So I dropped this in the discord server, but I figured I should put it here too. I know I don’t really have much of a social media reach, but anyone it helps motivate and boosts spirits is worth it.
Update on the Danny video front: views-wise we’re only about 24k behind his latest Good Omens video after being out about a 5 days shorter. Since I started following the views, our video has gone up about 26k, while the GO one has gone up about 4K. So I consider that a pretty good job so far. He already said he was going to finish GO, so if we can at least make comparable numbers, that’s good.
Also, when comparing comments, we have almost double the GO video. Granted SOME were people complaining about it not being the owl house, but not enough for it to do those numbers. We’re also only about 1k behind on likes.
Also also, I keep saying “us” and “our” like we’re the ones who made the video lol. But I guess we have a right to claim at least a tiny bit of it, we bullied the poor dude into making it lol.
We’re doing good guys. I know it sucks right now, but we’re a strong force to be reckoned with. Take joy in everything you can, don’t let Netflix rob you of that.
Enjoy promptober, you guys are insanely talented and I’m loving everything I’ve seen so far.

This isn’t just about getting a season 2: we’re trying to get justice for the cast, crew, and writers behind this unapologetically queer show. Netflix has gotten far too comfortable canceling fantasy shows, especially ones that are diverse or LGBTQ+ (like Dead Boy Detectives), and we want to send a message that our stories are worth telling.
Dead Boy Detectives is campy, supernatural, and oh so delightfully QUEER! It’s also full of drama, horror, magic, romance, action, stunning visuals, and hilarious quips. But my favorite part of all is the show's heavy focus on themes of grief, overcoming trauma, and self-acceptance through emotionally provocative character arcs that will touch your heart. As a huge fan of Mike's works, I promise you guys will LOVE this show and should check it out! It's a perfect binge for spooky season at only 8 episodes!💜

We're trying to save it, and every new view helps us do so. It did not deserve to be canceled by Netflix, like so many shows before it, and this show was particularly important to so many people because of its incredible queer and diverse representation. Not to mention the fact that the writers already wrote season 2 at Netflix's request, and now Netflix is just... sitting on it, selfishly gatekeeping the creators from taking their own story elsewhere. (a horribly slimy thing to do, in my opinion).
Dead Boy Detectives is campy, whimsical, supernatural, and oh so delightfully QUEER! The age range of characters is diverse and the lead cast is ¾ POC! This show is full of drama, horror, magic, romance, action, stunning visuals, cunty villains, and hilarious quips. But my favorite part of all is the show’s heavy focus on themes of grief, overcoming trauma, and self-acceptance through emotionally provocative character arcs that will touch your heart. I feel confident when I promise you guys will LOVE this show and should check it out! It’s a perfect binge for spooky season at only 8 episodes!💜
