Scribbles And Sketches

Scribbles and Sketches

Pairing: Sirius Black x Fem! Reader

CW: Just two idiots in love with each other and the occasional swearing.

Genre: Fluff with a sprinkle of angst

Summary: Sirius has a habit of drawing in every possession he owns. It also doesn’t help the fact that it’s the way his crush finds out his feelings.

Note: This is inspired back then when my crush (at that time) sat next to me did a sketch of me while in Biology class. Enjoy! Photos used are from pinterest, credits to the owner!

Scribbles And Sketches

Sirius loves to doodle, whether it was little stars on his converse shoes, some random quotes he found funny that he decided to write in the back pages of his notebooks, or how there’s always a little scribble of ‘S.O.B’ on the first pages of his books (that he never really read, he just saw you once or twice holding or reading as you pass by him).

Walburga hates it, when she saw Sirius’ expensive hard bound books have his name scrawled out messily on the side, she was furious. She called it ‘Vandalizing’ and would punish Sirius back then for acting like a ‘mudblood’ and disgracing the beautiful pristine books with a childish scrawl.

Did he do it again numerous times before leaving to spite his birth giver? Yes, definitely, and certainly.

The night he left, he made sure to splash black paint onto the walls, carpets, and curtains— basically everywhere, he even managed to get the ceiling too. He could only imagine the horrified expression and the shrill scream Walburga did after discovering the thrashed room. A smirk of satisfaction never fails to appear on his face every time he thinks of it.

“Drawing her again, Pads?” James looked over Sirius’ shoulder, wanting to take a peek at his friend’s journal. Sirius hissed, shooing him away. “Go away, Prongs. I’m busy.” James lets out a snort, “Yeah right.”

“Just ask her out already, pads. You’re always ogling at her during classes it’s a bit creepy.” Peter teased, laughing at Sirius’ offended face.

“Sod off, wormtail.”

Remus took a break from reading his book to look at his squabbling friends. Seeing the journal in Sirius’ hands, he got curious. Placing the book down, he walked over to Sirius’ bed where James, Sirius, and Peter are. “That’s actually a pretty good sketch of her, mate.” Remus’ eyes travelled down to the right corner of the page, eyes bugging out at first then emitting a loud laugh.

“My future Mrs. Black? Really?”

Sirius grumbles, clearly embarrassed as a light blush coated his cheeks. “Don’t judge.”

“You’re such a sap, Pads!” James laughed, slapping his thighs repeatedly, finding it completely hilarious.

“Yeah, we’ll see who’s the one laughing on our wedding day.” Sirius grumbles, closing the journal and placing it in his school bag absentmindedly.

“If you even get to speak a simple ‘hello’ to her without tripping over your feet that is.”

The only thing keeping Sirius passing out and snoring in his boring Divination class is you humming next to him as you write in a blank piece of parchment. Merlin, he feels grateful and all that, but really? In the one subject he has no motivation for? Sirius grumbled; if it was transfigurations, then he could’ve shown off to you.

You didn’t fail to notice his grumbling state. Misunderstanding his actions, you thought it had something to do with you. Negative thoughts swirled around your head. Does he not like being your partner?

Putting your quill down, you felt nervousness settle in the pit of your stomach. You discreetly look to your left, seeing Sirius with a bored expression on his face. Alright, maybe you were overthinking things. He probably just finds this Divination class bollocks like you do, but you still folded the paper and placing it back into your bag, feeling a bit paranoid that he might see what you wrote.

Classes soon ended, and students hurriedly piled out, eager to get out of the boring class, muttering among themselves. You began to pack up your things, and out of the corner of your eye, you saw Sirius standing and about to exit the classroom.

“Sirius, wait!” You hurriedly grabbed him, your hands on his wrist. You blushed, trying to ignore how you felt butterflies erupt in your stomach and the tingles that you felt when you made contact with him.

A look of surprise and a light blush coated his cheeks. “Y-yeah...? What’s up?” He stuttered. Sirius heard his friends howl in laughter outside the door, clearly spying on them. Thank Merlin that you didn’t notice (or didn’t care if you did notice) as you smiled warmly at him.

“Um, so are you free this Saturday? I figured it would be best if we both worked together on the essay since... we’re partners…” Oh for the love of Merlin, please have mercy on these two people who are too coward to say they like each other. Sirius blinks—not once, not twice, but three times. You can hear Marlene snickering in the background at the exchange.

Was he hearing this right? You? Asking him out? (Okay, not really, but in his mind, it still counts as you asking him out) He was pulled out of his thoughts when you chuckled nervously, awaiting his reply. “Sirius...? You in there?” Sirius cleared his throat. "Erm, yeah! Yeah, see you at the library then?”

You smiled warmly, and Sirius thought he had been blessed by Merlin himself. “Yeah, see you at 9:00 a.m. Bye!” He watches you go to Marlene and Lily, both looking at him with knowing looks.

“Bye.” He breathes out, still looking at you.

“Merlin, Padfoot is whipped.” Peter shakes his head, smirking.

“That he is.” James laughed, watching a pink-faced Sirius make his way towards them. “Cat got your tongue, Pads?” James teased, elbowing Sirius who tried to shove him off. “More like Y/n got his tongue.” Peter snickered; Sirius turned redder.

“Nah, how could Y/n even get his tongue when he couldn’t even get a kiss on the cheek.” Remus laughed, joining in the teasing.

“You guys are terrible mates.”

“We love you too, Pads.”

You bit your lip, looking at both outfits sprawled out your bed. “Lily! Please help me pick one!” The said girl looked up from her charms essay, standing up and walking towards you.

“Are you going on a date, Y/n?”

“No, just doing some divination work with Sirius.”

Marlene perked up, her smirk evident on her features. “Are you sure it’s just divination? Not something else?” Lily scolded her “Oh hush Marlene! Y/n isn’t like that.” She turned to face you, “I think the red sweater and ripped jeans will look good on you.” She smiles, you smiled gratefully. “Thanks Lils, knew I could always count on you. Not like the other person here.” You teased, eyeing Marlene jokingly who pouted “Hey!”

