Which side note about Menogias and lantern rite anyone else notice that since his debut they bring him up every lantern rite and it seems to be the yaksha they talk about the most? Sure Bosacius was the focus of the perilous trial quest but ever since they talk about Menogias the most (and Menogias was the first name Bosacius said in that cutscene). Like there was:

Plus it’s the year of the dragon not the year of the monkey so (since liyue thinks hes dead) wouldn’t a rex lapis lantern rite thing made more sense? Or some other nameless dragon adeptus? Hoyo clearly has favorites and honest to god if that theory wasn’t disproved my little “capitano is Menogias” alarm bells would be SCREAMING. Bye so I’m waiting for HSR to come out on PlayStation to play (couldn’t focus on mobile and my computer wouldn’t run it properly) and literally almost spoiled myself. I was on Tik Tok and saw a video of Jing Yuan and the caption was along the lines of “Jing Yuan’s voice while performing this banishing” and I was SO distracted by Jing Yuan, the glow effects on the scroll (?) and the overall animation I didn’t even PROCESS “this is a spoiler SCROLL.” Until he started to speak. Luckily my overall distraction kept me from seeing who was banished but my god I’m a dragon attracted to shiny things
