maybe it wasn’t written this way, but i will never not believe that something happened between beth and daryl in the time between “still” and “alone” 

like first of all you can just see evidence of time passing when you look at how they’re dressed (it’s clearly fall)

but also their body language and the way they interact with each other was just SO different (holding hands???? piggyback rides?????? CARRYING HER BRIDAL STYLE OVER THE THRESHOLD INTO THEIR NEW HOME???? 

okay maybe i’m being a bit melodramatic with the last one but still

plus you could read daryl’s confession to her as also a confirmation that whatever happened between them meant something to him (but of course, being daryl, he would never say it outright, at least not at that point), because that whole moment just feels very loaded with an unspoken tension 

again i know that’s not how it was written but that is forever how i will see it

I think we need to both bring back and strongly enforce the concept of a miniseries. If you’re making a TV show that’s really a serialised movie doled out in forty-minute instalments, you get five episodes, max; for anything longer, each individual episode is required to have a discernible plot with a beginning, middle and end. You can have one (1) two-parter-with-a-cliffhanger per season if you really must, but only if you’ve been a very good boy.