Sirius groans, plopping down his bed. It seems like he couldn’t get a single wink of sleep. He tried everything, even taking a walk outside into the wee hours of the night. Remus throws a pillow at him, grumpier as the full moon is only days away. “If you don’t wanna sleep then at least let us get a fucking good night’s rest, Pads.”

He ignored his friend but kept quiet not to disturb his friends. “Merlin, the things you do to me woman...” he grumbled, rubbing his hand exasperatedly over his face. Opening his trunk, he decided to mull over what he was going to wear for the next day.

“Alright, do I look presentable?” You turn towards your two friends, dressed in the slightly oversized red sweater and ripped jeans Lily had recommended, topping it off with a maroon converse with little flowers and leaves embroidered around it. Pretty basic but eh, it works.

“Kinda meh, let’s put on some make up, yeah?” Marlene gestured to you to sit down, looking at the mirror, you frowned. “I only know how to do blush and lips though...”

“That’s where I come in, let’s make Black drop on his knees and fawn over you.”

Sirius glanced nervously at his watch, uncharacteristically quiet and early; he was a whole hour early, a huge change for the boy who’s always running late and calling it being ‘fashionably late’. By the way he was behaving it looks like he got stood up on a date, which was quite amusing to other students who are seeing this new side of him. Just sitting and having nothing to do makes him even more impatient, so he did what he did best— sketching you.

He took out his journal which he surprisingly brought and took out a pencil and an eraser he stole from Remus. He pictures you in his head, how you hum while scribbling something in a parchment next to him during your last divination class. He started to sketch, expertly drawing you as he did hundreds of times before. It took him about an hour to finish it, even having the time to detail it. He smiles lightly, adding ‘My love.’ in the right corner. It was not just some sketch as he likes to call it, it’s an art piece.

You are his muse— much like he is to your poems.

“Sirius, hey.” You smiled, sitting down beside him quietly, oblivious to a drawing he made that was practically glaring at you, waiting to be noticed. “Sorry I was late.”

Sirius blinks, looking at you “Ah, it’s no problem! I just got here too.” you smiled, pulling out some quills and parchment they would need for the study session as Sirius grabbed the books from his bag. What you both failed to notice was the little piece of parchment containing a painfully obvious poem about him.

Ah, talk about being blindly in love.

“Alright, let’s get this over with. I would seriously drop out of this class next year...” She mumbles, grabbing Sirius’ books without much of a thought.

“I’ll go start with the reading about tea leaf reading then- what’s that?” She stopped in her tracks, staring at what seemed to be a perfect drawing of her. Sirius blanched, feeling his heart drop to his stomach. Shit, you were definitely not supposed to see that. Sirius wanted to cry and disintegrate on the spot.

Your eyes scanned the page quickly, eyes catching the words “My Love” in the corner in Sirius’ handwriting. Your face quickly heated up as your heartbeat went faster, your stomach doing flips. You were speechless, eyes gravitated to the drawing. Sirius quickly slammed shut his journal, pulling you out of your trance.

“It’s not what it looks like!” He tries to save face. Although he immediately wanted to punch himself as he saw you visibly deflate at his statement. He can already feel Remus whacking him upside the head while James scolded him. As if Potter boy would do any better when facing Lily Evans. You bit your lip “Oh.”

An awkward silence ensued for a few moments, Sirius looking anywhere but you and you looking down biting your lip. “Uh, I know you said it’s not what it looks like…” You started, making Sirius whip his head in your direction. “But I just wanted to tell you… That I fancy you.” She saw the poem she wrote during divination class poking out of some of the blank parchments, Marlene and Lily had probably placed it among your parchments. She carefully hands it to him. “I’ll just do the rest of the essay, don’t worry. I know you don’t like this subject.” She quickly packed her things up and headed straight to the exit.

He sat there dumbly, reading the poem you gave to him, eyes widening when he realized it was quite obvious that the love poem was about him. Merlin, he done fucked up his chances of being with the girl of his dreams.

Seemingly out of nowhere, Remus grabbed his wrist and dragged him to a section of the library where not many people are to see the rest of the Marauders with disappointed looks on their faces. “Really, padfoot?” James frowned. “You’ve done it, pads.” Peter sighs, shaking his head.

“Just what the fuck was that, Black?!?” Remus hissed, Sirius bit his lip and looked away. “Lily told me how Y/n was excited, she’ll kill us for sure.” James shivered while Peter gulps “Don’t forget about Marlene.”

“Did your exchange your braincells for your fucking hair, padfoot?!” Remus still hasn’t finished scolding his friend. “I know I know, Moony. I fucked up.” He grumbles, looking at his Doc Martens. “To think that we even planned this with Lily and Marlene…” Remus grumbles.

“What? What plan?”

“Setting you up with Y/n, we thought this will be the perfect time.” James told him, “Apparently not” Remus grumbles. “Y/n’s got a crush on you for ages, Pads.” Peter told him. “And how would you know this?” Sirius found it hard to believe.

“Aside from the fact that she practically confessed to you earlier, Lily accidentally slipped up and told me.” James shrugged. They watch as Sirius practically scrambles out of the library, presumably off to find you. Remus folded his arms to his chest.

“Well at least he saved one braincell just in case.”

“Y/n! Hold on!” Sirius called, seeing you were about to enter the girls’ part of the dormitory. You ignored him, continuing to walk. He managed to catch up, holding your hand to stop you. “Y/n please…” You turned to him, eyes swimming with disappointment. “What is it, Black?” He visibly winced. “I-I take it back.” He told her, you raised one eyebrow in suspicion, “Take what back?”

“What I said earlier, in the library.”

“I don’t need you to feel bad for me.”

“I’m not, believe me.”

You pressed your lips into a thin line, conflicted. Should you believe him?

“I’ve also been hopelessly in love with you, Y/n.” Your eyebrows shot in surprise. He continued, “I… I was so embarrassed and panicked since… my journal was full of you.” Sirius confessed. You were about to reply when he opened his mouth again. “And your poem; fuck, it made me feel things. Merlin, I’m so stupid, I’m so sorry love-”

“If you really are sorry then just shut up and kiss me, Black.”

