the fandom has been giving a lot of patience to rumiko but fact of the matter is that she even hangs out with the sunrise staff for vacation its from a proper interview translated by rumic world so many times she has been passive aggressive over iy franchise laughing at a fanfic manga being done by other artist saying she trusts sumisawa wholeheartedly but if anyone else touched ranma urusei yatsura and maison she will throw several fits

If Sunrise had done anything to Kikyou, RT would have had a fit.

The fandom was verrryyy patient with her.

Re-reading Inuyasha in my 20s, I realized her writing is dishonest and passive aggressive. So I bailed out the moment I saw Rin in that tree. I knew RT didn't give a fuck about her fans though even I never imagined she would ever greenlight anything with Sessrin in it.

But a lot of people trusted her to protect the series. Her name was used to lure fans to trust Yashahime wouldn't pull off the worst. Trust in her is what kept most fans hoping for a flip through season 1.

Looking back, she did release that image of Sesshoumaru and child Rin from the Hell arc.

Any way, she pulled the same bs in season 2.

No one with upright morals claims a man is a child's father and then draws them together as husband and wife 🤢.

So yes, fandom did indeed treat her with kidgloves.

Currently thinking about demon slayer Rin that doesn’t actually slay demons only befriends them

How I imagine it happened:

Lolisawa: are you sure you want to draw Rin like this? why not with the pink kimono sesshomaru gave her at the end of og IY ? and what about the "golden" kimono shippers are so excited for? or why not the kimono Yashahime's what if manga is using for Rin? why not just the white kimono we've seen her in all this time? I mean, are you sure you want to draw Rin in Kagura's kimono?
