In your opinion, what would Peregrine's and Olivia's dynamic be if they met, since Olivia worked as an unspeakable, and has an influence on MC being their teacher?

Oh, that’s a tough but interesting one

Character wise, I think they could get along. They both have/had their mind related problems - Liv’s memory tampered with, Perry’s brain is in shambles as we speak, and there’s a ground for empathy on that. Also, imagine his dad jokes and her awkward comedy meet. Everyone’s gonna cringe out of their body, and Jacob would at least twice. Speaking of whom, if Peregrine gets to know Olivia better he would annoy Jacob to shit about why they aren’t dating yet.

But there’s a nuance of their conflicting occupations of course.

Now, I think Peregrine is, metaphorically speaking - very shortsighted. He dismisses people like Olivia way too easily. Because of his egoistic nature, combined with evil red fart he’s possessed with, he only sees bigger targets, and ignores a bigger picture completely. He had so many opportunities to take various Ministry employees down, but never acted on it. Never constructed a better, more thoughtful plan. Those who aren’t bigger ministry figures just don’t matter in his eyes. All his actions feel like blindly driven only by Ryusaki’s Fury, and while he himself has strong feelings about Ministry after what happened during Wizarding War, he puts zero effort into the whole Taking Ministry Down plan, because it feels so stretched and stupid. He’s just possessed, that’s that.

Olivia has all reasons to hate him. Although, what happened to Duncan could be solely Rakepick’s doing, it doesn’t change the fact that she was working as R, and R should be held accountable for what R’s current or former members have done. Peregrine was quick to excuse and brush off Rowan’s death, where he actually had to say at least something impactful. Doesn’t matter, either take responsibility partially or do something about Rakepick. No. Just excuses not to be associated at all.

I think Olivia is the best person to confront Peregrine about that, if not MC. She had confronted Rakepick, so history might repeat itself. And she has better way with words as well. But also, Olivia would take into account that this is MC’s family, and take into account that he’s not himself, by the most part. So she wouldn’t be driven by just hate.

And Peregrine in this case… He may not take this confrontation seriously as first. But once it gets serious, the last crumbles of common sense could at least make him feel guilty.