So fluffy🫶🏻✨

Hi! Can I please request a poly!mauraders or poly!wolfstar (whatever you prefer I don't mind!) where the fem!reader is a seer and she just randomly had a vision in the future where they live a happy domestic life (with kids) and she got so flustered and the boys find it adorable and maybe tease her playfully about it?

I absolutely love your blog and writing I get so happy when you post😭 💗 Have a good day!

okay, honestly? I never imagined even writing about a Seer character nor liking it this much!! when my requests open up again you guys are going to have to request more of this kind of character, I'm obsessed. Thank you for the love, dolly!!!

~please note: my requests are currently closed as I work through older ones~

poly!marauders x fem!reader who is a Seer

CW: mentions of children and pregnancy

You stirred the honey into your tea for far longer than was strictly necessary as you replayed your latest Sight through your head.

Life hadn’t always been easy being a Seer – even worse having come from a muggle family who took your specific gift to be a sure sign of the devil. Thankfully, things started to make a little more sense (at least for yourself) when you received your Hogwarts acceptance letter at eleven.

However, it appeared that the ability of Sight was not easily accepted in the wizarding world either.

You were fortunate enough to See that you’d eventually meet someone who understood what it was like to be shunned by the very world who created you; and with that boy would come two others who would become some of the most important figures in your life.

Of course, futures can always change and nothing is ever set in stone; people change their minds all of the time and set out a different course of action. Understanding this doesn’t always make the Sight’s any less jarring, however.

You really shouldn’t be as shaken up about your Sight as you currently were, seeing as there have been times you’ve literally Seen death, violence, and accidents. This Sight, for all intents and purposes, was really rather sweet.

Hi! Can I Please Request A Poly!mauraders Or Poly!wolfstar (whatever You Prefer I Don't Mind!) Where

“Hey, hey! Hang on. We’re gonna let mummy rest, okay?” You heard Remus whisper just outside the door to your bedroom. Though his words were chiding, you could hear the smile laced into his tone.

“But I wanna give her a hug!” A little voice whined in protest.

Remus chuckled and you heard him press a kiss – you could only imagine it was to the child’s hair.

“You guys can come in, Moons.” You called; voice rough from disuse as you sat up in bed. Seemingly on their own volition, your hands migrated to rest protectively over your ever-growing bump.

“Mama!” A little voice squealed as they launched themselves up onto the bed and crawled their way over to you.

“Did I hear you giving your Da a hard time out there?” You teasingly chided, but you couldn’t help the beaming smile you shot at your little black haired, grey eyed child.

“I only wanted to give Mama a hug.” They pouted, shooting you puppy dog eyes you knew they could have only learned from the likes of James Potter.

“Oof, cariad; you’ve been spending too much time with Daddy it appears.” Remus commented, clearly agreeing with your internal dialogue.

“Have not!” The child shouted as James appeared and leaned against the door frame muttering “I resent that.”

“Well? Can I have my hug then, sweetheart?” You asked, to which the child all too willingly obliged, launching themselves at your torso.

“Oi! Easy there little lion; you’re squishing your little brother or sister there!” Remus scolded, gently pulling the child off your form.

“Sorry baby.” The child apologized quickly, planting a conciliatory kiss to your bump before leaping from the bed and careening out of the room.

“I can’t believe we’re going to have two of those, soon.” Remus commented as he watched the child disappear from his sight.

“You better hope the next one’s yours, Moons.” James chuckled as he pat Remus’ bum before making his way to your bedside to press a kiss into your hair.

“Why me?” Remus asked through a laugh.

“Well, we’ve got a Sirius carbon copy, and if the very next one is a mini-James!? You might as well check us all into the Janus Thickey Ward at St. Mungo’s right now.”

“You don’t want a little mini-Prongs running around?” Remus asked with a cheeky smile as he stepped up behind James and wrapped his arms around his middle, nuzzling into his neck.

“Oh, I’d love a mini-Prongs. But I’d also love a mini-Moony.” James admitted, and even though he was blushing he beamed a proud smile.

“Any child that comes from our sweet, beautiful wife will be perfect.” Sirius commented from the door, his little doppelgänger propped up on his hip looking very odd in all their colours and general toddler mess against Sirius who was still in his smart work attire.

Hi! Can I Please Request A Poly!mauraders Or Poly!wolfstar (whatever You Prefer I Don't Mind!) Where

So, you see? It really was a lovely Sight. But you couldn’t seem to shake the overwhelming anxiety that had settled into the pit of your stomach.

Marriage? Children!?

Pardon the pun but you truly did not see that coming.

You knew James loved kids and loved the idea of having a family of his own one day, but he was also so incredibly happy with the partners he found in the three of you that he would have been happy either way.

Sirius was always staunchly against children. “This line of assholes needs to end.” He’d say. And when James asked if Sirius would be able to love a child if it wasn’t a Black biologically, he hesitated and said, “I’m worried I’ll be like my dad.”

And Remus; sweet, sensitive Remus seemed so heartbroken to admit that he “didn’t want to curse a child to a life with a werewolf for a father”.

You hadn’t ever really minded too much either way. And so, you figured that was that; the four of you just wouldn’t have kids.

“What’s that look for dollface?” Sirius commented as he popped a piece of bacon into his mouth.

“Hm?” You asked, startled out of your reverie.

“You’ve been stirring your tea for ages, dove. I’m sure it’s likely cold by now.” Remus explained, gently shaking your shoulder as he walked behind you to retrieve the toast that just popped.

“Oh.” You said dumbly, bringing the cup to your lips and sipping from your now lukewarm tea.

“I think someone Saw something and isn’t telling her boyfriends.” James sing-songed from his place across from you, correctly noticing your tells and causing you to scowl.

“The audacity.” Sirius squawked, clutching at his non-existent pearls.

Remus, always much more understanding and empathetic to your strife than the other two, bent over your chair and hugged you from behind. “Is everything okay, dovey?” He murmured against your chin.

You let out a breath and hummed in the affirmative. “Is everyone okay?” He asked again.

“Yeah, no. Everyone was safe and happy. We’re okay.” You assured him, not wanting to cause any undue worry for your werewolf boyfriend. His biggest fear was that one day you would See him – The Wolf – hurting someone, hurting them.

“Wait!” James shouted as he slammed his cup down a little too roughly, causing his plate and silverware to rattle. “We didn’t break up, did we!?”

