The flash of red and blue lights illuminated the street, enveloping the apartment buildings surrounding and surely causing an eyesore for anybody who was sleeping. The wind swept by you in a cold chill, making the hairs on your neck stand.

“Cold?” the very pretty agent who sat on the back of your rig asked. She was a brunette with big wide eyes and a loopy smile you’d accredited to adrenaline.

“Just a bit,” you responded, squeezing some antibiotic ointment onto the back of your hand before grabbing the gauze. When you turned, you were met with pupils blown by adrenaline and a stupid grin on her face. “I could warm you up,” she said, the grin growing as she patted the spot next to her, inviting you with a tilt of her head. Your brain stalled for a moment and you could feel your cheeks heat up.

Stay focused, you thought, moving your eyes away from her face, and judging by the way her eyes lit up you probably looked like a deer in headlights.

“That’s… very kind of you,” you muttered as you dabbed the gauze across the cut that lay on her cheekbone. Her very prominent, very sharp cheekbone. The feeling of her eyes on you provided a warmth that nearly quelled the cold running through your veins, and you tried your hardest not to blush.

Professionalism, Professionalism, you repeated to yourself, thankful for the fact that your own gaze was preoccupied. The stupid grin hadn’t left her face, and you bit your lip as you tried to work around it.

“Do all EMTs look like you? because I think I might have put myself in the line of fire more often.” She teased and your eyes flashed towards her in surprise at her boldness. You were unable to ward off the flustered look that crept onto your own face and her eyes twinkled triumphantly. You momentarily turned your face away from hers, looking down at the ointment on your glove as you recollected your quickly unraveling composure.

“You’re lucky it’s not too deep. You won’t need stitches, and there shouldn’t be any scarring.” You deflected, maintaining your supposed professionalism as you applied antibiotic ointment to the cut. Even through the material of your glove, the movement of your fingers across her cheek felt electric. Ignoring her piercing eyes, you straightened back up and turned to your kit, pretending to be looking for something—In reality, you needed a break from her intense gaze before you started babbling like an idiot.

“Here I was hoping you’d keep your hands on me a little longer,” She huffed, and you could hear the smugness in her tone. Your jaw nearly fell off of your face at her recurring boldness and you had to take a few deep breaths before turning back to face her.

Her eyes sparkled with amusement, and her smirk had grown exponentially. The look on her face was unmistakably attractive, but you had a job to do. You pursed your lips to the side as you fought off the blush that threatened to expose you. “Can you relax your face for me, agent…” you trailed off, unable to recall her name.

“Prentiss,” she introduced herself in a flirty tone, “But, Emily works.” she purred up at you.

You nodded, the smile you were holding back threatening to break free. You tilted her face to the side with a gentle hand, “okay then, Emily…relax your face for me, please.”

“Anything for you, beautiful.” Emily teased, nodding compliantly.

You watched as she tried to knock the grin off of her face, failing miserably as her dimples dented her cheeks and her eyes crinkled at the corners.

You fought back a smile of your own as you leaned down and began placing small adhesive strips on the wound. She was so attentive, her eyes following your movements and expressions as much as they could.

She was making an easy task very difficult.

“Am I being too forward? You’re just the most beautiful girl I have ever seen.” She whispered after you’d pulled away slightly to get a final look. The blush that settled over your cheeks was undeniable, and the triumphant look on her face was even worse now that she’d finally seen your flustered smile.

You opened and closed your mouth, unable to form a response, and Emily bit down on her bottom lip as she held back a laugh. Not wanting to make a fool of yourself, you settled for discarding your gloves.

“Thank you,” you muttered, putting away your things as you tried to keep yourself busy. Her eyes were still on you, and she smiled when you bashfully met them.

“Any questions, Agent Prentiss?” You asked, shoving your hands in your pockets in an attempt to look more collected. She saw right through it, however, and with a nod she looked up through her eyelashes, tilting her head with a smile that almost landed you on the stretcher.

“Can I get your number?”

She does have a point

I’m probably looking at this all wrong but

This demon thing only comes out at night, right? And in the mornings when Mark wakes up, things go back to normal, right?

This thing is trying to get Mark to sleep because then it can take over. It’s telling him to go back to sleep because that’s when it can come out. But when he’s awake, it can’t.

What happened?

Maybe it’s in the limerick. Think about it. Mark’s the ONLY one who got two poems during the DDLC thing. But why? Because there are two Marks.

“There once was a man named Mark” - our Mark

“Whose heart had lost its Spark” - the demon is telling people to laugh, be happy, smile, have fun, spread positivity. A heart losing its spark could mean Mark being unhappy.

“He paid the Toll / And gave up his Soul” - he let the demon in to be happy again.

