the fact that my special interest is kpop is really a double edged sword. like my main group, and i mean my main group, literally i’ve been hyperfixated on them for like two years now, is itzy but i also ult aespa and since i’m pretty active on twitter it’s just really annoying and lowkey disheartening that our two fandoms are always fighting each other (usually about some dumb shit that probably doesn’t even matter) and i hate to be like that and do not, i repeat i do not, want to start anything but it’s just like…it’s usually the mys who start arguing about itzy vs aespa in midzy spaces that don’t have anything to do with aespa, at least from what i’ve seen. it just really sucks for me because i’m so into it (in an autism way yk?) and it’s just really sad to me bc why can’t we just band together and help each other instead of squabbling about meaningless bullshit, especially when the members of our groups are literally friends. and also because i see an overwhelming majority of this stuff bashing lia for absolutely no reason like literally unprovoked and it’s just like why can’t this girl get a break?? idk it’s hard to explain why it makes me so sad it has a lot to do with the fact that it’s almost always only about shitting on lia and her talent (she’s my bias yes), if not the entire group. i feel like overall itzy doesn’t get enough credit but i could go on a whole separate rant about that, too. sorry for posting something like this it’s just been a really big thing for me since kpop is my biggest special interest and i just??? idk i think about this stuff a lot. i just think it’s so stupid and really truly disheartening that our fandoms clash so much especially since there’s no way in hell either group would think this kind of behaviour is good for their fandom plus the members are literally friends. it just makes me feel a little sad
