Awake, my dear. Be kind to your sleeping heart. Take it out into the vast fields of Light And let it breathe.

You mistake me.  Or, more likely, I was unclear in my wording.  I wasn't saying that all the deities from the old Iron days (more as in Hesiod's Gold, Silver, Bronze, Iron than the modern term Iron Age) actually WERE war deities -- I was saying that this is what modern mythologists and historians sometimes seem to believe.  Possibly, even, this is what the people of those ancient times believed, because they were generally saturated in violence or the threat of violence, but I wouldn't necessarily go even that far.  My point was, I'm a bit tired of all these people referencing every damn deity as a "war deity" because they have some obscure war-related aspect. As for "reeking of grossness"... I confess myself clueless.  Disgustingness?  Largeness?  Do you mean the piscine smell sure to plague most merpeople?  If so, I'd imagine the Inuit would mostly be exempt from said problem.  Are you saying that the Inuit are fat?  That seems rude.  We wouldn't be making up reasons to be upset, would we?

I think Hephestus and Inanna are why I don’t really like Ares. Like, I don’t dislike him, I can even respect his domain, but just-

Do your thing...

If you cheat, may you cheat death. If you steal, may you steal a woman’s heart. If you fight, may you fight for a brother. And if you drink, may you drink with me.
