Exactly hopefully we'll get at least a flashback or something in season 3 with a reason with their alliance maybe during the final battle when Waller disappeared Lex was freaking out and doesn't know what to do until Slade comes by tells him to calm down and that they'll figure it out together and claiming they're on the same side cause let's be honest the villains that helped superman don't like Slade he kidnapped them and since Amanda disappeared Slade like "Oh shit I need help and most likely no one going to help me" cause he worked with Waller but that's why I think he goes with lex cause lex has his own company and can help cover him since he has power and to do that he had to convince lex that's they are on the same side and how they should be friends cause Amanda not their to protect them anymore so they need "each other more than anything" but that's just speculation

For all we know they secretly liked each other all along and were just too afraid to admit it I don't know maybe there was an enemies-to-friends storyline they were supposed to put but cut it for time

All I'm saying is it's kind of ( not fully) but kind of makes sense why Slade would go with lex but judging by this picture alone

Lex is stressed about something meanwhile Slade looks healthy as a horse because he has nothing to worry about lex on the other hand has to run a company all by himself and judging by their clothes it looks like a grand opening and most likely Slade going to help him somehow judging by his swords maybe a bodyguard

Sorry if this was really long but i do love both of these characters and hope they get more development next season

lex is such a little twerp, "it's not my fault you asked for an unbeatable army" no but it is your fault you showed up of your own volition and volunteered to create an unbeatable army and kept promising that you would have an unbeatable army, i hope anime slade wilson gets to slap you

I saw a comment about Jimmy attracting nothing but super villains* with parental issues, and now all I think about is Jimmy being the oblivious main character in a shoujo anime.

Tho I'm not big on love-triangles, so maybe they just all date

I was a bit confused too but I kind of like them being friends I just wish we got a little more development from it them just "Oh we survived something dangerous and now we're besties cause Mama Amanda's not here"

Also, I do love the bit where Amanda does show concern for Slade and I honestly believe it's because she saw herself in him as a young soldier who wants to protect his country and will do anything to make that happen especially cause slade claims that Amanda his favorite so she definitely saw that from day one that slade will do anything for her approval

But yeah I was pissed that Lex ran off like a coward wtf these are your robots fix it
