Who are your top five favorite StEx characters and (if you feel like answering this follow-up) what are your favorites headcanons for each one?

RUSTY AHHHHHHHHHH- IM SO SO SO NORMAL ABOUT RUSTY HE'S MY FAVORITE IM HIS NUMBER ONE FAN HES MY BEST FRIEND I WANT TO LAUNCH HIM INTO SPACE INTO A BLACK HOLE. anyways a hc i have for rusty is a little unrealistic but at least makes sense to me, he actually isn't that old. him being a young steam engine is actually true, he was built in 1960 and is 23 during the events of the show. it's a whole tangent that would make this post way much longer than it probably is LMAO so i might explain that in another post that's not this one XD.

PEARL IM ALSO VERY NORMAL ABOUT PEARL SHES ALSO MY BESTEST FRIEND IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD I LOVE HER VERY MUCH AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH- anyways i'm one of the many supporters of pearl being tall (partly because im a tall girl as well) but it just feels right for pearl to be very tall, it's always been something i subscribed to from day 1. also a personal headcanon is that if pearl was a dog, she would be a poodle, specifically pink poodles because she's pink and fancy poodles are always are always pink in cartoons LMAO.

SLICK SLICK SLICK I DIDN'T EXPECT ID LOVE HER SO MUCH ESPECIALLY OVER SUCH A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME BUT IVE FALLEN IN LOVE WITH HER AND WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR HER. a headcanon i like is that slick's motivations for what she does is fueled (WAKA WAKA) by an insecurity she has about being replaced by other forms of fuel, especially when hydra introduces himself to them by saying his gonna replace them, especially when she has to affirm to herself that she's "still quick, still slick" I LOVE THE THEMES ABOUT OBSOLESENCE ALSO EFFECTING THE VILLAINS OF THIS SHOW

I LOVE FLAT TOP VERY MUCH HE'S SUCH A LITTLE SHIT my best headcanon that i have is that flat top actively pays out vandals to give him more graffiti tattoos for him to show off to the other trucks

HYYYYYYDROOOOGEN I LOVE HYDRA I ALSO DIDN'T EXPECT TO LIKE HIM BUT HES SO FUCKING LOVEABLE I CANT NOT LOVE HIM. a headcanon i have (because of a misinterpretation of hydra's character i had before learning more about him) was that he comes off as this shady drug dealer guy trying to get rusty to try out "the stuff" when in reality he's just a vegan with autism (that's not just a human au thing, i think that hydra as a truck is vegan LMAO)

1. my favorite production is super hard to pin down because i personally enjoy like all of them, but aesthetically i’m very partial to the early broadway designs. of course i love how cats finally found its footing when it comes to its costumes, but the funky experimental look of broadway which imo was the perfect mix of the more abstract designs of the olc and the more standardized costumes they evolved into.

2. yes i have seen cats live once !! it changed my life forever, and i bought a cat plush !! he is my son and i will be chasing the high of hearing the overture live and seeing the lights reveal the stage and the eyes appearing across the set in person. that shit CHANGES a woman.

3. i love the headcanon that jemima/sillabub is gonna become the new jellicle leader after old deuteronomy “moves on,” i think she would make such a good leader, and i remember seeing a post of her taking on the role of leader and helping old deuteronomy be reborn and it was so sweet and bittersweet and i hope to find that post again.

4. if i was in charge, i would bring back the trash puppets because i just need to see them in any form, preferably live, but additionally, i would bring back the ballad of billy mccaw and put it in place of growltiger. i mean think about it, billy mccaw is so unproblematic compared to growltiger (it’s like the most unproblematic song in this show), and having just ONE story within a story is much less confusing as well. also it slaps.

5. THE OVERTURE I LOVE THE OVERTURE IF I COULD LISTEN TO IT FOR THE FIRST TIME AGAIN I WOULD IN A HEARTBEAT I LOVE IT SO SO SO SO MUCH.

