The Iconic story of The Pulveriser’s mutation:
Donatello: I’m so sorry this has happened to you, Timothy. I blame myself; I should have looked after you better, I shouldn’t have let you get involved in this. But I’m not giving up on you, Timothy. I will fix this, whatever it takes. I promise.
Donatello:

Alright, It’s been a day so I figured I might as well make some sort of response to what I am now officially referring to as “the cursed Splinter post™”
In short, I think @pgirl1986 is right about there being a misunderstanding thing. Basically what I was seeing was people glorifying Splinter and ignoring his shortcomings as a father because they were viewing him too much as the antithesis of the war-loving Draxum, who obviously would have been pretty godawful parent.
I believe what other people were seeing was me hating on Splinter as a character because of his flaws and shitting on him despite the fact that he’s trying his best. (Correct me if I’m wrong). In reality I love Splinter as a character. His flaws are what make him interesting. I just got the impression that people were excusing him too much as they seemed to use the explanation for his bad actions as though they negated the actions from ever being bad in the first place. (Idk if that makes sense lol. I hope it does.) I guess trying to say that being a good parent is about more than good intentions.
In conclusion, I’m sorry if I made anyone upset. Also sorry if I came across as trying to justify myself too hard. I will openly say that I am very insecure. But, as wise individuals say, “it really do be like that sometimes”.
Splinter: *refuses to call his sons by their actual names*, *never takes any notice in what they get up to*, *hugs them so seldomly that one of his sons doesn’t even know what a hug from him feels like*, *traumatises his kids after they lie to him because they were so scared of getting in trouble*, *does nothing but sit on the couch and watch tv for the first several episodes*
The fandom: He’s such a good dad uwu

My shitty Michelangelo drawing believes you can do the thing

(For the record, I’m rooting for Jennika)
