“Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.”
I spent a lovely morning at the museum of fine arts and exploring the city a bit. The fresh air and scenery was a nice change after a short bout of homesickness.
This post would be hecka long if I included even half the art I absorbed, so here’s a couple I thought were pretty neat: Calle Larrazuria (Pablo Uranga), Jardín (Inocencio Asarta), Estanque con Surtidor (Fernando de Amárica), La Presa del Puente (Amárica), and El sol da resplandores a los lugares humildes (Amárica).

Walked to the library today, taking in the nice weather in the park along the way. Really need to get it through my head that French verbs can’t be turned into Spanish ones by conjugating/pronouncing them like they are.
“When spring came, even the false spring, there were no problems except where to be happiest. The only thing that could spoil a day was people and if you could keep from making engagements, each day had no limits. People were always the limiters of happiness except for the very few that were as good as spring itself.” —Ernest Hemingway
“You get a strange feeling when you’re about to leave a place. Like you’ll not only miss the people you love but you’ll miss the person you are now at this time and this place because you’ll never be this way ever again.”
