i think immortal beings wouldn't think that love is a "small" or "trivial" thing as is often the case in fiction. i think if you lived to be more than a few human lifespans you'd either think love is a terrible fate, like a plague; or the most natural, inevitable thing like finding an old complicated friend and going "ah yes, i might as well run into you in this situation" or like "took us long enough to cross paths again". maybe you'd see it in everything, even when mortals couldn't, even when they'd refuse to accept it you'd know, because you've seen it way too many times