I am Ola Ferwana from Palestine ,Gaza. I'm a mother of 3 kids Yamen, Qusai and Mira. My husband travelled to Egypt to get medicines before 2 days of the war 7 of October on Gaza and he was stuck in Egypt until this moment.

I faced very great challenges and responsibilities of my three children in the absence of my husband, as he had traveled and the crossing was closed and we could not see each other. The amount of suffering I was feeling cannot be described as still being in the north of Gaza.I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart and a plea for urgent assistance. I have left my home and have been displaced more than 8 times with my children. I am living in the war_torn region of Gaza, facing unimaginable challenges, with lack of water, food scarcity, and constant threats to their safety.

This is our street of my house, the Israeli occupation damaged all the houses.

I have delivered a girl baby,Mira , through the war, She was 10 months old and my husband didn't see her until this moment.

Yaman was 7 years old, and his simplest dream was to complete the first grade at school, but his school was completely destroyed. He lost the most beautiful thing that he was happy with and enjoyed that he had reached this stage.

Qusai is 5 years old, and until this moment I do not have the courage to tell him that his kindergarten was also destroyed, the first place and refuge in which he was happy, but in this war he lost everything beautiful. He lost his father’s hug, which was his only refuge when he slept at night, telling him his daily story to fall asleep safety.

Mira, my daughter, who had never seen an hour or a moment devoid of fear, came into this world and was surprised by a war that destroyed many, many things. It destroyed her house and her room, which I was waiting for as I prepared and brought her all the beautiful clothes and colorful dresses she needed. She was surprised by the sound of missiles. She could not sleep because of it. My husband hopes to get a smile and a hug from her daughter Which he had been waiting for some time.

We lack of the basic human needs, no food no electricity no water. We were poisoned and infected because of the unhealthy water that we drink.

My three children and I had to be hospitalized. We suffered from liver dysfunction as a result of malnutrition, widespread diseases, and recurring infection.

During this period, I felt remorseful about how difficult it is for a mother to see her children sick and unable to treat them because she is also very sick.

The Rafah border crossing, which is the only way to escape from the war, is closed now.

I hope to provide us by giving support in order to cover the costs associated with ensuring our safe passage of Egypt through the borders. Evacuation Fund For Rajaa, Khaled and Karam!

Hello! I'm making another post about my friends Rajaa and Khaled (@rajaagaza and @khaled-gaza) and their baby boy Karam. They're currently stuck in Gaza, living under horrible conditions. There is no reprieve from the heat, there is no fresh water, there is no food. They are under constant threat of attacks. Everything is exorbitantly priced and Rajaa and Khaled are desperate to ensure their and their child's survival by evacuating to Egypt.

Unfortunately, the price to cross the border is incredibly high right now. It's about $5,000 for adults and $2,500 for children. Rajaa and Khaled have an overall goal of $20,000 CAD to cover these expenses, in addition to the expenses associated with the daily cost of living once in Egypt.

I cannot stress enough how urgent this is. There's talks of the border opening soon, and Rajaa and Khaled need these funds to be able to escape. Their baby is only one-and-a-half years old. He is suffering from malnutrition. Karam was seven months old when this war started, which means he has known terror, hunger and displacement longer than he has known peace, security and comfort.

I've been speaking to Rajaa whenever she has internet access, and it's always a relief to hear from her. It's also painful, because I know how much she and her family are suffering, and there's so little I can do to help them. I implore you to do what you can to help them escape Gaza and build a new life together.

Rajaa and Khaled are looking to raise an initial goal of $8,000 CAD, which would cover the cost of Karam's travel expenses, along with Rajaa or Khaled. They are hoping that the remaining $5,000 will be raised in time so that both of them can cross with their child at the same time, but the situation is dire and this $8,000 goal is the minimum they need for one of them + their baby. This is so achievable!

They've raised $5,568 CAD so far after months of fundraising! They're only $2,432 CAD away from that first goal!

If you're in the U.S your money will go particularly far. $5 CAD is currently equivalent to $3.60 USD. You truly do not have to donate much to make a significant impact here.
