“You’re nothing without me.” Sanzu points at you. “You can say whatever you want, but you know that it’s true. You’ll never find anyone else like me.”

“I know.” You wipe the tears from your face. “And I think that’s for the better. I gave you the world, Sanzu. I did everything for you. For us. And this is what you do? You fuck the first bitch you see at a party?”

“Whatever. You’ll be back soon.”

Walking around town with a couple of people, he had the biggest smirk on his face. Kanto Manji gang was already the top gang in Japan and things couldn’t get any better.

“Yo, Sanzu.” Ran slaps his back. “Isn’t that your ex?”

And as he turned around, he saw you talking with your friends. You laughed at something one of them said. He noticed how you were glowing, looking way better than you did during the relationship. And he felt a pang in his chest. You were right, weren’t you? You don’t need someone like him. Sanzu scoffs and pretends like seeing you so happy didn’t hurt.

“Whatever. They’ll be crawling back to me soon.”

Haitani Rindou

I know you mad, you didn't see it my way

“Can you for once just understand how this whole situation makes me feel?!” You yell out frustrated. “Why can’t you just see it from my point of view! You never listen to me. You just do everything your own way and then get mad at me when I try to treat you how you treat me! You’re a fucking hypocrite, Rin.”

“Whatever.” He just rolls his eyes and looks back at his game.

“You’re doing it again! I can’t remember the last time we spent our time together. I shouldn’t even be talking about this with yo-“

“So shut it.”

“Huh?” Your eyes widen.

“Shut the fuck up. You’re so fucking annoying.” Rindou bangs his fist on the table that held his gaming set up. “Always bitching about everything. If you hate how I ignore you so much, why don’t you just leave huh? Fucking dumbass.”

That day you did leave. And you never answered his calls or messages. Whenever he tried to talk to you, you would just walk past him, or just switch routes so you wouldn’t even have to see him. You started treating him like he treated you the whole relationship. Rindou knew he fucked up bad and he didn’t know how to get you back.

Hanma Shuji

Since I've been gone, I've been out of space

“You make me so fucking stressed, Shuji.” You sigh as you finish wrapping bandaids over his hands. “You disappear for weeks or months and don’t text, or call. I never know where you are and if you’ll come back. I hate it.”

“Yeah, yeah. Sorry, babe. It won’t happen again. I swear.” He kisses the top of your head.

You knew his words didn’t hold any meaning. He would sweet talk you into staying and then he’d disappear again, leaving you alone with the dark thoughts of what could have happened to him. But for now you’d just stay in his arms.

So after he didn’t reach out to you in four months, you decided to just end it there and grabbed your belongings from his apartment. At first it was hard. You’d check your phone for any new messages or calls, but after a while you realised how better you felt after leaving.

Ran Haitani (ft. Mitsuya Takashi)

“I can’t believe you. I gave you a chance to change after the first time..” you feel your heart breaking, a lump was forming in your throat and you wanted to scream, to throw whatever was near you into walls. “And you went ahead and cheated on me for the second time?! Do you have no fucking shame, Haitani?” You looked at him and felt your stomach drop. He had a smirk on his face and his eyebrows were raised. Like this whole thing was just a show he was watching on the tv.

“You’re stupid if you think I can and will actually change. It’s not my fault you’re so dependent on me.” He shrugs his shoulders. “If I were you, I would’ve left ages ago.”

Ran was walking around Roppongi with Rindou. They wanted to visit a caffe that opened not too far from their apartment. And when they walked in Ran felt his stomach explode and his hands started shaking. There you were sitting in a booth, smiling happily while a guy him and his brother hated, was holding your hand and making you blush. Mitsuya Takashi healed your heart and made you forget about him. Ran couldn’t stand the thought of you belonging to someone else.

Mitsuya felt someone staring at him and as he lifted his eyes, he tried to contain a smile. The Haitani brothers were both staring at you and him. He lifted your hand which he was holding and left a gentle kiss on your wrist. He doesn’t mind giving you the world if it meant you’d smile at him like that. It was Ran’s loss.

You two were stuck together ever since you were kids. It’s like you were glued one to another and everyone knew that if one of you was somewhere the other was nearby. It was always Mitsuya and (Y/N) and always will be. Even after Mitsuya met Draken, after he joined Toman and changed as a person. He still stuck by you. Thought as years went by Mistuya realised what he felt for you wasn’t just a typical friend bond.

Mitsuya walks towards the house where the party was happening and the moment he opens the door the music gets louder and he feels as if he stepped into another reality. All of the yelling from different people blend into one sound and he tries to push it away and concentrate on the music playing in the background. But his eyes were looking around to see one person that he came here for. And as he took in his surroundings a familiar face could be seen in a corner. Mitsuya’s lips turn upwards and he smiles to himself being glad that it didn’t take too long to find you. Thought as he walked closer he noticed you weren’t alone, you were laughing with someone else. With another guy.

