About a two months ago I stopped at a gas station on my way home from work (I am a mechanic) and there were a bunch of people crowded around a car looking under the hood. There was a kitten hiding in the engine bay and she'd crammed herself into a small space where nobody could reach her. I had tools with me and with permission from the car's owner I removed the air filter housing and managed to make enough space to pull her out. She was definitely scared but she wasn't acting feral. Nobody at the gas station wanted her, so a few vet trips later and I now have a beautiful little kitty. She had some minor blistering on her pawpads but a few weeks of antibiotic ointment and she's completely healed and scampering around to no end. Her name is Alero, because that's what kind of car she was in.

Included cat tax; sleepy after her first vet appointment and dinnertime today. She's growing so fast!

I'm going to start hosting nerd parties. There will be (themed?) tea and cake. People will need to have prepared a three minute intro to a topic of their choice. It will be chill.