“And now he lives in the Dark” - the demon lives in the dark, he comes out at night

Like I said I’m probably wrong. And I’m probably not original. But hey whatever.

This whole thing began happening in the beginning of January, 2018.

Creepy videos of @markiplier “kidnapping” his friends in the theatre (around the time as a “You’re Welcome” show in Detroit), as well as him saying “let him in” and oddly positive things on his Tumblr page.

And then it hit me.

It’s a new ego.

A virus ego, possibly similar to Antisepticeye.

Sure, sure, call me an idiot of a fan, but look at the facts!

1.) A “New” Icon?

Just a few days ago, maybe even a week, now, Mark posted this photo on his Tumblr:

Like, what the heck? Black eyes, but with white pinpricks in them. Who, of Mark’s egos, has those eyes? Darkiplier? Nope, think again. Darkiplier has all black eyes with no white in them (mainly in fan arts) or normal eyes with black irises (mostly in his videos), meaning that Darkiplier is temporarily eliminated from the suspect list until some concrete evidence pops up.

Creepy, right?

Mark is way, way more positive here, but some words stand out to me.

“Game” and “join” (used twice) and “mask” are the ones that are the thorns here.

“Game” makes me think that he’s toying with us, leaving little clues here and there.

“Join”, given the context of this scenario, makes me think it’s some sort of scandal or weird dystopian thing going on here.

And lastly, my favourite, “mask”. It’s quite obvious with this one here. He’s covering something up for later, but also, keep in mind that masks can portray something externally, but the person may be feeling or thinking something else entirely on the inside.

3.) Positivity, Personality, And Mannerisms.

This has to be, by far, the creepiest point in my whole talk. I mean, look at this!

Aright. So this is a cool fan art, but what’s up with the whole positivity thing? Like, I know that if there was a creepy-as-heck fan art, Mark would probably make a small comment on it.

But then we get to see things like this:

Once again, the mention of “game” really gets me, but that’s not the point, here.

“Haha!”

He says that multiple times in any post of his— scroll through his Tumblr for five seconds and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

Even if it’s creepy, he’ll say something positive, and then add on a “haha!” here and there. As far as I know, not one of Mark’s egos are this chipper, let alone really like the guy.

4.) “Disease” & “Spreading”?

(Look at that, another “haha” and even the mention of, dare I say, “silly”?)

I found this when I was scrolling through some *normal* Markiplier fan art the other day.

This person, @mindboogling, says that the whole profile dealio is spreading around Tumblr, and guess what Mark replies?

“Spreading? Like a disease? Haha that’s silly!”

He himself mentions the word “disease”, here. Isn’t that just a tad odd?

But then he immediately dismisses it, shrugging it off like it’s nothing. I can almost imagine, because of the word “silly”, that he’s nervous. Nervous about what, you may ask?

This person almost just found out his entire plan, that’s why.

Yes! Yes! I KNOW that sounds insane, but check this next point out!

5.) Extermination Of The Egos.

This happened about a week and a half ago. Now, why would Markiplier, the creator of both Darkiplier and Wilford Warfstache, want to kill off his two most popular egos? To create some drama within the community? Maybe.

But I don’t think so.

What if what we’re witnessing is a new ego taking over mister Markiplier, huh? This would explain the drastic personality change and the mannerisms he has been showing us for the past two weeks, by using “positivity” to his advantage, as well as the over-usage of the phrase “haha!”

But what kind of ego would exterminate or kill off two powerful egos? One that would have the lethality of Antisepticeye, but the chipper, almost sadistic side of Dr.Schneeplestein (apologies if I did not spell that correctly). One that would have to care a lot about the egos, as well as Mark.

But then, who’s exterminating Darkiplier and Wilford Warfstace and been sitting in Mark’s place this whole time?

6.) The Reveal.

This is the part you’ve all been waiting for, I know, I know.

Now, let’s quickly go over the facts to wrap this present of a theory up!

This ego, if he even is one, likes to play “games”, laugh quite a bit and use way more exclamation points than needed, is very “positive”, but has a tendency to be real creepy when he needs to be. He has enough power to quickly exterminate both Darkiplier and Wilford Warfstache, two of the most powerful egos of them all.

I think what we have here is a disease. A “Virus” ego, if you will.

Viruses can spread, are quite similar to diseases, and can, in all technicality, kill someone or something within a certain amount of time if they’re strong enough and replicate quick enough.

But then again, all viruses need a host, right? Well, what if Mark was this ego’s host? What if this virus could take him over and start this whole fiasco?

To take over one person, viruses need to clone themselves. And that’s why this Markiplier was asking for more people to join this scheme.

So he could become stronger.

But hey, that’s just a theory. A Tumblr-ing YouTuber theory!

And by the way, I wanna just leave this here for you guys to think about.