“No!” You shouted back, laughing at the boy’s antics. “Jamie, honest. Everything was fine, things were good.”

“Well, you don’t sound convinced.” James countered.

“If it was fine and things were good, why won’t you tell us?” Sirius argued. His teasing smile fell when your eyes filled with tears, and you looked down to your lap.

“Whoa, hey.” Sirius commented, pulling his chair over so his knees knocked against yours as he turned your chair to face him. “I’m sorry, dolly. What’s up, hm? What happened?”

You laughed miserably at yourself as you wiped tears from your eyes. “It was fine! Honest, I don’t know why I’m like this.”

James groaned as if seeing you upset was causing him physical pain. “What did you See, angel. Please.” He practically begged.

You shook your head in exasperation and tried to sober up your emotions. “We were married with a child, another on the way.”

The only sound in the room was the ticking of the clock on the wall; you had literally sucked the air right out of the room (and apparently from your boyfriends’ lungs).

“Married?” James whispered in awe.

“With children?” Sirius added dumbfoundedly.

You let out a humourless chuckle and stood from your seat, gathering your plate and cup to bring to the sink. You stepped around Remus who seemed to be frozen in shock.

“Sit down, Moony.” You ordered gently after you disposed of your plate, moving to guide him by his shoulders to your since vacated spot when he turned on you.

“Was it the child!?” He asked urgently, eyes wild with fear.

“What?”

“Is the child okay? Did something happen to them!? Were they hurt?” He pressed. 'Did I hurt them?' went unsaid but was heard loud and clear.

“They were fine. They were happy, loved.” You said gently.

He seemed to relax and allowed you to guide him to the table.

“I don’t understand, then.” James admitted, taking one of Remus’ hands in his. “Why didn’t you want to tell us?”

You felt your eyebrows furrow as you considered him. “I just...sort of thought that was out of the question for us, you know?”

“Do you not want to have kids with us?” Sirius asked, suddenly sounding far more fragile than you ever remember.

“What? I... that’s not it at all! I was under the impression you didn’t want kids.” You accused.

Sirius’ head moved back and forth in a ‘so-so’ gesture as he looked to Remus and James. “I’d have your kids.”

You shook your head in confusion. “What!?”

“Well...I love all of you, and you would all make wonderful children. I’d...I’d have your children.” He clarified.

Not at all helpful when the child was clearly his.

“It was mine, wasn’t it?” Sirius asked at your silence. You nodded your head yes. “Was I... was I nice to them?”

You couldn’t help but smile, both at the vulnerability of Sirius in this moment and at the memory itself.

“Yes, you were. They were very loved, clearly.”

Sirius smiled at that.

“It was mostly Moony-centric though.” You added.

Remus turned to you quickly at that. “Me?” He asked breathlessly, eyes red rimmed.

You hummed in agreement. “You were trying to convince them to let me sleep. They got their way in the end.”

James scoffed. “Typical Moony – total pushover.”

Remus turned to him with a bemused smile. “That’s not fair, you are far more of a pushover than me.”

“They were using Jamie’s puppy dog eyes, Rem. You can’t be held accountable.” You joked.

All three men turned to look at you then, determination painting their features.

“I want to see.” Sirius demanded.

“I’ll go get the pensieve!” James called as he took off out of the room.

Remus couldn’t seem to control himself any longer and roughly pulled you into his lap. “Did you make me a dad?” he murmured into the side of your head.

Your cheeks burned furiously at the insinuation. “I believe the correct term was ‘Da’.”

“HURRY UP PRONGS!” Remus hollered over your head, clearly excited to see what you had seen.

“I can’t believe you weren’t going to tell me I was a father, Y/N.” Sirius jokingly chided, pinching your thigh in reprimand. Remus quickly shifted you onto his other thigh and away from Sirius’ fingers.

“Oi! Be nice to our darlin’ girl, Pads. She gives you children.” Remus spat. Sirius seemed to melt slightly at that.

The all pulled out of the pensieve at the same time a little breathless and spun quickly to look at you.

“Dovey!” Remus shouted.

“You looked fuckin’ amazing! Like a goddess.” James cheered, moving to pick you up out of your seat on the sofa and maneuver you onto his lap.

“I love them so much.” Remus murmured staring at nothing in particular. “Oh my gods, I think...I think I have my mum’s old knitting magazines. We should knit them some little booties.” But the rest of Remus’ ramblings were cut off as he walked down the hall to look for said magazines.

“We don’t have kids yet, please don’t take up knitting!” You shouted after him, but James kept you planted in his lap.

“I’m really a dad?” Sirius asked in disbelief, a shocked smile playing at the corners of his lips.

“A hot one too.” James said with a wink. The flirting seemed to shake him from his thoughts as he turned a cheeky smirk in James’ direction.

“Well obviously babes, that was never up for debate.”

“I found them!” you heard Remus call, his voice muffled from no doubt deep within the crawlspace under the stairs.

“Oh gods. I’m going to have more of you all to look after.” You groaned miserably, falling limp out of James’ lap as he and Sirius gasped in faux outrage and attacked you with tickles and kisses to “take it back!”

for remus, maybe a fic where he has a crush on fem!slytherin reader, and maybe the rest of the gang disapproves (at least initially) because of the silly house rivalry between gryffindor and slytherin? hopefully they’ll warm up to her because she’s actually really sweet and likes remus back, and they see how good for him she is :)

Hi darlingg! Thank you for this request, this is so adorable, and it was so fun to write :) I somehow made it a bit angsty...sorry about that I got carried away. Hope you enjoy! Pictures are from pinterest, credits to the owner!

Beyond The Surface

Pairing: Remus Lupin x Fem! Slytherin! Reader CW: Sirius being dramatic, Remus getting angry, and Language

For Remus, Maybe A Fic Where He Has A Crush On Fem!slytherin Reader, And Maybe The Rest Of The Gang Disapproves

He never really planned to fall in love. Remus thinks it would be better if he just lives his life in solitude; away from the confusing and complicated world of romantic relationships.