And then Mitsuya suddenly stops in his tracks. And as he looks at you two he feels his thoughts slowly form into a hurricane as his stomach turns and he feels like he’s slowly losing grip from reality.

“Why do I feel like this?” He mumbles to himself.

He has seen you hanging around with plenty of guys and it was never a problem to him. Maybe because they were all Toman members and knew how close you two were? He doesn’t know. He doesn’t fully understand why he feels the ugly emotions he’s feeling now. After all you were his friend.

Ah. Maybe that’s the issue. He’s just looking out after his friend. He doesn’t know if the guy you are talking to has pure intentions with you. You were like his sister.

So he decides to look at you two for a while. You seemed happy talking to the guy. Leaning forwards to him as you laugh at his joke. And the guy gives you a look. Mitsuya knows that look.

He wants to kiss you.

And before Mitsuya can even stop himself he marches up to the two of you and grabs you by the hand. And before you can even react, he has already dragged you outside and you stood near his motorcycle. Mitsuya’s breaths were uneven as his hands now were formed into fists and his knuckles were turning white.

You stood still a bit confused as you looked at a Mitsuya you have never seen before. The weather was a bit chilly and the wind caressed the skin of your bare arms. Then suddenly the reality of the situation hits you and you step closer to Mitsuya.

“What the hell was that, huh?” You ask him with a bit of spite in your voice.

“What was what?” He rolls his eyes as he glances at your figure.

“Mitsuya. Why did you do that?”

And he stops in his tracks. What does he say now? Why did he do it? It felt like at that moment he couldn’t control himself and he just did what his body and mind wanted to do at that moment. What he felt was right. But how does he tell you that without sounding like a complete weirdo? His heart starts beating faster than ever and now thoughts start flooding his mind. Will you hate him for this? Will you two get into a fight? Will you not talk to him for a while? What if he loses you? He cannot tell you the truth.

But his thoughts stop when he feels someone shaking him lightly.

“Taka, snap out of it.” You softly say as you see him gather himself and stand straight again.

“Let’s go for a ride, (Y/N).” He suggests but you cut it short.

“No. We have to talk. What is happening?”

And you see him collecting his thoughts while he tries to speak up. His lips part open for a second and then he closes them. It feels like time slowed down while Mitsuya tries to spit the words out. But it feels like there’s a clump of dirt in his throat getting bigger than ever and for a second Mitsuya looks like a kid again. Lost and afraid, not knowing if he’s going down the right path. You take his hand into yours and with your thumb start drawing circles on his palm, trying to calm him down.

“Don’t hate me after this.” He mumbles.

“I won’t. I could never hate you, Taka.” You softly smile at him.

He needed you now, you think. More than ever. Maybe something happened at home? Maybe there were problems with the gang? Maybe-

“I got jealous.”

Oh?

“Why?” You tilt your head and he thinks you couldn’t look prettier. The moonlight shines on your face and makes it look even more angelic than ever.

“I.. (Y/N). I like you.”

“I like you too, Taka.”

“No. You don’t get it. I like you more than a friend. (Y/N) I got jealous because I want you to laugh at my jokes. I want to be the one to make you smile and I want you to look at me. It made me mad that that guy was getting your full attention and-“ he suddenly stops and his eyes get wider. “I’m sorry. I’m so so sorry, I spoke too much didn’t I?” He moves his hand away from yours and tries to sit down on his bike, but before he can do that he feels your arms snake around his torso.

“Mitsuya Takashi. You’re a complete idiot.” You whisper. “I see only you. I love you.”

He turns around and you see the shock in his eyes. He puts his hand on your cheek and stares deeply into your eyes before asking.

“Can I kiss you?”

Rindou knew better than to fall for you. He knew you were in love with his older brother. After all, Ran was always more popular and acknowledged by everyone, while Rindou stood in his shadows. He tried to do whatever he could to just get the spotlight at least for a little while. And for some dumb reason he thought that he might have a chance with you. He tried to distance himself from you and it was successful for a while. But that one night made all of the walls he built - fall down. And now he was left all alone to build them up again. Oh how much he wished that he hadn’t let you kiss him then. Especially when he noticed you looking at his brother while doing so.

Kokonoi never thought he’d date anyone. He was so sure that he would die alone, since he had no time for relationships. He only cared about money and ways to get more of it. But then a new Bonten member showed up and it only took one glance at them. Just one glance and he was hooked. The way you kept your head high and were never scared to show your true emotions to anyone. The scowl you’d have when you were mad at someone and the way you always thought you were better than anyone else. You were egoistic and always got whatever you wanted. He knew you were too good for him. No one was even worth your time. And he knew that you’d use him for money and for whatever else you needed. But he didn’t care. If he was the one you’d get home to at night, he was fine with whatever you did during the day. Even if it hurt him in the end. You were the sun and he was Icarus. (Icarus, in Greek mythology, son of the inventor Daedalus who perished by flying too near the Sun with waxen wings.)

