While I'm in an Emily mood, I may as well just share this ☝️ Magnificent documentary work, and features wonderful footage of Stirling Single No. 1.

I knew that the Great Northern Singles had the pretty glamorous job spearheading the express services up to Scotland and repping their company in the Great Races—

But here are some details I didn't know, and, from the perspective of Emily's characterization, they are just fascinating:

1. On an occasion where an engine ran less than one minute late on the express service, the G.N.R. made a point of apologizing profusely and citing "beastly weather" for the unconscionable delay.

2. Stirling did not put a front coupling link on this class because he expected that they would never need to be helped by another engine. Ever.

Emily the New Build might be on the wayside in my personal headcanon—the notion of Emily the Ex-Top Link Golden Child trying to re-learn everything she knows about life after those insanely high-pressure expectations is in.

one of my favourite things about holding onto all the thomas toys ive collected since i was literally a baby is making batshit insane stories with them. my mom and i literally make entire soap operas with them.

presently lady hatt is cheating on sir topham with farmer mcoal, and as a result sir topham hatt turned to alcoholism. spencer stole the express coaches from molly. mollly attempts to crash into spencer to stop him, but she fails and rosie takes her to the works to be repaired.

rosie abandons her work to chase spencer down. she caught him, and as punishment, sir topham bans spencer from the tracks. bulgy steals the passengers on the express and holds them hostage while he drives all over the road. spencer then jumps onto the road to try and take them back. thomas then appears out of no where with gasoline and explosives and blows up a tunnel, then jumps on the road as well to confront spencer for causing trouble. bulgy and caroline are forced off the road from their feud. all while that was going on, emily was supposed to pick up the express passengers from molly, and has been on a wild goose chase this entire time to find them. such shenanigans involved conspiring with henry to cause spencer to crash, asking mighty mac about it while he does all of rosie's work, and going all over the island multiple times.

with bulgy off the road, emily finds him and takes the incredibly pisses off passengers to dinner, and they can only be calmed down when mighty mac brings them booze. sir topham figures out spencer caused all of this and bans him from the road too. spencer, in retaliation, jumps onto bulstrode and hijacks him. so how are you all spending your weekends?

the ttte brainrot does not stop. i passed a person whos car fell in a ditch and my brain immediately began playing that song the schoolboys sang at gordon in off the rails. i feel so awful for giggling

When women get chromosome tested to participate in sports and discover they're intersex and are wrongly excluded, trans women were the ones in the reticle.

When butch women get yelled out of bathrooms for being mistaken as men, trans women were the ones in the reticle.

When gay men in drag reading books to children are threatened by armed fascists, trans women are the ones in the reticle.

When broad shouldered, square jawed cis women are jeered at in public transport for looking 'mannish', trans women are the ones in the reticle.

When a trans man is called slurs in public because he looks like a trans woman, trans women are the ones in the reticle.

Why do trans women have to point out the suffering of others caught in the crossfire of our oppression to get people to care. I have had most of these things personally happen to me, trans women have all of these happen to us all the time, but I hear the loudest protests of this injustice when it happens to other people. I'm venting here but like, just consider every time this happens to someone who isn't a trans women, multiple trans women have had to deal with it directed at them not mistakenly.

Transmisogyny isn't having one of these things happen to you every now and then, it's constantly being the target of this pressure, this boot every day of your life, and feeling that in the back of your head when your boss laughs at you joking about needing to get paid more, when some coworker says your voice sounds deep, its knowing that you've got all these reticles pointed at you just for existing.

And I see those peoppe who say they're transmisogyny affected because something like one of the examples has happened to them once or twice. You have no idea what its like to live under this pressure constantly, you just happened to get hit by a stray shot and you're saying you're the target. Shameful behavior.