He doesn’t think anyone should bear the responsibility of having a werewolf boyfriend. Remus wouldn’t be able to forgive himself if he even touched a single hair on your body during that time, he desperately tries to convince himself that his friends and their future children will be enough to warm his heart who secretly yearns to have his own family.

‘It’s for the best, they wouldn’t suffer because of me.’ Remus thought, being the selfless person he was. Although, his plans that he so desperately tried to put up all came crumbling down when you came into the picture.

He didn’t think of it much at first. Remus thought it was just a simple crush that would go away in about three days or so. He was completely wrong.

“Remus Lupin, right? I’m Y/n Rosier, we’re assigned partners in potions.”

You sat beside him, beaming a smile that Remus was certain you were a gift for him from the Gods above. Merlin- you were simply breath taking. That was the first time he felt butterflies on his stomach, feeling his cheeks heat up as you offered a handshake.

“N-nice to meet you, Rosier.” He took your soft hands into his rough, and scarred ones. Shaking it as he desperately tries to ignore the sparks that seemed to go off inside him. Your face grimaced as your last name rolled off his tongue.

“Y/n is fine.” Remus nods, noticing your reaction. He was wondering how someone like you managed to survive other annoying Slytherins as your housemates.

“Alright then, Y/n. Call me Remus, yeah?”

That marks the beginning of an unlikely friendship of a Gryffindor half-blood with a Slytherin pure blood.

“Shall we begin?”

“Alright, but you lead. My skills are no good in potion making.” He jokes, making a small chuckle escape your throat. “I am quite aware.” She teases.

Being partnered with him for a Potions project meant that you would often meet up in the library, spending long hours sitting beside each other in silence, flipping page after page as Remus occasionally puts back books but returning with 5 more.

“Remmy, look here.” You pointed, not noticing how Remus blushed at his newfound nickname as he leaned to your seat, placing one arm on the back of your chair, his tall frame nearly engulfing you as he reads the contents of the page you found interesting.

He suddenly pales, his eyes transfixed on the title of the page. “Wolfsbane potion…” He whispers, eyes scanning the page quickly before looking at you. You hummed, flipping into another page to see how to make the said potion.

“Right, I figured we should make this for our project. What do you think? I think Polyjuice potion is a tad bit boring, hm?” She mused, seeking his opinion on the matter.

Remus parted his mouth to speak, yet the words seem to vanish at the back of his throat. You shot him a worried look, “Do you not like it? You could say so, don’t pretend nothing is wrong, Remmy.”

He blinks, trying to compose himself. “Ah, no-nothing’s wrong. It’s just that…”

You raised your eyebrows curiously, urging him to continue. “What? You know someone who’s a werewolf?” She jokes, trying to lighten the atmosphere as she lightly elbows him.

“I do.” He chokes out, the confession was unexpected, even to him. Remus doesn’t even know why on Earth he’s about to tell you one of his darkest and deepest secrets. It was probably because of your warm and inviting aura. It’s like you wouldn’t judge anyone based on first impressions, appearance, and what you’ve heard about them until you can see for yourself.

Remus felt like he could trust you, and his instincts are almost never wrong.

“Well, maybe the potion we’ll brew can help them?” You offered a smile.

“It certainly would be of help to me.”

You stilled; your hand that was about to get your quill hovered as you looked at him in shock.

“You’re a werewolf?” You whispered quietly; eyes that were surprised stared into his nervous, amber ones. Remus could only nod, an inkling doubt and regret slowly crept up to him. Did he make the right decision? Was he wrong this time? Would you hold it against him?

Your face turned serious, clasping his hand on the table with yours, you looked at him in the eye. “Your secret is safe with me; I would never tell it to anyone. If it helps, I will even make an unbreakable vow, Remus.”

He widened his eyes, “N-no! It’s alright, I trust you, Y/n.” You visibly relaxed, smiling lightly, squeezing his hand, a soft look was sent his way.

“Thank you for trusting me, Remus. If you’d like, I’ll brew you a supply of wolfsbane from time to time.”

If Remus wasn’t in love before that, he certainly is now.

“Out of all the people you could’ve chose to like it was a Rosier?!” Sirius screeched, a horrified look on his face as he grabbed Remus’s shoulder and looked at him straight in the eyes. The said boy frowned “What about it?”

Sirius blanched, “Are you daft, Moons?” He threw his hands up in the air, looking at the rest of the marauders and Lily, wanting them to side with him. Lily’s lips pressed into a thin line; she does not quite agree with Sirius but there’s still a possibility. It doesn’t help the fact that you are a Slytherin; the house that reeks of cunning pure-blooded wizards.

Peter looked anywhere to just not meet the eyes of Remus, clearly uncomfortable. While James frowned, a troubled look on his face as he clasped Lily’s hand. “The Rosier family… they’re not exactly known for their…,” he started, but Sirius cut him off.

“Rosiers are evil! Slytherins! Pureblood Supremacists! Death Eaters!”

Remus frowns, reading the room and the reactions of his friends. The message was clear without words: none of them supported Remus’s interest in a Slytherin, a Rosier no less.

“Give her a chance, she’s different.” Remus tried to make his friends listen to him. Sirius scoffed, rolling his eyes. James sighed, looking at Remus. “Moony, it’s just… We never thought you would fancy a Slytherin.” Remus pursed his lips, “Yeah, I never thought you and Lily would end up together but here we are.” James grimaced at his words.

“There’s tons of girls who fancy you, Moony.” Peter tells him. Remus frowned, feeling annoyance stir inside him. “They’re not her, Wormtail. All I’m saying is that Lily and you blokes should give her a chance before you make assumptions.” He spat, glaring at Sirius before leaving the room.

“Rem? Mon amour, what’s wrong?” She frowns, placing her book down as Remus entered the library, heading straight to her usual place but the window. Remus sighs, shaking his head. He couldn’t possibly tell you what happened, how Sirius thought you were just those pesky Slytherins they pull pranks on.

“They do not like me.” She stated, looking down with a frown as she fiddled with her thumbs.

“Honey, it’s not your fault.”

“I know, amour.”

Remus felt his lips press into a thin line, gently taking your hands in his, trying to stop your nervous habit. “They’re still wrapping their heads around it. They’ll come around, don’t worry about it love.” You sighed shakily, “I hope so.”