After losing everyone, Mikey had become completely numb. He treated everyone with disrespect and never gave them the time of day. But you had stayed. Even if it cost you your sanity. You knew your feelings weren’t as strong as they used to be and that you were living off of false hope of the old Mikey coming back. You knew it was an extremely toxic relationship from both sides. But you had been with him for far too long to just let go of it now. But some nights while laying in bed you’d let your thoughts wander. Asking yourself if it was truly worth it. The screaming, the throwing stuff at each other, him not caring and you crying your eyes out until you couldn’t even let out a sound anymore. He treated you like you weren’t even real. Like you were just a figment of his imagination and would come back to him whenever he wanted. And he was right. No matter what you always stayed.

You met Sanzu and Mucho after being assigned to the 5th division. The three of you hit it off easily. You all spent almost every single day together, becoming extremely close. You considered them your family and had many polaroids of all of you on your wall. You watched the sunsets and sunrises together, went on quick road trips and made many memories that you’ll never forget. There were at least three of Mucho’s sweaters in your closet that he’d always tried to get back but never succeeded. You always wore Sanzu’s hair ties on your wrist. And when the day started off weird you knew something was wrong. Mucho didn’t pick you up with his car and neither of them were at the Toman meeting. They didn’t answer any of your messages or calls, and when Mikey came up to you after the meeting ended you felt your heart break. But you didn’t find it in yourself to hate either Sanzu or Mucho. So when you had to fight both of them at the Tenjiku vs. Toman fight you couldn’t stop yourself from asking them.

Inui is in love with you and has been for a while. Though your heart still lies with Mikey

I met her by chance

“Whats up” Inui walks into the room with two cans of (your favourite soda). “You look.. like you’re really going through it. All gloomy and shit.”

You don’t know when exactly the two of you became close friends. It just happened on it’s own. Though you don’t really question about it, content with being so close to the blonde.

You like to call your friendship fate, since the two of you hated each other’s guts before Mikey disbanded Toman and broke you heart. After that Inui felt pity towards you and somehow managed to earn a spot in your heart. But Inui hates the though of that. You didn’t know why for the longest time and thought it was another one of his dumb theories. But once he was extremely drunk and called you, because he felt lonely and wantd to talk. He confessed that if the fate theory was real it meant that his sister’s fate was to die. And he thinks it’s bullshit. She still had years and years ahead of her. After that you stopped even saying the word “fate” in front of him. You didn’t know it, but it truly meant a lot to him. It meant that you listened to what he had to say and actually cared about his feelings. He doesn’t remember the last time someone did that to him.

“Nothin’” a soft murmur left your lips. “Just thinking.” You scratch your head and sigh. Your head was placed on your palm as you leaned on the kitchen table. Inupi and you decided to move in together in an apartment near the bike shop that he ran with Draken.

“You can talk with me about it y’know.” He tilts his head to the side and puts down one can near you. “I’ll always listen to you. And maybe give some advice. Though I can’t promise it’ll be good advice.”

“Sometimes I still think about him.” You close your eyes for a second and his face flashes in your mind. It was as clear as day. His blonde hair and dark brown, almost black, eyes. And that childish smiles of his. “And it really hurts. All of the good memories we had together.. I know he’s not the same person that he was. And sometimes I wish that I never even met him that day. I wish I had stayed in my room. But instead I just had to go to the corner store to buy some snacks. That’s where I met him..” you rub your eyes. “But I know if I ever had the chance I would do it all over again. I really miss him. I miss the old Mikey.”

You felt a palm touch your shoulder and as you look up Inui stood before you, looking at you with soft apologetic eyes. It was a bit awkward talking about your ex to the guy that you knew had a crush on you. It was obvious to you and everyone else. But deep down you knew you still need time to move on from Mikey. Even if three years have passed, it was still not enough. Just the sound of Mikey’s name made your stomach turn. That itself was a sign that you’re just not ready for new relationships yet.

“You deserve better, (Y/N). I hope you know that.” He takes a deep breath and you can see that he’s trying to form a sentence in his head that will have the best approach to this situation. “Right now you’re living in the past. You have been for three years. You can’t keep doing that. You need to focus on right now and on the future. I know you miss him. But he’s not going to change. The Mikey you knew has been gone for a while. And as much as it hurts you need to move on and create a better future for yourself.” His body’s tense and he doesn’t know if this was the right choice. Kokonoi would always comment about how he’s too blunt and Inui never really cared about it. But now he wishes he could just keep his mouth shut.

“I know, Inui.” You slightly pout, deep in thought. “Hey. Can I be a little selfish and ask you something?”

“Of course.” He smiles at you, now relaxed.

“Can you wait for me?”

“(Y/N). I’ll always wait for you. No matter how long it takes. I’ll wait.”
