incredibly short courtships, because they were so uncomfortably aware of their own mortality.
There are a lot of war marraiges with the same angle, but WWII is the one that comes to mind due to a specific video I've seen, along with Revolutionary War I guess.
(Similarly to viewing Cliegg/Shmi through the lens of frontier marriages)
Anakin's logic process to me is:
I just lost my arm and very easily could have lost my life. So many of the Jedi did lose their lives. I could die at any moment.
I love Padme and I want to marry her. I do not want to die before I can marry her.
I cannot marry her publicly, because I may have to leave the Jedi, and there are thousands of lives relying on me to remain a Jedi.
If I remain in the war without being a Jedi, I will be less effective.
I cannot wait until after the war to get married and leave the Jedi, because I might be dead by then.
Let's elope.
I don't use this justification in every fic but it's the one that makes the most sense to me.

this planet has me in a death grip
yes its a incredibly diverse galactic cultural hub full of millions of subcultures. yes it has inherent horrific economic disparities. yes it's home to the beacon of light that is the jedi temple and yes it's home to unspeakable political corruption. yes it's a testament to a people's will to live and endure and yes it's a also a testament to a system bent on killing. yes it's a planet all but devoid of it's original landscape and yes it's a habitat to a uniquely adaptive ecosystem that survives despite it all

Coruscant Underworld, Level 1313 for 5.19 To Catch a Jedi
by J.P. Balmet
We were able to work from some of the great stuff the 1313 project was producing at the time, so this was a riff on what they were doing, but reinterpreted for Clone Wars.
Keep the Jedi Out of It
With input from @atagotiak (Tia), @gelpenss (Gel), and @thisarenotarealblog (Doc).
Standard initial premise: Clones take over the Republic after Fox kills Palpatine.
Fun AU Twist: in order to keep people from trying to fuck over the Jedi, and also as a backup because they trust the Jedi to at least try to save them after the initial hubbub goes down, and also as a bit of a vindication for those who don’t like their Jedi… the clones arrest all the Jedi and just keep them in the brigs etc. until they figure out how to break the news to the galaxy that Palpatine was a bigger problem than previously anticipated.
“Why did the Jedi not stop you?” “Great question! We arrested them.” “…all of them?” “Yes.” “On what grounds?” “On ‘they would have stopped us from killing the Chancellor’ grounds.”
“The Jedi couldn’t stop you from arresting them?” “We just kind of told them ‘here, hold this’ and then put the force cuffs on. It was really easy, actually, they trust us way too much, it’s kinda scary. A few of them passed out without the Force to keep them awake and the medics got pissed they hadn’t been sleeping.” “…you’re saying you did this for their own good?” “No, we did it so we could kill the Chancellor.”