Remus traced shapes across the back of her hand, “Anything interesting happened today?”

“Evan and I got into a fight; said I was a blood traitor…” You trailed off, noticing how Remus’s jaw tightened and his stare hardened. “But it was alright, we made up. He just told me to be careful.” To say Remus was surprised was an understatement. “He couldn’t be angry at his twin sister for a long time.” She smiles.

“Black! What the fuck did you do?!” Remus roars, grabbing a fistful of the said boy’s shirt, pushing him against the wall as James tried to pull him off, “Come on, Moons-“

“Don’t bloody touch me, James!” He bellows, pushing off the Potter boy who stumbled away, shock evident in his features. Peter quickly got up from his bed, “Moony, why are you so angry? What did he do?” He drops shoves Sirius off as he stared at his friends.

“It was you guys who pulled a prank on her right? “Remus’s eyes brimmed with unshed tears, pointedly looking at Sirius. “Well congratulations, she’s being treated by Madame Pomfrey right now.”

Sirius felt shame and guilt ate him up. The prank was never supposed to go that far.

“Ever wondered why I was suddenly so calm during the full moon? It’s all thanks to her. She makes me batches of wolfsbane potion every month, without fail.”

James choked, “You told her?”

“I did”

“What if she tells everyone?” Peter frowns, concerned for Remus.

“If she wanted to, then the whole school would’ve already known, she even suggested an unbreakable vow.” Remus uttered out, sitting at his bed, looking away from them “Some kind of friends you guys are. I care about her, and if you hurt her, you hurt me too.”

Sirius cautiously approached him, “Moons, I’m sorry.” He began. James placed a hand on his shoulder, “I know, we’re knobheads. Sorry, Moony.” Peter nods, “We messed up, it won’t happen again.”

“Don’t apologize to me, apologize to her.”

“We will, Moony.”

An hour has passed after you got treated by Madame Pomfrey, you wanted to leave as you already felt alright but she insisted you stay for an hour or two just so she could monitor you. Having no choice but to oblige.

“Love?” Your ears perked up, the sound of Remus’ voice calling out to you. You turned and smiled at his direction, although suddenly dropping it as you saw the rest of the Marauders and Lily following him.

Trying to alleviate the awkward atmosphere, Sirius pulls out a bouquet of flowers. “Remus told us you like Tulips…” You were about to take it but stopped, James seemed to notice this. “It’s not jinxed, or anything like that.” You bit your lip, silently looking at Remus as if asking was it safe, he nods. “I was there when they picked it out love.” You finally took the bouquet, nodding gratefully. “Thank you.”

“We wanted to say we were sorry.” James started; Lily nodded. “It was quite shameful that we made such accusations and judged you before even getting to know you.”

“I’m sorry, Y/n. We…we were just looking out for Moony.” Sirius sighed; shame visible in his features.

“I understand, I probably would have done the same. I’d also look out for the people I care about.” You softly replied. “It’s okay, I forgive all of you.” You looked at them.

James stepped forward, “We hope you can give us a chance to make it up to you.” Sirius cleared his throat, “And maybe, if you’re up for it, join us for a butterbeer at the Three Broomsticks?” His attempt at a smile was hopeful.

Your lips curved into a genuine smile, your body slowly becoming relaxed. “I’d like that,”

Danger Meter [5]

You pretended you couldn't feel Rooster staring at you from across the room.

You pretended you couldn't see the longingness in his eyes, as you laughed with Bob or joked around with Hangman.

You also pretended you don't think that he's your soulmate.

The past few days has been rough on you, the mental exhaustion evident on your face as the light from the Hard Deck illuminates your face.

"Robby, what brings you here?" You looked over your shoulder, leaning against your car that is parked infront of Hard Deck.

"I know what you're thinking, y/n/n."

You raised one eyebrow, "Care to be specific? I'm thinking 'bout millions of things, Robby." You chuckled, he neared you until he's next to you, leaning against your car.

"I know that you think he is the one." Bob answered, looking at the night sky. You stilled, damn, you couldn't really hide anything from him. Bob already memorized your actions, feelings, and thoughts like the back of his hand.

It's not like you're not the same to him, you know what he wants you to do before he can even say it out loud.

"You want me to test it out." You stated, which made Bob look at you and smile. "Who knows?" You closed your eyes and drew in a breath, a shaky sigh leaving your lips.

"I'm scared."

Bob reached for your hand and gave a comforting squeeze, urging you to continue. "Why?"

"What if he isn't the one? I'd feel like I'm betraying my soulmate because of my feelings for him, Robby." You looked down as Bob widened his eyes, "So you admit you like him?"

"Yes. I do like him, but he probably doesnt' like me." You confirmed as bob shaked his head, telling you that Rooster doesn't dislike you. He needs to talk to Pheonix about this later.

"As long as ypur soulmate isn't Bagman then they're okay to me." His statement earned a chuckle from you, but a thought crossed over your head which dampened your lightening mood.

"And with the Uranium mission coming up.. If I ever get picked for it, will I even come back alive? Will I ever come back at all?" You asked yourself, fear evident in your eyes.

"I want to meet my soulmate before I leave for the mission, I might never come back, Robby. Just once and I will be happy." You looked away. Bob knows exactly what you mean as he shaked his head.

"We will come home safe." Bob stated, as he gripped your hand and made eye contact with you. You could feel him determined, and somehow, his words bring you a sense of comfort.

Danger Meter [5]

"So hot." You moaned, fanning yourself with your hands. Jake who coincidentally walks past you, winked. "Thanks sweetheart." You made a disgusted face at him.

"What the.. I was talking about the weather. Shut your trap statefarm or else I'll make you eat sand." You shaked your head as he laughed, walking away. "That damn mouth of his, I swear." You grabbed your sunglasses as you sat at one of the beach chairs.

"Mind if I sit here?" You heard someone asked.

Looking over your shoulder, you repsonded "Sure, whatever. Don't think it's occupied anyway." Rooster looked at you for a long while and sighed, "Look, I'm sorry for ignoring yo-"

"Rooster, I forgive you. Let's just put it behind us, yeah? I'm sure you have your reasons." You mumbled.

