So Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency got cancelled AND IT DOES NOT DESERVE THIS. But it can still be saved if there’re enough views on international Netflix when season 2 goes up on Netflix on Jan 5th. So I’m urging you supernatural fans to pick up this show during the holidays because I’m 100% sure you’ll enjoy it + the fact that about 50 actors have acted in both shows.

Like Osric Chau. Y'all know him. Y’all love him. Master Chau? The guy who plays Kevin? 

He plays a series regular named Vogel who’s part of a ‘gang’ which feeds off crazy. He plays an incredibly wild character who can beat the shit out of people but is also the sweetest cinnamon roll of a character ever. Plus Vogel is on of Osric’s best roles.

And also Lee Majdoub. He played Hannah’s second vessel In Dirk Gently.

He plays Silas Dengdamoor in the second season. A poc gay character who lives in the fantasy world of Wendimoor who can’t lie for shit. And is so in love with his boyfriend, Panto Trost (who I’ll talk about later) and is also a really sweet guy which you’ll fall in love with. 

And then there’s Ty Olssen. Benny. He only appears in Dirk Gently for two episodes before he gets uh killed off. Is that a spoiler? I mean it was two episodes in. But anyways he was great in his role. 

Ok now let’s talk about Panto Trost. He’s played by Christopher Russell who played Cliff Whitlow in the Curious Case of Dean Winchester.

I still find it weird how JK Rowling tweeted this:

while having her only gay character in the entire franchise be trapped in the closet for the entire series…

Not to mention this was in a twitter chain that started with her talking about how she imagined characters of various religions existed at Hogwarts but were just never mentioned…because she doesn’t feel the need to include Jewish people (for example) in her stories.

So she always kept her characters’ statuses as minorities a secret, but she thinks it should never have to be a secret, and that’s not a contradiction I guess.
