What a great chapter. It was so comforting, like a warm blanket. It was like a good hug. My heart is at peace for now. I cried so much again but for different reasons.

Kook turned out to be the best help. His idea to meet with her grandmother was the best.

You open your eyes. The walls are violet and the furniture a mahogany red. You know that room so well. You spent many nights in it back when Namjoon was still nowhere to be found and your little group was still complete. Maybe a little broken at that time, but at least everyone was still here. You sigh with pain in your voice. The night Yoongi was with you in this exact bed comes back to you. Haunting you. It was a peaceful night, the air smelled of aging summer and the cicadas were already quiet. The rest of the house was already asleep. It was just you and him. He plopped himself right across you, sinking into the fluffy duvet until he was almost swallowed by it. You then proceeded to giggle like crazy and attack him with dozens and dozens of kisses. Yoongi spent the night under those covers with you whilst the only soundtrack of the night, was your shaky breathing and the sound of desperate kisses. He told you about his past as a sorcerer once everything was done and you listened to him until the sound of his voice lulled you to the best sleep ever.

Knowing that such moments were nothing but memory these days hurts like fucking hell.

You sit up even if it is difficult. Your legs are bared under the covers. That explains why your jeans are thrown over the wingchair by the window. Your beanie and winter coat were on it as well and by its legs, your winter boots were standing.

Jungkook must have undressed you last night before tugging you into bed. The latter wasn’t in the room with you, but the sound of the shower next door lets you know that he was still here. Even if not visible, Jungkook was still here.

The morning after your night with Yoongi comes back to you. He also took a shower in this bathroom. He let you sleep in and you woke up to the sound of him brushing his teeth. He kept the door open, leaning against the doorframe and with his eyes gazing at your face. He wore a bathrobe back then. It was pink and floor length as it belonged to one of the witches. You remember giggling when seeing him and Yoongi telling you to stop teasing him with fondness in his eyes. He gave you a kiss once he finished his morning routine and till this day you regret not pulling him back into bed with you to kiss him for hours. You should have appreciated the time you had with him more. You should have kissed him and kissed him and kissed him some more.

The door opens. Jungkook steps outside, wearing fresh boxer briefs and having his hair tied back in a high bun. He looks at you the moment the door opens.

You sometimes wonder how your life would have turned out had you stayed with your parents. Would you be happier or would you be living in your own personal Hell? Would your father still avoid looking into your eyes and would your mother still greet you by asking if you were finally doing something worthy with your life? Those are questions you know the answer to already. You would have escape nonetheless. One day, you would have left no matter what. You may not have ended up at this specific university with these specific secrets, but you still would have ended up somewhere else. Somewhere where people looked into your eyes and where simply being alive was already enough.

Being alive is a funny thing. Everything and everyone could kill you at any time. You breathe whilst sometimes feeling like drowning. Your heart beats even after getting it shattered. Your brain continues to produce thoughts, no matter how much one may beg it to stop. Your limbs continue working for as long as they are destined to work. And yet everything, every single thing works to one single goal. Death. That one day all this working may finally stop.

Death is an ever funnier thing. You wonder if you would look at it the way you do these days after everything you have been through. You wonder if you would still be as scared of it as you were back then, if you never knew how it feels to come so close to it. Maybe you would live happier though. Despite your fear. Maybe you wouldn’t have to think of all the lives you ended and just how death is certain for everyone. No matter if it comes in ten years, three days or five centuries. Everyone dies eventually.

Are you dead? Is that why you are thinking about it right now? Is this your brain’s last job? To make you think about how everyone dies? Didn’t people always say that one thinks of one’s life if death was near? But what is there to think about really? Thinking about it hurts too much. Your grandmother left, your parents hated you and you failed to reunite the only family which felt like home. Yoongi. You failed to save him.

Your eyes open. The lights are so bright that it hurts. You blink to get rid of the pain. Wait a minute. You can’t be dead. You still feel like shit. This isn’t the afterlife, you’re still on earth.

Your vision returns to you and for just a second you wished that it would have given you a little more time to adjust. Yoongi is right there, sleeping on the pillow next to you and with his face glowing in life.

You had planned this camping trip since forever. Everyone had their role. Seokjin and Jimin were in charge of bringing the food and drinks. Jungkook declared himself as the official entertainment master, in short he will bring his guitar and sing something later. Namjoon and Hoseok went and bought a ten person tent one week after the trip was decided and like the good boy he is, Taehyung purchased the most comfortable camping beds online. Which left you and Yoongi in charge of transportation. Given how you were the only two people with cars in your friend group said decision was a given. 

Summer finally came and with it your long awaited camping trip in the countryside underneath the clear sky and with lots of mosquitoes to eat you alive. 

"Shit” Hoseok hisses as he slaps the tenth mosquito from his bite-covered arm, “how can we think of everything except insect repellent?" 

"Because we are idiots that’s why”, Taehyung states, scratching the newly bitten spot on his calve with vigor. 

“Just do it like me and you won’t get bitten”, Seokjin says proudly. 

You all look at him, breaking into amused laughter. His feet are stuffed into big socks and thick sweatpants cover his legs. He is wearing a sweater, even going as far as having wrapped a scarf around his neck. There wasn’t an inch of skin of his not covered under layers of fabric, except for his eyes and nose. 

“Sure and die of heatstroke? I think I’ll pass”, Jungkook teases, shaking his head. 

“Laugh all you want, at least I won’t have to complain about mosquito bites tomorrow”, Seokjin mumbles, clearly pouting even if you can’t see his mouth under the big scarf. 

“I’m honestly just waiting for a mosquito to bite your nose. That would be hilarious”, Jimin grins.

Seokjin rolls his eyes at him. “You guys are mean”, he mumbles, pouting. 

“Hey, we are just teasing you hyung”, Namjoon says, patting Seokjin’s knee.

The latter hums a quiet acknowledgement.

“How about I give you my first s'more as a collective apology from me and the group?” Namjoon offers, holding up the sweet treat. 

Seokjin’s eyes light up and with one swift hand movement the s'more has changed owners, now having found a new home in Seokjin’s mouth. 

“Delicious. Apology accepted”, he says with his mouth still stuffed with cookie. 

“I have a nice s'more fact for you guys. No one really knows when and by whom s'mores were invented. The first mention of s'mores however was in 1927 in the magazine called-" 

Jimin’s thrilling story about the origin of s'mores soon fades out in your ears when Yoongi suddenly appears next to you. You are currently preparing some coffee a few feet away from the others when the pink haired man decides to join you. 

He sits down on the folding chair next to yours, empty can of beer in one hand and a roasted marshmallow on a stick in the other. 

"Hey”, he says shyly. 

“Hey”, you answer him just as shyly.