"It still doesn't give me the the right to be a douche." He shaked his head, being sincere.

"Sorry about Hangman too, he's a fucking asshole, I know." You added. You heard the chair creak as he sat beside you.

He tried to look at anything but you. But his eyes seemingly cannot do it, he's mesmerized. The fact that this is one of the few times he got to see you without your uniform or flight suit is doing things to him. It's not helping that the navy blue sports bra and white shorts are complimenting your body.

And you acted like you don't know he was checking you out.

"You don't need to apologize on the behalf of him. He's not your responsibility." He stated. You chuckled, "Well, I feel kinda responsible."

"You and Hangman are getting into fights recently, I heard that you got into a fight at Hard Deck." You looked at him.

Rooster drew in a breath. Did you know the reason why they fought? Has Hangman already brainwashed you that he's no good for you and that he's a player?

"I don't know what ypu guys fought about but from what I heard what happened it seems serious."

Rooster stilled for a moment, opening and closing his mouth. You don't know? It's a miracle it hasn't reached you yet, considering almost everyone knows about it now. Bob and Pheonix did a good job at keeping things seemingly under the wraps infront of you.

"Yeah, it is." He mumbled.

"Care to tell me about it?"

"Well.." Bradley hesitates, he doesn't know how.

"I don't bite. Lay it on me, dude." You grinned. Rooster sighed, "We fought because of a girl."

He noticed your smile faltered, or maybe that was just his imagination? Maybe he's just being delusional.

"And? What? He likes the girl and you like her too?" You tried to act like that it didn't affect you. But it did, it felt like someone stabbed you as you listen to Rooster talk about this girl that he's head over heels for.

You weren't dumb, you can see that Rooster is hopelessly in love.

"I like her, I think she's my soulmate."

Tears sprang onto your eyes as you try to keep your smile and voice steady, thank goodness you were wearing sunglasses. Rooster didn't seem to notice it.

"Oh really?"

"Yeah, but Hangman.. He doesn't like that idea."

You need to get out of here, you need to ne away from Rooster. Tears are threatening to spill from your eyes as you can feel your heart hurting.

"Oh, maverick's here.." Your voice cracked, before he can even ask what's wrong you were already jogging towards Bob and Pheonix.

Danger Meter [5]

"Rooster, do you realize how fucking dumb are you?" Pheonix asked, glaring as the taller man looked away.

"So that's why she wasn't her usual self earlier in the beach.." Bob mumbled, Rooster asked "Wasn't she just down because she didn't win?"

Pheonix rolled her eyes as she face palmed. "Are you that dense Bradshaw? It's clear that she's painfully inlove with you! You think she's upset over the football? No! It's because you were talking like you have another girl in mind that you like!" She threw her hands up in the air, almost smacking Rooster in the face.

"You think so?.." he asked, looking down.

"That she's inlove with you and that you're dumb? Abso-fucking-lutely."

He wants to fucking believe it, he wants to think that you feel the same way to him. He wants to think that there's a chance you like him and think that he's your soulmate.

"You better figure this out before the mission, Rooster." Pheonix shakes her head. "Do you have any intel, Bob?"

Bob looked at Pheonix uneasily, "This will be the first and last time I'm going to snitch on her, Pheonix."

He knows that snitching on someone isn't good, but he could endure you being angry at him for a few days than not say it. He knows that this is going to be the important key to stop the misunderstandings between you and rooster.

"Yeah I know Bob, get on with it!" Pheonix turned to look at Rooster, making sure he's listening.

"She likes you, Rooster."

Rooster couldn't process it, he blinked a couple of times. "Hold on, one more time." He urged Bob to repeat what he said, maybe he just misheard.

"She's inlove with you, Rooster. She thinks that you're her soulmate."

Bradley Bradshaw couldn't believe it, his mouth opened as he asked a quite ridiculous question. "Are you sure?"

Bob sighed, shaking his head. Love makes people dumb, he thought. "Look man, if you don't believe me then I don't know what to tell you except for find it out yourself."

"Try to touch her subtly, like brush your hands against hers during class and stuff like that. See if your mark will glow." Pheonix suggested, Bradley hummed, considering it.

"What should I do if I find out we're soulmates?"

"I- Rooster, does Bob and I look like an instruction manual for how to deal with your soulmate?" Pheonix facepalmed.

"I was just asking..-"

"Well then it's a dumb question!"

A Gryffindor's Grief

It was forbidden love, really.

Those little moments of not-so-accidental touches, stealing glances, and discreet smiles sent each other's way were your means of communicating with each other.

James Fleamont Potter, a Gryffindor boy that was absolutely smitten with You; Slytherin's Princess.

An odd combination that would only lead to chaos.

Being one of the sacred twenty-eight wizarding families meant that you command power and respect from everyone you meet— intentionally or unintentionally. The idea about blood purity, power, and influence was already in your mind as soon as you were able to grasp things your toddler brain could handle.

You were taught to only mingle with pure-blood families, people who could be useful and loyal to you, and those with power, influence, and wealth. Your family’s distaste for muggles and muggleborns were also ingrained into your mind, as if they programmed you to believe what they believed in. It wasn’t that hard, after all you were surrounded by rich witches and wizards who are blood supremacists.

For someone who grew up with those ideals and values, you thought it was right. Although, your belief came tumbling down the longer you spend time at Hogwarts and got to know James Potter and the rest of the Marauders.

James, he made you feel alive.

It felt as if he was the breath of fresh air that you never knew you needed. Away from that suffocating Malfoy Manor, the scrutinizing gazes of your family, and away from rich pure blood problems. Being with him felt exhilarating, he was the buzz in your life. James brought so much joy into your dark, lavish, and empty lifestyle.

It was quite funny, picturing him as your knight in shining armor, whisking you away from your pretty, gold cage.

"Malfoy!" Evan Rosier, a pure-blooded Slytherin raised his hand in your direction, motioning you to come over and sit beside him during breakfast in the great hall. Cold eyes like Lucius Malfoy's travelled in his direction, a questioning brow raised.

"Rosier, you are being too loud." She commented, walking, and sitting next to him before greeting the person beside him, Regulus Black.

"Good morning, Regulus."

"Good morning, Y/n."

