Ello! I saw the helmet you made for the Crash Man cosplay and wondered if you had any tips for making cosplay props or if you could share your process since Iβm planning to make a Proto Man cosplay
Firstly I wanna say I am not an expert !!!
I made that helmet out of paper mache, hot glue, cardboard, and tears
But the advice I do have is to trust the process!
Constantly put on/ wear what your making in between steps so that you know it still fits
(This one is really important)^
Go in with a base before everything, add defining shapes, then small details. Something I struggle with is getting in my head and thinking I can only use one medium to make something (ie dont just use cardboard or foam for everything. Unless it works of course)
Always have a structure so that what your making hold (an example would be the base of a helmet)
Don't set a high expectation of you've never made a prop before! Patience is keyπ₯
I've made props in the past, and they're always made of cheap material. That's not something I recommend, but I also don't shame it
I hope this helps! Good luck on your protoman cosplay (hes my favorite character)!π₯π₯π₯
