Hypershifting
Hypershifts are a mix of otherkin shifting and hyperfixations.
Hypershifting is a type of shifting where hyperfixation effects the strength of it, typically most common among neurodivergent folks, especially those with ADHD and autism.
A hypershift differs from regular shifting as hypershifting is a strong snd sudden shift when you hyperfixate on your kintype and/or your kin source. Often during a hypershift, one will be fixated on their kintype or their life as their kintype to a degree quite past normal interest/shifting, becoming an obsession.
what’s a linktype?
• uhm a linktype is a nonhuman identity you choose to identify as. the reason you choose to identify as said creature can be whatever, some people do for coping or for fun.. but just because you chose that identity it doesn't mean is less important that involuntary identities.
• the equivalent of otherlink for fiction is called fictionlink
• some people say linkers (people who have linktypes) are KFF but i disagree, because KFF people are usually ignorant about the kinmmunity
• well at least that's how i would define it, as a person with linktypes.
thinking about .. him

little crab i love you
I feel like one thing that is barely talked about in this community is liking living a human life. While I don’t identify fully human, there are still human aspects about me, my physical body aside. Maybe because I also have human fictotypes.
And while I sometimes would love to just be a polar fox curled up in a pile of snow and listen to the sound of waterfalls, I also like being able to read and draw, I like being able to talk to so many and different people from all over the world, to see and learn about so many cultures and lives and these are all things I could never have done as a polar fox. I find comfort in my non humanity, but I also find comfort in my humanity.
