have you ever read a fanfic so good that you wanted to write a fanfic about that fanfic, but was too shy / too intimidated to ask for the author’s permission and too afraid that your writing wouldn’t be half as good as theirs and that it would be an insult to their work that was basically a literal masterpiece, so you just sat there fantasizing about their work and how beautiful it was and how you wished you could just eat it and how you wished canon could write your blorbos half as good as this writer did and how you just wanted to cry because you just loved that fic so much????

Persona 4 but like... Penguin thoughts

Kanji likes penguins, he probably makes penguin plushies because they are round and gives them to the Investigation Team because they are all stressed out including him. He probably has a big penguin plushie for himself. Nanako probably has one too.

Kanji and Naoto would probably flirt about as well as penguins. Kanji just handing Naoto a cool pebble. Neither of them knows how to respond. And the next day Naoto has put a slightly bigger and shinier rock in his locker as thanks. Now they both just have weird rocks in their rooms. It's totally productive. Naoto has a huge rock in their room they can't move on their own. They will not request help. Kanji has a couple colourful rocks lined up on his desk. He recently realized one of them was pried off of a local building decal and started doubting where the rest of them came from.

If Teddie wasn't a bear, I'm pretty sure he'd be a penguin. Dopey, prone to falling but never getting injured, and with a natural tuxedo. His bear suit looked kind of tuxedo-suity to me. He would peck people who insult his friends. He would peck his friends. He'd slide down hills and poor Yosuke would have to deal with the grass stains.

Yosuke has eaten the penguin cracker. He found it while snacking on his break. He only realized after eating the top half of the penguin. He didn't tell Kanji because he had eaten half of it, was at work, and probably didn't care enough. He feels like he's keeping a secret for doing that and is not sure if he likes it.

Yukiko tried to buy a penguin once. Her and Chie were talking about something and that led to a tangent where they were talking about exotic pets in movies. Chie said that any animal sidekick makes a movie cooler. Yukiko said some were objectively more funny than cool. Chie said that it was all on the filmmaker, and any animal could be cool. Then it was 1 AM and Yukiko Amagi almost acquired a penguin to shoot the most badass action movie with Chie before Chie unplugged her computer. The penguin in the movie was going to be Chie's sidekick and save the world. Now Chie can't mention penguins and movies in the same breath or Yukiko will break down laughing over the non-existent comedic masterpiece that was Aggressive Penguin Dragon Lord. None of the other IT members get the 'joke', and Chie refuses to explain it lest Yukiko attempt to make it a reality.

Rise is the only member to have actually touched a penguin. Since she's a famous idol, she goes places. Goes to photoshoots and events. Gets lost at photoshoots and events. Doesn't admit she's lost and convinces everyone she's supposed to be there because she's Risette. Ends up somehow walking into a set with live trained penguins, almost getting attacked by one. It was an awkward apology, but she can proudly be the only IT member to have touched a penguin, even if it was just diving at her legs and screaming before the trainer returned. Also the only IT member who has almost been sued. So far.