Barty Crouch Jr. looked up from his meal and snickered at the both of you. "Good morning, Mum and Dad." He teased, greeting you both as Evan laughed along with the other Slytherins near them. Heck even Severus has a small smirk planted on his face. "If you wish to make your family line extinct, then please feel free to continue with your remarks, Crouch."

He smirked, putting his hands up in mock surrender "Just kidding, Y/n. Geez. Rough summer, I suppose?"

You felt your lips press into a thin line, an obvious answer to the question; It was horrendous.

Evan’s laughter slowly dies, he shakes his head, “Give her a break mate, she just got the biggest news of her life during summer. Isn’t that right Y/n-“

“Shut your mouth Rosier if you do not want to be hexed into next month.” Her empty threat really doesn’t do damage to Evan, he just shrugged, taking it as a warning that you’re not in the mood for jokes.

Your father, Abraxas Malfoy and older brother, Lucius Malfoy made a huge decision for your future. Hearing rumors here and there about their Slytherin Princess being romantically involved with a blood traitor in Gryffindor enraged your father, Abraxas. That will certainly not do, they will not sit idly and watch as the Malfoy name be... tainted with those rumors.

You remember how you felt dread entering your system, fighting the urge to run and throw up as you mustered up a façade, “Those are just baseless rumors, a plot to ruin my image in school." You held your head high, praying they do not see the truth.

Abraxas stared at you, his daughter, with a monotone expression. "Your brother and I do not care whether those ridiculous rumors are true or not." Lucius nods, agreeing. What a lie. You know your family well enough to not believe what comes out of their mouths in situations like this.

"We do not care if you had relations with the boy, even though it is rumored that he is a blood traitor, you knew well enough not to fool around with mudbloods. Well done, Y/n. Perhaps you could change his views, get him to join our cause.” Lucius looked at you. You could press your lips into a thin line, trying to find an answer.

“That tactless boy's role is to only be a bed warmer for you, remember that Y/n." Your father stood from the chair he sat in the drawing room. Slowly walking towards you. “Although, I suppose it ends now. I heard Lady Walburga Black is looking for a potential bride to their heir, Regulus Black.”

After a week, it was official; You are to be wedded to Regulus Black, your friend, Sirius’ brother.

You could not do anything about the arrangement, what fight would you have put up? A young girl like you, who does not have any power, influence, and wealth could only suck it up and accept.

How you wish it was James you were betrothed to.

“James, you came.” You breathed out, seeing him take off the invisibility cloak. The moonlight in the astronomy tower complimented his features, he offered a small smile sitting beside you.

The stakes were high, you were sure underlings of your brother (and possibly father) in the school have their eyes trained to you as you enter another year in Hogwarts. You would need to find new ways to meet up with your lover. Regulus’ eyes discreetly looked towards James, who is undeniably looking at you.

“Wouldn’t want for my girl to be alone, you know?”

He joked, intertwining his finger with you, a second nature to the both of you. Squeezing his hand, you softly looked at him. “I missed you, pothead.” He leaned towards your face, kissing you on the forehead. One of the things he does that never fails to make you feel flustered. “I missed you too, love.” You rolled her eyes, slightly shoving him playfully, “Stop being sappy, Pothead.”

“You secretly like it, love. You can’t lie to me.” He grinned, although the last sentence made you tense up. James shot you a concerned look, noticing your body language. “Something wrong, love?” You were torn, deciding on whether you tell him about the engagement rather than keeping quiet and leaving him in the dark about your current situation.

“I got engaged.” Before you could even stop yourself, the words flew out of your mouth. Shit. It wasn’t how she planned to tell him. The light atmosphere suddenly became dark and heavy. You can feel James turn rigid, freezing up as he muttered. “So, it was true, huh?” He scoffed bitterly, hurt overtaking his features. “James…” You gently called, carefully placing a hand on his shoulder. He flinched, turning his body away from you.

She tried to ignore the hurt she felt, pushing it down as she understood why James was acting this way.  “Sirius told me.” He choked out, still not looking at you. James really does know you well, answering the question you haven’t even voiced out yet. The slight tremble in his voice made your heart crack. You bit your lip, of course Sirius found out; he was still a Black after all.

“I love you, James. I really do.”

You spoke to him, you raised your hand, about to put a hand on his back that was still facing you but deciding against it before it touched him. Your hands faltering before dropping down to your sides. He shakes his head violently, his curly locks getting messier than they already were.

“Don’t… Don’t say it like that, love.” He pleaded, slowly turning to face you again, eyes glistening with unshed tears. “Don’t say it like you’re about to leave me. This. Us.” He croaked; you felt his large hands placed on top of yours. He brought it up to his lips, kissing the knuckles.

“James…” You managed to utter out, voice getting caught at the throat.

James knew he was acting like a child, but damn- he never thought it could hurt this much. He pictured both of you marrying each other, living in a large house with a big backyard because he insisted it will be great for when you have kids. Merlin, he even imagined about 3 or 4 kids looking like the perfect mix of you both, running out and about with their names already carefully thought out.

out. He daydreamed that the both of you grow old, watching you tell stories to your grandkids about their grandfather’s mischief during your years at Hogwarts.

“I have to, James.” She chokes out, tears spilling onto her cheeks. Those four little words made James’ little bubble of happiness burst with just a bat of an eye.

“Don’t… don’t do this to me, love.” He pleaded; he even went down onto his knees as he saw you standing up from your place beside him. Poor James, luckily it was only you, the moon, and the walls of the Astronomy Tower watched him become a wreck.

“I love you, please remember that you will always have my heart, James. I wish you find happiness.” The part ‘without me’ was unsaid but was heard. It took a lot of courage, strength, and self-control not to fall apart. Deep down, you wanted James to say the same to you, proclaiming his love again for the last time you’ll be together.

“I love you Y/n, so much. No one will ever make me feel the way you did. I’ll find a way; a way for us to be happy together. I swear on my life.” He promised, looking at you straight in the eye. You could only close your eyes before smiling at him, trying to blink the tears away. Stars, you hoped James really does find a way.

“Goodbye, Potter.” She turns, walking away.

Maybe Slytherins and Gryffindors really aren’t meant to be together.
