update: the worms have arrived. i am extremely excited. my mother is extremely confused.

due to the sudden influx of wormbark posts, i have been peer pressured (by myself) to order a bulk pack of worms on a string so i can create wormbark and all the other worm-lifers 😔😔😔

okay but I'm watching tangotek's pov of double life and there's something so deeply painful about the scene where the ranch burns down. like. jimmy and tango, they've had a rough start, they don't have much. they died, tango lost his stuff, jimmy is jimmy. but they've worked so hard to scrape up their little living together. it seems like nothing special to the rest of the players but to them, it's something. tango worked to make their little house nice. they ran around gathering animals and learning to be ranchers if they couldn't be miners or fighters. they've worked so, so hard. and now, it's all burning down. so much effort and investment so easily disposed of, just because of a few misplaced words about a panda. they try, they frantically try to save the life they built, the house they made to keep off the rain. to no avail. everything flammable on the house burns down. not even all the animals are spared scar came for revenge for his precious animals but he just passes on the suffering. no wonder tango is so, so enraged (and his flashback!!!). for the first time ever, jimmy is the one calming someone down in the dynamic. jimmy has to convince his soulmate not to run off and retaliate in a way that will cause both of them nothing but harm. but obviously it's not permanent--tango can only simmer down and plot when to flare up. tango is made of fire--the same fire that burned his ranchhouse, and his anger represents the continuation of the cycle of revenge that burned down his hard-earned, simple little home. the cycle of violence, of vengeance, that eventually destroys the entire server. everyone always says they're just going to get their justice and then let go, but then the person they revenged on wants payment in turn, and on and on and ON it goes, until there's no one left on the server.

Jimmy and Tango leave first.

Marauders Reacting to Scam Calls:

Lily: Answers the phone, but once she realizes it’s a scammer, she rolls her eyes, hangs up, and blocks the number.

Remus: Answers and grabs a metal bowl, places it on top of his phone, and bangs on it repeatedly until the scammer hangs up. It’s awful but Remus thinks it’s absolutely hilarious.

James: Tries to keep the scammer on the phone as long as possible. He’ll do whatever he can to keep the person on, from pretending to be a super confused old lady to telling a fake, random story that goes nowhere. His current record is one hour and 49 minutes.

Sirius: Immediately starts flirting with the scammer. “You want my credit card information? Oh, baby what kinda man do you take me for? Buy me dinner first and then we’ll see, hot stuff.”

Peter: Actually fell for a scam once but learned from his mistake immediately. His friends still make fun of him to this day that he got scammed.

Pandora: Picks up the phone and then somehow ends up having a deep conversation with the scammer. “John, is it? You know, I think you just need to tell her your feelings. If you never confess, you’ll regret it deeply.”

Regulus: Doesn’t answer his phone, like ever. His montra is if it’s important, they’ll leave a voicemail. But even then Regulus most of the time won’t call anyone back.

Mary: Once she knows that it’s a scam call, she tries to get the scammer as mad as she possibly can. She thinks it’s a riot when they start screaming at her and then furiously hang up on her.

Marlene: Answers and also tries to keep the scammer on the line as long as possible, as she and James are competing to see who has the longest record. James is currently winning, but Marlene is only a few minutes behind. She’s extremely determined to win.

Dorcas: As soon as she realizes it’s a scammer calling her, she starts belittling the scammer. “Seriously? Out of all the things to do, you chose scamming? Do yourself a favour and get yourself a real fucking job. God, this is just bloody embarrassing for you.”

Barty: After answering, he ends up scamming the scammer and getting their credit card info instead, as well as all their personal information. Barty loves it when the scammer gets all scared and starts to plead for forgiveness.

Evan: Tries to make the scammer so uncomfortable that they hang up. “You have an amazing voice. I’d love to slice open your throat and examine those pretty little vocal cords of yours.” Scammers always hang up right away.

c!Tango has two major rage moments, one in Last Life after the Bdubs boogie kill and one in Double Life after the ranch burns down, and after both, his behaviour changes drastically.

first, there's the obvious, the part that everyone can see: he's fucking angry. everything he does has this air of pure rage surrounding it. even after the incident actually happened, for the rest of the season, he is just furious. it leaks through his voice and his constant gritted teeth. others can move on, others can forgive; Tango cannot. Tango cannot let go.

then it's the... well, the untrustworthiness. he starts slinking around in the dead of night, sitting in trees or on cliff edges. often, players just feel his eyes on them, watching from the forests or outside their windows. they don't know what his intentions are but he isn't hostile, he just... watches. sometimes he goes missing for hours at a time and is found just sitting there, staring. it's like he's absent in his own mind.

but most of all, it's the recklessness. no-one wants to say that he's suicidal, but, you know. the leaps he takes down cliffs as he's following his friends, how dangerously close he comes to lava, the little scrapes and bruises that he never would've gotten before. Jimmy notices it more than anyone as his soulbound -- waking up in the night to see his partner gone and a brand new tingling pain in his ribs.

Tango feels rage so much deeper than everyone else. some would say it's in his nature
